The Aveda Phomollient foam is amazing too!! And I’d love to see the Curlsmith foam compared with the Innersense foam! I might try using the Innersense hairspray as a wet styler that sounds interesting! Such an information packed video!!
Witch I Love your hair 😍 This is really magical for my superfine 3b/3C hair. I use this in the morning to protect my hair before I walk the dogs. I have used it at night if I don’t have access to my silk pillowcase or before I put on my bonnet. I use it after a workout to refresh my hair. I have even used it as a prepoo/detangling spray. I use it all day long! It smells wonderful and my hair loves it!
Love this, there are several I want to try NIW! Thank you for breaking down ingredients, your likes and preferences of them and visual ingredrient list was very helpful!
I would love it if you would do a top ten for different type of products like you have already done but focused exclusively for different hair types (fine, medium, course). I have fine and low density hair. Always looking for info on fine hair. Thank you.
I like the Shea Moisture coconut and hibiscus foam. It's really great for definition and shine, and I can use it on refresh days as well as wash day. Also, curl refreshing sprays that I like are Chi Curls Defined Aloe and Agave spray (the leave in from this line is fantastic but packaged poorly) and John Frieda Day 2 spray. I am currently trying out the Eve Naturals curl jam, and it may be a new favorite.
Thank you Gena! Going to order bouncecurl hairspray now with your code. Noticed in this south Florida humidity, gel and mousse just aren’t doing it for me anymore and the hairsprays I’ve tried were drying
love the curl smith! But like you said it has no hold and i live in arizona so its a must need even dor my wavy/ curly hair. It does define i just wish they added more hold then it would be a holy grail!
I love the ogx locking + coconut curl decadent creamy mousse! It has polyquaternium 4 but also has silicones which is not a CGM approved ingredient but it really gave me a good hold (level 4 hold/strong) and tamed my frizz! I also have a recommendation I would like to give for a video idea and that is styling products compatibility because I struggle with clumps when I blend some products together and it makes me upset because there are products that I love using which I can’t use with other products I also love. It might be hard to make but just thought of sharing this idea for content 😊 thank you for sharing all these amazing videos btw! ♥️
Hello. I very much appreciate your videos, because you obviously have done your research and explain things so well! Thank you! What would you recommend that I use for my very thin, fine hair to keep the short curls (they NEVER grow long) from the top of my forehead from separating from the rest of my hair at the side of my face-very ugly, especially when viewed from the side. Any object used for that purpose pins my hair down right where I need the most body. So I am wondering about a hairspray that will not damage those fragile hairs, but will "glue" them to the rest of my hair. I just need a tiny, but strong amount placed at strategic points. There are SO MANY hairsprays out there, I do not know where to begin. Oh, and no strong, obnoxious smell is also a must. Please help!
Hi Gena thanks for your great video. I did not care for the innersense hairspray, did nothing for me but the Jessicurl Aquavescent hairspray is perfection, it trumps the Bounce curl one by far. It takes any mediocre product you put underneath to a perfect hairday!
I’m obsessed with the AG Hair Care Mousse gel. I learned about it from Amanda Guido. Gives my hair just enough hold and mostly volume without any buildup!
I’ve tried it and shared my results on Instagram stories (i think its saved to my story highlights). I got amazing results but it didnt hold up past day 1
Okay, if you want mousse recommendations you need to try Kinky-Curly's mousse. It's a medium to strong hold. It's protein free and you can scrunch out the crunch easily. And the other one is one I just bought and I am in love. It's The Doux Mousse Def. It's AMAZING! I live in high humidity and my hair is still damaged so this mousse is great. It's rich in protein and is strong to extra strong hold. It's become my favorite mousse and I used to hate mousse. It's worth a try.
I actually have a question so i use marc anthony curl cream and the moose as well as the heat protectant you recommended but my hair is super thin at spots almost like bald spots as well as some hair just hurts to move around. Would you be able to recomend somthing to help?
Hi! I've been meaning to get the Not Your Mother's Mousse and I was just wondering if you found that it made your hair sticky at all as I just bought a different mousse and the stickiness from it is horrrible. THANK YOU!
Yeah, it can if you use a lot. The NYM curl talk products will build up if you don’t clarify often and if you have low porosity hair that gets build up easily
You should try the Tresemmé hairspray thats alcohol free. Its called invisible styler. I really like this hairspray. I just found it a few months ago at target. I think they also sell it @ walmart.
unfortunately I really hated the curlsmith curl reactivating spray. It made my hair super sticky. In general, the curlsmith products don't work well with my 2c/3a curls at all:(
Does anybody really understand the difference between mousse and foam? I like a lot mousses but haven’t really found a foam I like. Any strong hold foam suggestions?
Foams aren't really meant to provide hold, they're more watered down and just provide some texture for creating a boost of a volume. Mousse on the other hand is more impactful and actually can be used as a main styler, in place of gel.
@@GenaMarie So far I like the hair spray more than the Innersense one, which doesn't give me enough hold. The Jessicurl Spiralicious Gel is ok. I like it on refresh days more than wash day for some reason. I've only tried samples too, but so far the hair spray really holds my curls together! I use all Innersense products and love them, but they're pricy so I'm looking for cheaper, clean products with no artificial fragrance.
Hey!! New subscriber, love your videos! I'm new to this curl thing I just learned that I have 2a/b hair... its thin, low density... still trying to figure out the porosity.. I think its high because I have colored my hair before but haven't in maybe a year or so and its long like to my waist... but because I'm new I'm lost on how to get less frizz and more curls... have you done or have any tip videos?
Me: I hate the texture of mousse, no thank you! Also me: *watches Gena, ManesbyMell, and Tik Toks* Fine, I'll try mousse. *tries it* I still hate the texture of mousse. My hair: I swear, if you do not use mousse, I will scream and POOF
Personally, I think that would be a good idea. But you know there are people who would get defensive about their Holy Grail product and try to start some drama 🤪🥸.

I am in LOVE with the innersene products, my hair looks so healthy after using them. It's very expensive but so worth it
Me too!
Totally twisted curl boosting hair mousse by Herbal Essence is PHEMON for my low density high porosity 2C hair!!!!
I've heard great things about it!
The Aveda Phomollient foam is amazing too!! And I’d love to see the Curlsmith foam compared with the Innersense foam! I might try using the Innersense hairspray as a wet styler that sounds interesting! Such an information packed video!!

OGX Locking + Curls Decadent Creamy Mousse is my fav! The NYM mousse used to be my go to but after a while I noticed it dried out my hair 😕

Great feedback, thanks for sharing! I too have superfine 3B curls so I was worried the Witch spray would be far too heavy, but it sounds perfect!

yessss compare the curlsmith with innersense!

My favorite mousse is the OGX Locking + Curls Decadent Creamy Mouse. I have used it for 6 months and I love it!
This was excellent. Thank you Gena! I’m always looking to improve my curl game:)

The CURLS scalp treatments re really nice as well. They have mint and feel amazing!

Thank you Gena for all the information, I appreciate these top 10 videos. You can also try AG Hair Care mousse gel, really good in the winter time.
Hi Gena, I'm so excited for your video! Thank you so much!! Have a beautiful day!!! ❤
Thank you, Angela! You too!
dippity do girls with curls mousse is AMAZING!! one of my favs along with the Curlsmith one.
Ooh i need to try it!
I’m obsessed with the AG Hair Care Mousse gel. I learned about it from Amanda Guido. Gives my hair just enough hold and mostly volume without any buildup!
Where do you guys yours? I go online to buy it directly from AG and it’s always out of stock and hard to find in stores!
@@lesliegutierrez-roman1690 I get it on Amazon!
Aveda Phomollient Volumizing Foam. It's great for fine hair too.
I’d love to see a comparison between the Curl Smith protein cream, new 3-1 protein cream and the air dry cream😬❤️
Great idea!
I use moose trsseme it give me volume and the curls thst I like. Best use after shower.
I love Curlsmith Bouncy Strenght Volume Foam and Bounce Curl Hairspray 🥰
Definitelyyy try the giovanni foam, it gives me INCREDIBLE volume

Is Kinky Curly’s a foam?
@@Star-dj1kw They're both technically foams but they're called mousse. My hair doesn't like traditional mousse. It's so good though.
I love this kind of videos ❤
Thank you, Gena! So very helpful.
Gena.how do u protect your hair from the sun?do u use a hair spf?
I need to try that dry shampoo 😍 I’m a dry shampoo fiend 👏
It's so good! It even has a "cooling" effect. 🙌🏼

Thank you, I've been looking to switch out my aerosol hairspray with a CGM one once it is empty. The aerosols are so drying D:
Love beauty and planet has a water based hair spray too
