  • Hi there! Today we're tackling a DIY scratch build of a custom designed Helm for Iron Man's Mk. 15 Stealth Armor. For various reasons that will become apparent during this build, I've nicknamed this model 'Lynx'.
This is part 1 of a 2 part series, and in this episode, we're focusing on building the Helm itself, and getting it ready for electronics.
In part 2, we're going to integrate remote listening and night vision through a heads up display, in order to upgrade this Helm from basic stealth to a fully functional stealth recon platform.
This ridiculously sick design was done by Budwin, you can find the stl files here:

For this Helm, I used repurposed laser safety glass lenses for the eyes. You can find a various array of laser safety glass (and chose your preferred optical density and spectrum effectiveness) here:

This Helm is painted in Musou Black Paint, which absorbs 99.4% of all visible light - it's absolutely insanely cool. The manufacturers of this product warn you not to become a ninja - but they don't say anything at all about becoming Iron Man... You can find this paint here:

The Black Weatherstripping I use between the Helm and the Faceplate can be found here:

The padding inside the Helm is Drawer Liner, I chose Gray, it comes in many colors. You can find it here:

The theme for our Channel comes from 'Broken Disco' by TeknoAxe, who is the world's premier royalty free musician and composer. You can find this track here:

Other music in this video is also by TeknoAxe, here are the titles and where you can find them...
