    Malaysia is much like Singapore, with more Malays, more affordable cost of living, more land to explore, more central in term of connectivity to other countries, less kiasu, more relax, less stress, friendlier and warmer citizens, and much more delicious foods.
    But Malaysia is underrated. Which is quite okay for us Malaysians.
    And also, we have the highest rainfall in SEA which means most of the time you can disregard the weather forecast and just use your own judgement. Or just work around it.

    • @bell-xk5dd
      @bell-xk5dd 4 месяца назад +1

      If Malaysia is doing that great, how come more than 1 million Malaysians are living and working in Singapore and their children are attending Singapore schools? Not to mention too, every day more than 300,000 Malaysians would travel the causeway to come over to work for Singapore?

    • @KhalixMR
      @KhalixMR 4 месяца назад

      @bell-xk5dd there are 33 million Malaysians. Yet, you want to count that 1 million? The only reason is because they're gaining on the opportunity from currency exchange. The rest of us don't even care.
      Most of them cross daily. The key word here is 'daily'. Meaning they get higher pay, with lower living cost but high personal sacrifice (time, family, health, etc). So, it's not sustainable for a person to do so in a long duration.
      If your island is placed beside the US, you would cross the border to work if you can.

      bruhhh singapore also happy living in big land like malaysia ,come on laaa we want you money hahahaha its what china malaysia say

    • @KhalixMR
      @KhalixMR 3 месяца назад +1

      @bell-xk5dd According to statistics, it's close to 900k, not more than 1 million. Don't pick numbers from the sky.
      Even if we take 1 million, the ratio is less than 0.03 compared to the actual nos of Malaysian citizens.
      0.03 look familiar? This is the cost of water per thousand gallons that Singapore bought from Malaysia, a factor that helps you to build your country to what it is today. 3 cents per thousand gallons.
      If your island is situated beside a country with higher currency, I bet your citizens will be working in that country. And you won't get water at 3 cents per thousand gallons.
      So, be thankful for having Malaysia as your neighbour.

    • @KhalixMR

      @afizi1213 ya, spent every weekend in Malaysia, retire in Malaysia.
      Malaysia welcomes Singaporean, of course.
      But, please don't bring the kiasuness and lack of discipline along. Those are not welcome.

    Indonesia is not kind to Americans, in my experience. They are even unkind to Filipinos, who I would say in my experience are the most kind of any people. I dealt with many Indonesians, as a white American myself, and they were exceedingly rude to me due to me "having too much money" However, I also met many PH and they were exceptionally nice to me. If you had to choose between the two, I would say pick PH. Though my personal
    fantasy would be Singapore

    There are good and bad points living in any country. First make a long list, then tick off those you think are important. One thing about living in Arab/Muslim countries, is the question of religious sensitivity which all surveys failed to mention. As a single person or with family members in tow. City living or with country living. Whether your family will be safe physically and from bad influences. Efficiency/safety of public transport. Alternatives in cheaper living. Do you feel accepted or biases you have known. Is pollution or weather important. Most nitty gritty is not covered but word of mouth also plays a part. If you find you friends or family members sad to leave that is a good place to go to.

    I've travelled to all these countries except Indonesia. I'd say no to China, Hong Kong, Japan and Taiwan. You'll find not many people speak English. I wasn't impressed with South Korea or UAE. Maybe it's just me. I would love Thailand but again a language barrier. So it would have to be Malaysia and Singapore. Both expensive countries but very modern and you will find people that speak English. Thankfully you didn't mention Brunei. I didn't like this nation at all

      I think Malaysia is a better choice to live than in Singapore because it is expensive and it is hard to get a work visa and plus you need to be smart I think?

    Is Hong Kong a. country since it was given back to China by the British in the 1990s? No to China; the Chinese are often thought of as being a very unfriendly people and the language problem is a real problem with its script. Most Chinese speak no other language and are insular. Nice to see Malaysia but the climate is awful - I lived there once for 7 years! How about Oman?

    TWO common overevaluations: (1) Singapore: Freedom level is very low; Prices/ Healthcare is too expensive; Police is ineffective. Area is too tiny. (2) Taiwan: Healthcare/ Housing level is low; Wages are low; Weather is not good.
