Good for her, except when she is selfish toward other shoppers who may have needed the things too, replying with a snotty "early bird gets the worm" vs. letting him have a few! THAT I have a problem with. People shouldn't have to go to the store "early" to be able to get the things they need.

@@aprilcampbell4169 yeah. In England only 1 supermarket does it now and the others has stopped and one just stopped a few years ago. And it's more like vouchers the supermarket gives the customers with their own mini printer. Cause of these selfish b****** I never knew the existence of coupons

I am an extreme couponer, but I have a real problem with this woman. I NEVER clear the shelves that's awful because others want those deals to. I also let people go ahead of me in line and never get an attitude. The store is helping you why would you get mad at them? I wish more people didn't do things like this cuz it gives couponers bad name.
Yes! I am a couponer as well; And I have the same attitude as you! Anytime a coupon does not work, I let them know no worries, I understand, not their problem, and move on. I am very polite and friendly to the cashiers. I even bring my main cashier at the one store I shop weekly Starbucks coffee every once in a while. This is why Cashiers hate couponers The way they do! People like this are horrible! There’s never a reason to clear the shelves! This is why stores are now limiting the amount of coupons and transactions because of people like this.
I use to be a couponer and this is the problem I have with couponers who like to clear the shelves
@@JJ-hw9dt I didn’t even know one person could do multiple transactions. I always grew up where if we needed to do more than one transaction my mom handed me or my sister the coupon and money so it was one of us “buying” the other items. This was largely done a Micheals if we needed multiple things so we could use multiple 40% off coupons but definitely happened at a few other places.
I worked at a grocery store years ago, and they actually banned people who cleared the shelves
Of course the same crazy person on the school board making stupid decisions is gonna be the same crazy person clearing out shelves every time anything is on sale at the local store

She admitted she spends 30 hours a week on couponing and she has a job. Assuming the job she works is full time, which would be 40 hours on average, plus the 30 from couponing, that's 70 hours a week of work and couponing. That's ridiculous
The edible stuff will go out of date before you can use it up. You can even donate some of that to food bank for others. This is greediness.....

She does donate, but many of these coupon people sell their stuff on fb marketplace.
She very clearly stated she was asked to do this haul for her son's football team...team of growing young men all that will be gone in no time

yeah, that is what i have been thinking. i would probably get 1 of each item instead of +100 because i wouldn't be able to use that all before the expiry date.

In my area you clear a shelf you are looked at as rude and disrespectful. I never clear a shelf and I don't think I ever want to. She is rude for clearing the shelf. Hope someone clears the shelf at her stores.

Back when my kids were little, stores used to double dollar coupons a couple of times a month. i stocked up on bandaids, baggies, and cleaners, but the most i had was several boxes... NOT like these stockpiles.
my mom is a couponer bc financially but she doesn’t do this 😭😭✋🏽 she only gets like 3 shampoos and like cereal that’s it- and if she doesn’t use it she gives it away
Same. I coupon and a fraction of the coupon purchases (whether for money off, cashback or bonus points) get donated to the foodbank or, to a lesser degree, the rehoming shelter… no way would I shelf clear
I feel bad when there's only 3 of something on the shelf and I take two. A man at the store last week took all 7 of the dinner roll packets and an elderly lady gave him a ballocking over it. That's frowned upon in New Zealand and we're very direct people. If you're being greedy at the store you can be sure someone will read you the riot act sharpish.
The amount she spends to get these coupons could be used working and making more than she’s saving..
At an average of 19.33 dollars an hour she could be making 2319.6 dollars a month in the time she uses to get coupons, and that's in actual money not random food that won't be eaten in 3 years

If she spent time on that then she could spend time on something else that would make her even more money, what she does with that money is irrelevant. Either way she could be getting more or giving more with less time spent

As someone who appreciates the thrifty types who use a tea bag twice I like her style but can't help but think surely it must be easier to spend all that time trying to just make more money rather than avoiding spending it!
For sure lol. Working 30 hours instead of using 30 hours in couponing will make her enough money to buy the groceries she needs instead of having to stockpile on 50 bottles of ketchup and barbeque sauce.
Moreover, these shows seem outdated. Many stores don't allow double couponing anymore. She must've been devastated when the stores began to change their policies

Part of me admire her for supporting her son’s football team and the after school program, the other part of me resents her for hoarding. Our local couponers bundle items up and sell them on FB market place. I heard it’s illegal but many people do it.
People were doing that with toilet paper in 2020 when we started having shortages
I don’t have any problem with her cleaning the shelves since she’s giving it away but she could have at least told the girl congratulations on her graduation. Poor girl. She worked hard she deserved at least that!
It's annoying when you go looking for something and there's nothing left of it. Now I know why. Some people must be getting their stockpiles restocked. At least shes saving money.
This amazes me since we don't have these sort of coupons in my country. I can totally understand that her teenage daughter doesn't like to participate because they were at the supermarket for 10 hours. It would have been a nice gesture for the Mum to let her get a few treats with the overage instead of more drinks for her sons sports team. The daughter helped out by pushing trolleys etc and the son and his friends basically got rewarded for doing nothing. I know that this is just a tiny glimpse into their lives so my comment is based around what I saw. Bluntly put this mother put her son first, the sons friends second and her daughter last.

Clearing shelves wouldn't work in Europe! There is a one coupon, not combining policy for coupons which makes sense bc the coupons are for advertising purposes not for hoarding items like that! Especially when there isn't enough for everyone

Some stores limit the number of items purchased in a day to one customer. Store managers like to be notified before hand so they can order extra if they know a customer is going to want more than the usual amount of product at one time. We once had a customer buy so many coupon items that they wouldn't fit in her vehicle! Joke was on her!!!

Stores do not create the original coupons. Manufacturers of the merchandise do. It's marketing!

@@alyssagosche8017 Exactly! That's why some stores limit the number of items a person can buy in any given day. A true couponer makes relationships with their stores and gets the ads ahead of time to make sure the manager orders enough to cover their "haul." If a manager knows a person wants a bunch of any kind of item when it goes on sale, he/she will order more to accommodate them. Most couponers don't do that, though. I worked in retail for nine years to observe it from both sides.

The employees of the retail stores knows that it is important to close sales, and its healthier, since it is everyday clean, the shelves are clean, replenishment is as a packet of gondolas at the Warehouse. The Warehouse Manager knows next moving items, asset equipment supplies and inventories, not destined to Dumpsters.****IMPORTANT*******

When I worked retail couponers were allowed to ring up only three transactions before having to go to another register or having to wait in line again. Our mission was to get people in and out quickly and one of these couponers could hold up a long line of customers that were potentially lost. My store manager was not going to let that happen!

We gave better customer service than your company which made my job easier since I enjoyed pleasing customers when I could. I'm not a coupon lady, but when We knew ahead of time when my favorite soda pop was going to be on sale my boss knew to always order me a couple cases of it for me. He'd put it in the stock room with my name on it for me. He was the greatest boss and I was fortunate to work for him before I retired.
