Played on a friend's ps2 as a child, my brother got it for x-box. Great dueling game. In the words of one review, for being a movie knockoff game, this had no business being as good as it is. P.s. my little brother spams stun, stun is OP.
also, when you’re holding up the youngling with the force grasp, hit stab button and you’ll see a cool animation. I can’t explain what the animation is since I haven’t played it since 2014
Lord of the Rings Return of the King, Star Wars Episode III Reveng of the Sith & Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End are my favourite Duelling and Sword fighting games. I have all these games and treasure them still, now and always.
@@AndysTake What I love so much about At World's End. Well I'd have 2 say the boss levels. The Dueling is intense, its takes alot of focus and you can't afford to make a mistake. When engaging in a duel the first number one rule is Parrying. You can either go on the attack or go on the defence. There's three options to choose from, you may either attack high, attack low or thrust at your opponent. You can also Counter attack. However in order to perform a special move on your opponent, you need to keep a string of parry's to counter your enemy or to unlock the special attack. It's fun and it's engaging, you would love it. My favourite level would have 2 be the Maelstrom Battle, where you face the Flying Dutchman and duel Davy Jones. I have the game 🎮 on Xbox 360 you see.
@@donnell.charles77 that sounds awesome mate, I’ll try to check it out! Thanks for the detailed explanation :) is it level based like ROTS? Or purely battle focused?
So sad for me to read people saying how they used to play this game I play this game on my PS2 all the time bought it refurbished on eBay about three years ago and when it takes a shit I will buy another one.
One of the best games ever tbh. Makes me want to get an xbox or ps2 and play it soooo bad. Especially since I just got the Jedi Outcast/Jedi Academy games
Your game looks way better than my Xbox one bc copy. I remember playing this game as a kid and thinking it looked really good for a 2005 titled when it’s a video game for a movie.
It’s because most reviewers use upscaled PS2 emulation on a PC. Bit annoying tbh as it’s misleading due to the majority of people not playing PS2 games on a PC.
Nice robes you dork! Hahaha Nah for real I love it 😎💜 What did you think of the Obi Wan series? I liked how it picked up from RotS. Edit: I agree revenge of the Sith was my favourite star wars film too! Though dual of the fates was awesome that fight choreography between Obi Wan and Darth Maul was awesome.
Hahahaha thank you!! :D what I think about Obi, well, now that’s a question for a long ass video! But in total, I think it has some amazing high points, some damning lows, but an overall mediocre and logic-defying vibe. It’s a shame, really, I wish it was much better than it turned out to be, even though I think it has great actors all around!
@@AndysTake I guess for me I liked it because I went in expecting so little. I'm one of about 5 people who liked the book of Boba Fett. Disney showed us that none of anything actually matters. The Mandalorian was pretty good, that seems to be the winner because they mostly departed from the cheesy parts that so many star wars films have in them. I gotta say tho Leia Organa was a well written character, she's no more cheesy than Padame. Let's be real here she's fighting on geonosis and talking about aggressive negotiations puns when she's like had her back ripped open by some cat monster. I dunno. Mando was gritty and I would watch that if star wars didn't exist. They should aim for that, it's why rogue one was awesome too. No real clutching onto these fan service tropes...
I still can't get over that you have Jedi robes that's cool as, like a Norwegian Mace Windu. I thought it was cool that Samuel L Jackson asked to have a purple light sabre so it was easy for him to point himself out to his kids ;)
@@chellybub Understandable, again, I really wanted to like Obi, and it really works if you kind of just don’t care anymore haha, because like you said, it seems Disney doesn’t care that things don’t make sense. And yes, I got the robes just over a month ago! It’s really awesome :D I’m such a nerd, but it’s been a dream of mine!!
this game and Jedi Knight/academy are my favourite Star Wars games. This was way better than the fallen order and forces unleashed games. Jedi Academy still is my favourite with best lightsaber combat, simple on paper but so much more complex than you think.
I wish that they remastered the game for the newer consoles. Just update the graphics. they did that with battle for the bikini bottom I don’t see what the issue would be for this game
Just tried it on my arcade cabinet and it's a really nice game (missed it on its release). I still prefer KOTOR and the Jedi Knight series (the combat is top notch) but it's a nice addition to my list.
5:20 Was with you until you started talking about relatability. Relatability is narcissism at the end of the day. The term you're looking for is fleshed out.
This game was rated 3/10 by ign at the time and badly reviewed by many other sites but I didn’t give a crap enjoyed it to try fullest and just got it again on xsx.
Imma say a controversial thing: This has better lightsaber combat than Jedi outcast/ academy that for some reason are tbe "gold standard" for lightsaber combat in games and I never agreed with that sentiment
>"The BEST Star Wars Game? Revenge of the Sith PS2" Not really. It is a quality game, but far from the best one. It's too gamey, and fails to capture the star wars experience of adventuring and exploration, with a huge world to uncover around the player. Games with RPG elements (like KOTOR), or action-adventure components (like Star Wars Obi Wan, or The Phantom Menace for the PC) point into the correct direction of what an ideal Star Wars game should be. If this game had more adventuring, exploration and rpg elements, then yes, it would have been the best.
Best combat ever is a lie! Jedi survivor and force awakens have 10x better combat than this game maybe the 3rd best combat of star wars games I’d agree but yeah the past 2 Star Wars games to this date have 10x better combat as a fact of life not opinion!
I would agree with Survivor but Awakens? Are you talking the lego force awakens game? Nahhh I still have this in the top 3 in terms of only Lightsaber combat
Played on a friend's ps2 as a child, my brother got it for x-box. Great dueling game.

Indeed!
Anakins death scream in this game 😂😂😂
After his yell in the Clone Wars micro series the director told him " I need that but... PAIN"

Hello there @@AndysTake. The game, itself is purely level based. The same as Revenge of the Sith & Return of the King.
that game was so good, played it for weeks with my brother, arena and coop was so nice
This was the game that made me buy the PS2 hahaha. Had a great time playing it as a kid.
Ah it was so awesome back then! Glad you enjoyed it too :D
I played the crap out of it when I was a kid; I still remember (almost) all the combos, ahah.
So sad for me to read people saying how they used to play this game I play this game on my PS2 all the time bought it refurbished on eBay about three years ago and when it takes a shit I will buy another one.
It's on ps store on PS3 for like 10 bucks
You non-Australians and your posting at your peak hour and my midnight, literally 12:04 AM.
Hah! I too wish everyone had the same time zone
One of the best games ever tbh. Makes me want to get an xbox or ps2 and play it soooo bad. Especially since I just got the Jedi Outcast/Jedi Academy games
Play it on Xbox series s for dirt cheap in 4K
Xbox one plays it as well
They sell it digital for cheap
Xbox is preserving games like this gem 💎
Awesome content tho brother keep going
Thank you :D
I rented this game week after week from blockbuster.
I main Grevious and Doomu, who is your favorite character to play?
Haha! I main Anakin and Obi-Wan, but Grevious is a b**** to fight against, his four sabers are just so hard to get away from. Even the two honestly.
If it had more duel characters it would definitely be the best Star Wars game

I know right?

Yeah, this game just feels infinitely better than the Force Unleashed, and even better than Fallen Order, like you said. It’s crazy to think about.

Oh yes, KOTOR is fantastic and obviously in different genre/league, but this remains an extremely charming and fun game :) I’m glad you got to try it!
Wait you said it’s backwards compatible I never heard it was did you play it on there because if it is I’m literally going to buy it I love this game!
Sounds so weird to hear clone wars Obi wan talking to a definitely not Matt Lanter Anakin
the game also needed a targeting system. the amount of absolute wiffs are upsetting
It was fun, and it had Cheat Codes...Ah the Good Old Days...

Sure, RoTS is cool, but to me nothing surpasses KOTOR 2
KOTOR 2 has a great story but it has no multiplayer.
Great story but I wouldn't consider their lightsaber combat to be the best. Kotor wasn't that kind of game
You can't even compare the gameplay.
