I did see one scene where Kim and Kourtney were physically fighting 🙈 I couldn’t believe it. That in my personal opinion is most definitely not the way in which you behave in a normal well adjusted family, never mind when you’re in a position where you’re a role model to not only adults but also minors. I definitely wouldn’t want my child connected to the show, however I suppose the more family members are involved in the show the more $$$$’s are coming in, that being said....are they even considering how healthy this is for the children....not only their own children, but the ones who look up to them and have effectively grown up watching KWTK and feel that ‘if they speak and behave that way then it’s normal so I’ll do it.🙈🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ My children have never used bad language in my presence and have never behaved the way Kim and Kourtney did....and I’m under no illusion that they don’t use certain language when not around me, but I also know that they do not behave that way in-front of or around their children.....because I was their role model as my father was my role model and in my view and experience it’s simple- that type of language and behavior is completely inappropriate.🤷🏼♀️

I once got anaesthesia when I had to have dental surgery. There’s nothing restful about it. It knocked me out straight away the minute I breathed in the chemicals. Then I slowly woke up in a very groggy state a few hours later in a bed. It felt like only a minute or two passed by when it was around three or four hours. If anything I felt like getting some actual sleep afterwards.
Where I live they use local anesthesia for all the dental things stuff, even removing a teeth! I never grew up wisdom teeth (don't know if they never existed or they will be forever under my skin, but the dentist said is almost impossible that they'll come out hahha so I'm glad) but my sister once got her tooth removed and it was with local anesthesia :c

Or you were at home then you were at home again but you hurt if you were like me when I got impacted teeth removed. Strangely though now that I think about it those were baby teeth and the first ones I ever got removed under anesthesia.

You may have a different view as you age. I know my views have. I'm 58 now. I have always used good skin care routines and products, but gravity eventually wins. I don't like the changes either. Now I feel like it's the individual's face and money. I don't think I would ever consider actual surgery, but a few injections here and there might not be so bad. Luckily I have a husband that tells me every day I'm as beautiful as the day he met me. It's certainly your opinion. Just please don't bash women that aren't secure or comfortable as they age.

Everyone copes differently. Some cope by distancing themselves through distraction. Some others may obsess about every little thing. Knowledge is key and asking a lot of questions and listening to what your surgeon tells you is vital. Choose a Board Certified Surgeon and talk to people who have had the procedure done.
I love these videos Dr. Youn! Although ive never had a cosmetic procedure, I had an emergency c section and I was petrified that I would end up on a ventilator due to respiratory failure from the anesthesia. All went well for me & baby thankfully!
6:14 - When I had my nose job I was scared of waking up during the procedure! I actually asked my anaesthetist what were the chances of that happening, right as I sat on the operating table, and he said 'as likely as getting hit by a car' - I was about to argue that getting hit by a car is actually really common but by that point the propofol knocked me out lol!
@@10418 It depends on the kind of procedure you need. Mine took less than hour, I think a little over 30 min if my memory is correct. A good surgeon who does a lot of rhinoplasties per week, as my surgeon did, are pretty efficient so that might be why mine was pretty quick. Actually, I didn't need cartilage removed from my ear or rib - it was a fairly straightforward open procedure to remove my bulbous tip and straighten the bridge. If a procedure involves some form of reconstruction or repair of a 'botched' job, especially if cartilage or grafting is needed, then I imagine 2 hours or even more is possible.
My main worry is having the surgery and feeling everything it’s happened before it’s super rare but what happens is people get put under and they seem asleep but you can feel EVERYTHING 😱😱😱

I’ve been through it, it was terrifying, I could even hear the staff talking about their weekend plans and how upset they were that another surgery (mine) was put onto their schedule right before labor day weekend.
At the very least you might never have to worry about that if you stick to important life saving surgeries. Are you a parent, my mom and my friends that have kids are scared of that exact thing. Maybe because I don't have kids, it isn't my worry, I have had great surgeons and confidence in them. Either way, I don't know the actual numbers but seniors and patients with serious health issues like heart seem to be what I have heard 'do not wake up' or have had complications. And I was very concerned as a human about Kanye West's moms death post- plastic surgery. From what I have read, she was not in one of those luxury suites being safely monitored by nurses. She did have a nurse caring for her, but the doctor who performed her procedures did not do a thorough presurgical screening. He would have caught her heart unfitness and he did too many procedures, and probably had her under too long. I don't know if he was recommended and was high priced, therefore they thought him 'good'. I heard about her dying and the news was she didn't wake up. This Wikipedia article explains and they tend to get their facts correct. Yep. My mom woke up during surgery after her foot got crushed under a car engine and it was broke in 17 places. They had taped her eyes shut. And she couldn’t tell them because she had a tube down her throat and she was strapped down as a precaution for the fact they she may wake up during surgery! Luckily an attending noticed her hand was clenched and they knocked her back out! But she remembers waking up

I’ve never had plastic surgery, but I’ve had my wisdom teeth removed. And I can tell you the Anesthesia they used to put me out, (Scottsdale, AZ) made me wake up with a panic attack. Usually when people wake up from anesthesia from wisdom teeth removal, they have these over exaggerated emotional pulls, but they used some local anesthesia for me and I woke up after and wouldn’t stop panicking/crying for 5-10 minutes. I’ve been horrified of being knocked out with it ever since. So to everyone, I strongly recommend looking into the anesthesia they use for surgery.

I'll never forget being screamed at at 16 by my anesthesiologist for takin a few sips of water until I had a panic attack right before I had my second eye surgery. Had to sit for like 2 hours extra until I fully calmed down. Awful. Just me it was two, small mind you, sips of water. I was given the okay by my dr and the nurses that I would be fine considering just how terrified I actually was to be having surgery. Theres NEVER a reason to berate and already nervous CHILD into having a panic attack.

RUclips recommended a video about this 18 yr old girl who went in for breast augmentation (in 2019) and hard two cardiac arrests on the table (before surgery even started and was left alone for 15 mins while under), suffered brain damage, GCS 6-7, and the plastic surgeon/office didn't call 911 until 5-6 hrs later. The anesthesia was given by a CRNA who apparently had a similiar incident 10 years prior that results in brain damage. the girl was in a coma for 14 months before she died. sounds like scary shit.
I would never watch this show willingly but your reactions make it worth it! I've considered getting surgery to make my face less chubby, but I definitely don't need it to live. I feel like there is a such a thing as getting too much surgery, or people having too much of a dependence on it and getting it to try and look like models.

As a mother I would hate if my children behaved in the way they do...Royalty and/or Fame aside...which amongst many things is swearing and behaving in a way (which in my view) is completely inappropriate not only in front of their mother and towards her, but also in front of or in the hearing of their children. I did see one scene where Kim and Kourtney were physically fighting 🙈 I couldn’t believe it. Khloe’s child was apparently sleeping in the next room while they were screaming obscenities and physically fighting, with Kim slapping/punching Kourtney full on across the face. That in my personal opinion is most definitely not the way in which you behave in a normal well adjusted family, never mind when you’re in a position where you’re a role model to not only adults but also minors. I definitely wouldn’t want my child connected to the show, however I suppose the more family members are involved in the show the more $$$$’s are coming in, that being said....are they even considering how healthy this is for the children....not only their own children, but the ones who look up to them and have effectively grown up watching KWTK and feel that ‘if they speak and behave that way then it’s normal so I’ll do it.🙈🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
My children have never used bad language in my presence and have never behaved the way Kim and Kourtney did....and I’m under no illusion that they don’t use certain language when not around me, but I also know that they do not behave that way in-front of or around their children.....because I was their role model as my father was my role model and in my view and experience it’s simple- that type of language and behavior is completely inappropriate.🤷🏼♀️

I once got anaesthesia when I had to have dental surgery. There’s nothing restful about it. It knocked me out straight away the minute I breathed in the chemicals. Then I slowly woke up in a very groggy state a few hours later in a bed. It felt like only a minute or two passed by when it was around three or four hours. If anything I felt like getting some actual sleep afterwards.

Where I live they use local anesthesia for all the dental things stuff, even removing a teeth! I never grew up wisdom teeth (don't know if they never existed or they will be forever under my skin, but the dentist said is almost impossible that they'll come out hahha so I'm glad) but my sister once got her tooth removed and it was with local anesthesia :c

It’s sad because she actually looked great for her age and looked really young. These older women get all these face procedures and I personally think they start to look really odd and even look older.
You may have a different view as you age. I know my views have. I'm 58 now. I have always used good skin care routines and products, but gravity eventually wins. I don't like the changes either. Now I feel like it's the individual's face and money. I don't think I would ever consider actual surgery, but a few injections here and there might not be so bad. Luckily I have a husband that tells me every day I'm as beautiful as the day he met me. It's certainly your opinion. Just please don't bash women that aren't secure or comfortable as they age.

When a surgeon was on his way in to operate on my husband - I asked, “He can die on the table, right? RIGHT?” We’re divorced now. Shocker.
Everyone copes differently. Some cope by distancing themselves through distraction. Some others may obsess about every little thing. Knowledge is key and asking a lot of questions and listening to what your surgeon tells you is vital. Choose a Board Certified Surgeon and talk to people who have had the procedure done.

I love these videos Dr. Youn! Although ive never had a cosmetic procedure, I had an emergency c section and I was petrified that I would end up on a ventilator due to respiratory failure from the anesthesia. All went well for me & baby thankfully!
6:14 - When I had my nose job I was scared of waking up during the procedure! I actually asked my anaesthetist what were the chances of that happening, right as I sat on the operating table, and he said 'as likely as getting hit by a car' - I was about to argue that getting hit by a car is actually really common but by that point the propofol knocked me out lol!

@@10418 It depends on the kind of procedure you need. Mine took less than hour, I think a little over 30 min if my memory is correct. A good surgeon who does a lot of rhinoplasties per week, as my surgeon did, are pretty efficient so that might be why mine was pretty quick. Actually, I didn't need cartilage removed from my ear or rib - it was a fairly straightforward open procedure to remove my bulbous tip and straighten the bridge. If a procedure involves some form of reconstruction or repair of a 'botched' job, especially if cartilage or grafting is needed, then I imagine 2 hours or even more is possible.
My main worry is having the surgery and feeling everything it’s happened before it’s super rare but what happens is people get put under and they seem asleep but you can feel EVERYTHING 😱😱😱

That's true the greatest fear is not waking up or waking up during surgery.
At the very least you might never have to worry about that if you stick to important life saving surgeries. Are you a parent, my mom and my friends that have kids are scared of that exact thing. Maybe because I don't have kids, it isn't my worry, I have had great surgeons and confidence in them. Either way, I don't know the actual numbers but seniors and patients with serious health issues like heart seem to be what I have heard 'do not wake up' or have had complications. And I was very concerned as a human about Kanye West's moms death post- plastic surgery. From what I have read, she was not in one of those luxury suites being safely monitored by nurses. She did have a nurse caring for her, but the doctor who performed her procedures did not do a thorough presurgical screening. He would have caught her heart unfitness and he did too many procedures, and probably had her under too long. I don't know if he was recommended and was high priced, therefore they thought him 'good'. I heard about her dying and the news was she didn't wake up. This Wikipedia article explains and they tend to get their facts correct. Luckily an attending noticed her hand was clenched and they knocked her back out! But she remembers waking up

I’ve never had plastic surgery, but I’ve had my wisdom teeth removed. And I can tell you the Anesthesia they used to put me out, (Scottsdale, AZ) made me wake up with a panic attack. Usually when people wake up from anesthesia from wisdom teeth removal, they have these over exaggerated emotional pulls, but they used some local anesthesia for me and I woke up after and wouldn’t stop panicking/crying for 5-10 minutes. I’ve been horrified of being knocked out with it ever since. So to everyone, I strongly recommend looking into the anesthesia they use for surgery.

Had to sit for like 2 hours extra until I fully calmed down. Awful. Thank god for the nurses, my dr and the other anesthesiologist for being so kind to me knowing I was so nervous and terrified & after

@@beckyy2011 at 16 you're not a child anymore you're grown enough to understand you shouldn't drink or eat anything for 8 to 12 hours before anesthesia, that's the rule everywhere exceptions only if you need to take pills and that also has to be taken hours before operation, that's why he's an anesthesiologist cause he knows the risks and there are risks even if you drink a few sips, no one wants to risk their jobs because you wanted some water

RUclips recommended a video about this 18 yr old girl who went in for breast augmentation (in 2019) and hard two cardiac arrests on the table (before surgery even started and was left alone for 15 mins while under), suffered brain damage, GCS 6-7, and the plastic surgeon/office didn't call 911 until 5-6 hrs later. The anesthesia was given by a CRNA who apparently had a similiar incident 10 years prior that results in brain damage. the girl was in a coma for 14 months before she died. sounds like scary shit.

I've considered getting surgery to make my face less chubby, but I definitely don't need it to live. I feel like there is a such a thing as getting too much surgery, or people having too much of a dependence on it and getting it to try and look like models.
