I bought one to help diagnose my older personal cars. I liked it because of the free software updates, updates over wifi, no subscriptions to purchase. I couldn't justify a more expensive scanner for the few times a year I might actually use it. Would I like a fancy expensive scanner? Sure but they are just too expensive for the diy'er
The pro version same brand is 2 years free updates.. is this model free updates for life do you know

I just got mine, first thing was selecting language it doesn’t have USA English so I have to choose Canada, then it directed me to update the system and register with a WiFi and password and I did, lastly the layout is a bit different than yours maybe because of the update. Thanks for your review though was very helpful.
Amazing video. I'm hoping you can touch on older scan tools like the Snap On Vantage Pro/Ultra or Verus Edge. The guided diagnostic with the scope looks like a good affordable tool.
man I really loathe snap on scanners. I got stuck using the verus and solus? at an indy shop, drove me bonkers with mercedes. to me they are great for american cars and junk for euro. thats my opinion so far. my manager here does have a snap on ill tell him to bring it in and ill see what I can do. I appreciate you taking the time to comment.

Well, that was a bit of a anti climax after all that wait! Another good review Lou, what you demonstrated was great and gave me a clearer understanding of the limitations of this price range. I am sure the Artidiag600s is good value for money but spending 50 to 100 dollars more is more likely to get to the level of investigation I am aiming for. I will review your video on the foxwell NT710, I think that scanner is more in alignment with my expectations. Thanks for this video, it has probably saved me spending money on a scanner that doesn't quite match my needs. The struggle for me is at 68 and no longer have a workshop, how often am I really going to need a better scanner? Still I think the NT710 is better choice. I look forward to seeing your next video.

Do you have to pay every year in order for this OBD reader to work ? If you dont pay does that still work ? Do you need to have internet to used it ? If you don't updates does that still work without updates ? Out from the box can you used it without wifi or internet ? Can this scan for Fuel Pressure ? And can this scan for compression test ? Is this a Complete diagnostic Scan tools ?does it Scan from 1996 cars going up ? How about Toyota Camry 2001 2.2 Liter 4 Cyl or Buick Park Ave 2003 3.8 Liter does it Scan these cars ? Does this scan for battery ignition parameters ? Does it Scan for a bad head gaskets ? Is this the latest version 2024 ? Is this the same as the Topdon Artidiag500S ?

Thoroughly impressed by such a basic scanner. Maybe i missed it, but will this show cam/crank/VVT in live or custom data? Good show, new sub.
Thanks 😊 and yes it shows all live data if originally available from oem scanners from what I have experienced.
Not being bidirectional, you can’t cycle sensors like the purge valves etc?

Hey I actually have this… fir some reasons it wont scan the ECM on my Sl350.. but it can read the rest of the modules.. when i got a bt obii the ecm showed up…. I wanted to know is there something wrong with the ecm or the tool
Try all 3’ways with this scanner.
1- automatic scan
2- manually try and select the module
3- try the obd2 function of this scanner.
Oh and if you can manually pick a different year try to pick a different year. If none read the engine module then its the scanner. Send in feedback and or check for updates. Hope it works!

I've had this for about a year know and works perfect for me and my kids we are diy but how can we reprogram key fobs with this scanner or would I have to buy another one?
Not sure what you mean by reprogram. It depends on the make of car. Each manufacturer is different. You can check through the services screen.

@@DoctorPepper4 I just double checked, this scanner does not have that capability. You would need an all systems scanner with bidirectional control that has keys in the maintenance functions.

The scanner page does say 96 and newer so I would venture to guess yes it should. So if you purchase make sure theres a return policy. That way you are not stuck with it if it doesnt.
I know this video is a year old. Can this scan tool be used on a 2019 audi with vag com?

I have a 👉E.S.C ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC). After removing my stealing wheel to repair the lock, 👉👉👉👉would this remove the code?💥. I have no clue why that popped up besides I forgot to unplug my battery and I unplug a cords attached to the steering wheel. Mercedes-benz wants $200 just to put a reader on it without repair. It's ridiculous. My car runs great, and no issues
Yes this would remove the code as long as its fixed. Sometimes codes set from unplugged items while battery was connected.
A setting up walk through would have been good.
Its hard to know what a viewer will want to see. 🤷🏼♂️😔

@@geraldmcneal7110 The S you can bleed the brakes and retract the brakes with certain models of cars. Also some other added features. Not a big difference.

@@TheCrag1234 I have yet to have a vci issue with any aftermarket, whether it be launch, autel or topdon. even the a30m from xtool. they are pretty reliable in my experience.

Help! Boot loop
My ArtiDiag 600S went into a boot loop and I can't reset it. I've tried the reset button but nothing happens. Please help! Great review, by the way!

Yes all scanners with wifi can use hotspots. I dont remember having an issue
