    this bmw n63 engine was having issues with the camshaft position sensor unable to fix the timing of the engine. in some cases, this problem happens due a bad camshaft sensor but also it can happen due a incorrect timing of the camshaft gear causing a negative or positive angle that cannot be corrected by the computer command. the best to fix it is by inspecting the engine timing using the specific bmw n63 engine timing tool
    wiring problem
    low fuel pressure
    injector failure
    sensor failure
    timing incorrect
    defective or broken engine
    bad shifting solenoids
    low transmissions oil pressure

    transmission sensor problems

    How common are these on this engine? Most people talk about pistons, pcv, and valve stems a lot but rarely timing. Also, how common are transmission failures?

    Well I have 09 750li engine code p0025 seems to be camshaft sensor bank2 sensorB. I took it for repairs and they changed the oil sensors all 4 of them didn't fix the problem. My car is running on limp mode reduced engine power. Still has p0025 code so I think I need to replace camshaft sensor on bank2 sensorB. What do you think

    Hi there, I have coolant in drivers footwell, checked heating core and lines, it seems that coolant is coming from heatshield side, maybe loosened clamps of hoses ? Its n55 f10. Is this possibility ?

    I was waiting for a video like this.
    I have basically the same problem, but I'm not getting misfires. I replaced all 4 Vanos Solenoids, and all other codes/misfires went away.
    But literally 1 code is staying 131101 Crankshaft-exhaust camshaft 2 angle difference outside limit value.
    That's on the drivers side, pretty sure it's the timing or VANOS gear on that side. Car drives...but low power, bad gas mileage & rough idle
    I also replaced the Camshaft sensor, but not the crankshaft. Just basically trying to see, what's the cheapest efficient way too fix it at this point...

    • @MegaCokecake
      @MegaCokecake 3 года назад

      Was the solenoids you replaced OEM? Or aftermarket ones? Same with sensor. I've had bad experience with aftermarket.
      You could try replacing crank sensor but I don't think it will fix the problem. It could be out of timing or most likely Vanos camshaft gear went bad and can't adjust.

    • @MrFlyNikolai
      @MrFlyNikolai 3 года назад +1

      @@MegaCokecake I was thinking that as a possibility too, because I used aftermarket solenoids. The OEMs so damn expensive!
      But when I put them in, the car instantly ran much better. That's why I feel like they're okay
      The cam sensor too, even though it's aftermarket as well...I switched sides with an OEM before I bought it. And it didn't solve anything
      I doubt it's any sensors so I won't even bother with the crankshaft one. Yeah it's probably out of timing on that side, or bad Vanos gear
      Worst case scenario stretched chain 😩. I'm debating on either paying to get the timing checked/replace the VANOS gear.
      Or just put a whole new engine in. What's the cheapest labor for timing check/gear replacement you think?

    • @MegaCokecake
      @MegaCokecake 3 года назад +1

      @@MrFlyNikolai Yeah solenoids could be okay then. I had 1 bad solenoid and when I put aftermarket one, engine ran whorse.
      OEM in here was like 150 €, quite expensive for sure.
      Then your only choice is to check timing on that bank, or even the other bank just to be sure. Valve covers needs to be removed and that is a lot of work. But then you can also check Vanos gears.
      Can't really say how much labor will be, because I'm in Europe and labor here is different I guess.Try find good mechanic who has experience with N63.
      Or you can try to do it yourself, there is a video of valve stem seals replacemet, so you can get a inspiration. You will need timing tools but they are like 100 $ on Amazon or eBay.
      If it's stretch chain then I guess new engine would be less expensive, because of labor and new parts cost.

      @@MegaCokecake I bought the car literally last month for $8000 cash lol, 61k miles. Peanut butter & black interior basically fully loaded
      Seller went to the BMW dealership & they told him he needed the 4 solenoids. He didn't want to bother with it.
      Original price was $100k with the options. So he had all the paperwork, I felt like it was a steal regardless...
      I guess possibly having to put up $3-$5k, on a $8000 investment. Especially to make it brand new again, isn't so bad...

    • @MrFlyNikolai
      @MrFlyNikolai Год назад +1

      @@HeirByFaith The issue for me was the exhaust camshaft sprocket, I guess due to the prior owner...not changing the oil on time. And not replacing the solenoids
      It ended up loosening the bolt in the exhaust sprocket, or making it stick. Long story short bought 1 on eBay for $200, found a BMW master tech to replace it for $750.
      Car now runs amazing ever since January of this year. Mind you the Stealership tried to tell me, the timing chain was stretched...gave me two $20k quotes engine replacement smh. And told me get rid of the car
      They're such liars! It's sad. Always make sure you have ISTA on your laptop. Anyway I paid $8k for the car with 60k miles, and cost me $1000 to fix the timing issue...
      That's steal of the decade you ask me 🙂🙂🙂. Check out my RUclips to see the interior upgrades I did!

    This engine is junk no matter how much new parts you replace, the twin turbocharged Produces so much heat, it literally burn up everything, a massive money pit, bmw should be held accountable, N63 is trash 🗑

      It's such a shame, because it's really a beautiful well built car otherwise.
      It's so hard to let go of it lol, because it literally has everything you would need in a car. So much luxury & technology, and power
      BMW was technically held accountable for it. They paid a lawsuit, and also gave a customer package to replace parts & engine for free
      I just happened to miss out by 1 year 😢
