I have a 2011 550i Bmw with 57,000 miles on it and I’m going through a lot of problems with this car, I’m start to hate BMW right now on
Thank you my friend. My oil cooler lines on the right side started leaking really bad. I'm going to do it on jack stands. And a couple of jacks. This is probably the hardest diy I'm going to do. I'd rather do it my self than get robbed by the dealer. Thank you for the content.

@@johnabner2027 I did it! It took about 3 days. Real pain. Wouldn't wish it on my enemy.
@@johnabner2027 The car is running as designed. Since I took the whole front end off I also tackled the front control arms and sway bar links. The control arms were frozen on. I went through 3 different ball joint separators. I had to buy an adjustable separator. It did the job with some pb blaster and my heavy impact gun.

Question is it possible to cut that hose off and have custom bendable hoses?

Attempting to replace the lines on the passenger side....exact same issue...I'm at a shop so I have a lift....curious if I need to support the radiator an fan assembly or is the subframe the support an will lower with subframe?
thanks i just have a problem for my bmw 750 li 2008 , the oil cooler is for transmision oil cooling ? or engin oil cooling ? i just have 1 side
I just need one hose replace there any way I can Jack the car up with out dropping the subframe
So I have the same car and one of my lines is leaking now is both sides for motor oil and or can I just change the one line that’s broken separately

I have a 2009 750i BMW
Rear main seal is leaking
Also in the front is leaking the upper
Which one of these is causing my sensors to go back so I can know which one to repair first the front or the rear main

How much does this cost to replace? I just was quoted $2400 to replace mine and that seems a little bit too much for a 12 hour job

My 750 just had this problem a few days ago my brother (he's a mechanic) and I did it pretty much the same way you are showing.. the hoses where hard to find no one had the in stock (had to order them). But I'm sure a saved a lot by not letting the dealer do it. Thanks and please keep posting.. 💪🏾💪🏾🔥🔥
Did you remove the subframe?

@@johnabner2027 well driving on the freeway my low oil indicator came on, I pulled over and had oil leaking from underneath the car, thought the engine was blown but it was still running quietly. Had it towed to my brother's (he's a mechanic) but he hates my 750i.... jacked it up (put Jack stands underneath) took off the underneath cover checked the oil filter it was tight, started the car and saw oil coming out the hose. Tracked the hose to the oil coolers..(had to take off the passenger front tire and tire wall as well as the front bumper.. it's a lot of work but beats the dealer or shop price any day. I'm looking for the link to the place I purchased the hose online, I'll post it once I find it.

hello. My car is a type with an oil cooler on the right side only. I want to replace only the lower return hose, but can it be detached by removing only the wheel cover?
I have the same configuration. I got the lines unhooked but I needed like a half inch more clearance because u can wriggle the line towards the wheel well or to the bottom of the engine but the metal parts of the hoses won’t pass through. I’m gonna try again but it seems that I’ll have to take the bolts off that holds the tire on. It holds the subframe up. The space you’re gonna need it’s that much but it was infuriating because my drill wasn’t enough to break the bolt loose. I’m getting the second hose so I’m gonna only do it once I’ll take pics so that you can see if u respond.

Just finished up the oil cooler lines. Couldn’t have done it without your help.
Took a total of 2.5 days to disassemble and then to put back together.

You didn't take any video or pics, did you? I have to do this tomorrow on my 09 750Li. I changed the vanos solenoids on it and I thought that was an intense job lol
I have the same car, mine is leaking and burning oil lol. Also, the coolant is leaking, but the BMW dealer told me, they ran a test for 20 mins and found no leak.
Dang! Took me 3hours to disassemble now I’m waiting on parts😅 and I thought I took a long time
