- Heathrow
A Woman arrives at Heathrow from Cape Town telling IO Lisa Lee she’s here for a training course called ‘Steiner’. It’s a fabrication; she’s here to earn money to send back to her impoverished family in South Africa. She’s the only breadwinner it the family. She is refused entry.
Officer Kay Lomas is handed the case of a ‘student’ who is trying to re-enter the country from India. He claims to be studying in London but lives in Leicester. With both Kay and her boss Sarah Dyson finding his story difficult to believe, Kay calls his cousin who supposedly drives him to college three days a week. He doesn’t have any answers for pretty straightforward questions. Something isn’t right. But he does confirm that the ‘student’ works at his factory. Kay phones his college and finds out he hasn’t attended since November 2007, 6 months ago. Kay confronts him about these discrepancies and he finally admits he has been lying. He also says he paid the college £500 just to say he was attending. He is refused entry.
Yeovil Enforcement - Bingo Hall
The Bristol Enforcement Team have information that there are Brazilians masquerading as Portuguese working at a Bingo Hall in Yeovil. They find one woman who says she’s Portuguese, although her name and date of birth matches that of a Brazilian who entered the country. The team travel to her home to try and find her passport to prove her nationality. After much searching the woman admits she has is Brazilian. This is enough evidence to send her home, even though the passport is never found.
Another raid in Yeovil, this one at a residential address, results in some potential illegal immigrants fleeing from the back of the house, we see them disappear into the distance. Two men are found inside the house and both claim to be Portuguese. They search the house for passports or other ID. One of the team find a Portuguese ID card but it turns out to be forgery. The other man is found to have outstayed his 6 month Brazilian visit visa. Both men are detained and are later returned to Brazil.
Calais
There’s never enough time or people to search every lorry coming into Britain from the Continent. Immigration Officer John Cassidy explains the role of the ‘Spotters’ who picks out which lorries should be searched. On an average day they can find up to 40 clandestines. Today is unusual because they’ve been searching lorries all night, with their CO2 tubes and sense of smell, apparently clandestines who live rough have a very noticeable ‘aroma’. Eventually, as daylight breaks they make a discovery. Five Iraqis are found onboard a lorry. They are later released back outside the port to try again another day.
Officer Lisa Lee was the best so far. She was empathetic and caring, and yet remained a clear mind and stuck to the rules.
This show is so addicting
So true. I have watched and watched over and over again same episodes. I have slept at 2am. I don’t know what it is with this show.
@@mandlas.4305 they put coke on the video i swear to god
Addictive too. 👍🏻
Every show is like a booze.. every government wants us on the hooks in the mouth.
You can tell she use to be a teacher 😂😂😂
you have to believe me I am not lying this time.... lol
Oh I can understand that black lady's sadness and worry from South Africa. Lord! God Bless her!!
I was surprised at her excellent command of the English language, as well as her overall demeanor. If I were a cruise line director and saw this show, I would sponsor, train, and hire her. Of course, this show was made prior to the COVID pandemic, so, most likely, she would have been laid-off by 2020. I, too, wish her the best, but, at the same time, she tried to get in the wrong way. (the nagging question is: Who did HER hair?) ;)
i cannot imagine not being able to find my passport. i would have the biggest anxiety attack.
I have lost mine and never used it. I live in a one room flat.......It has to be here............I am tired of looking for it. I reported it but I guess it doesn't matter since it has never been used.. ...lol
@@LibertyLeslie : did you look under that table over there? Whats in that closet? Hunh. Im stumped. But! It has to be there somewhere . . . whats in that box over there ? . . oh well.
Me too, but that's because we are simple law-abiding people.
I don’t like opening my passport because the day I got the picture I was tired, not allowed to smile, and was wearing a orange shirt, so I looked like a prisoner.
Tyler McDaniel same, mine looks so bad I couldn’t even recognize myself from the photo...
Ms Lisa Lee does her duty with great patience and much compassion; in short an ideal public official!
hahaha funny, full of comediants here....
@@milakowalski4539 ?
I just started watching these shows, and I'm addicted already.
I love how the head border enforcer denies everybody in every episode...😂😂😂😄
He’s just bad news. Overall 😂
Great job officers keep up the great work
You now understand when they say visa does not guarantee you entry! What surprises me is how were the issues visas issued without proper checks from originating countries like financial background, purpose of visit etc...
Do you realize how many people slide through?
Being born into a particular country is a form of lottery. If you were born in a country like the U.S, Canada, U.K then you won the lottery but if you were born in a country from the 3rd world, you kinda missed the lottery win. Its a shame really, wish all countries can develop themselves so their citizens wont have the urge to go seeking residence or shelter in a foreign land.
Ciz
Did you know the London and Settle and Vancouver, has the highest suicide rate in the world. Most of their citizens are homeless, one out of 6 has some sort of mental illness and depression. Lucky for all of you for winning the lottery. I am so glad I wasn't born in UK, Canada or in the USA. I am enjoying my life to the full extent in third world country. I hope I never ever have to live in those above mentioned countries.
Vancouver doesn't have the highest suicide rate in the world. British Columbia (the province Vancouver is in) is actually rather low in suicides compared to other places. Nunavut, a Canadian territory in the far north has the highest rates of suicide in the country. Nunavut is overwhelming aboriginal. Aboriginals in Canada have much higher rates of drug and alcohol abuse, crime and murder compared to the rest of Canada. Aboriginals really do live a third world life, and will continue to so until we end this segregation we call Indian affairs. I'm glad you're living life to the full extent.
Ciz I was born in the UK, my brother was born in India (my parents were on a trip to meet our grandparents).
I have to add actual facts in regards to Canada. Just under 1% of the population of the entire country is homeless. Canada's standard of living in one of the highest in the world. We have low crime, low corruption in government , universal health care top ranking universities low levels of air pollution. A significant portion of our population don't lock their doors at night, even in the cities.
Sunny Dilbag It's not a city if most of the population is homeless. Even then the two groups of homeless people are immigrants and white males aged 20-30.
You just have to have the right documents and speak the truth. That's it👌🏾
That doesn't work in some countries. Other than showing the right documents and speaking the truth, giving $5 helps you. If you grew up in the money world, your definition of "honest" would be different.
pretty much
That is NOT correct at ALL.
If the day is yours and a immigration officer is in good mood, you are in.
Genuine certificate and speaking truth is just a trash.
@@Sudarshansridhar Sounds as if SOMEbody got caught by the cops! :p
CVS: The candidate also needs to prove intent and/or need, which documents don't always show, and, of course, such may be forged and/or state things that aren't true or conflict with what the candidate says to the immigration officials, and they have to be sponsored and/or have adequate funds. Sending the right vibes helps, too.
"Sorry if I said my answer very wrong."
I see no reason to not let her in lol
These are obviously highly trained and extremely competent professionals..Good Work!!!! What. I find hard to believe is that they constantly walk ahead of, WITH THEIR BACKS TURNED, on these potentially dangerous people
The body łanguage gives them away in seconds 😂👋🏻
I wish I know the identity and information on the South Africa lady to help her. Her story really touch me
I agree. Given her excellent command of the English language and her overall demeanor, it would have been nice if a cruise line manager saw this episode, and did something to help (how (s)he'd find the woman is beyond me!), possibly by sponsoring her, training her, then hiring her (if she proved up to the task). However, this episode was filmed prior to the COVID pandemic, so, most likely, she would have been laid-off in 2020, and, possibly, not be re-hired. But, with that newly acquired skill set, she could have set-up her own business in her home town or elsewhere. On the other hand, one wonders why she couldn't find a barber/styling school near her, then apply to the cruise line for their training (i.e., do things by the book).
The woman questioning that "student" doesn't play.
Officer Lomas is so beautiful.
I like these guys!!!! Is America active this way.?
By watching I now know what not to do that would get me refused to entry when I plan to go to the UK for a holiday
Most educational....
The dude flossing his teeth 🤣
Even when Immigration is breaking the door down, you still gotta practice good dental hygiene.😁
You should not ask closed questions? Eg. Do you have portuguise passport? You should ask what passport do you have?
These female officers are beautiful! But then again I melt for British, Australian & Irish ladies. Their voices are like Angels singing...😍🥰
Not beautiful at all…

Never a wrong time to floss your teeth. 35:30
@Pol Pot Someone's really desperate to watch a man flossing! Try 32:58 :)
Dead give away Brazilian, In Brazil, floss all the time, have floss dispensers in bathroom of all restaurants I was at. Every public restroom that I went someone was brushing or flossing. They all seem to have excellent teeth.
@@lynnhauenstein4136 Ewww! ;)
Would YOU want to touch someone who was flossing?
I'd also be more concerned that the strong floss could be used as a garotte.
Lisa Lee felt sorry for the South African lady. I knew she had some compassion in her.
What do you think would happen if every law enforcement official had compassion for everyone who gave them a sob story, legitimate or not? Do you watch UK-based, reality, cop, shows? How many uninsured/unlicensed people would be freed, if cops believed their "I'm fully licensed and insured" lies, which they maintain, even when proved otherwise? Just as doctors, nurses, et al., have to grow some calluses when faced with physical and emotional traumas, so, too, must law enforcement officials. Of course, these days, almost everyone needs such, lest we become mental wrecks, which may explain a lot of the planet's seemingly, deteriorating, social structure. :,(

36:50 So, let me see if I've figured this little mystery out. He told his wife he was visiting his "life long friend", who is a male. He's actually there to meet someone he met sort of more recently. A female.
He was expecting the agent to call the person he was there to see, so he told the truth about how long they've known each other. The agent pulled a fast one and called his wife instead, with her telling the agent he was there to spend time with his life long friend.
3:50 omgoodness.... it's so obvious that this lady is trying to remember her story every excruciating step of the way. 😕 😣
trying to remember? B.S. She's trying to make it up on the spot. Really not that hard to take some time (in advance) to make up your story, then memorize it. Making shit up on the spot is kinda obvious.
3:33 "Me joining the ship...yam"
I was watching the video over again... At 24:47 the interrogater says his name as "Usman" (which means Usman Patel from india) as she was talking over the phone with his relative or college instructor...
A lot of people lose their passports whilst visiting the UK. Wonder why that is?
Pity for the SA Lady
No pity for South Africans, they are chancers!
Its sad because the world is fundamentally so unfair and unequal, but I 100% think she is intending to work illegally
I would want to immigrate to the UK if Kay Lomas was the officer landing me on every trip. Heck, it would be a pleasure to be deported by her after lengthy questioning.
You like to suffer hein? Dreaming about that agent!🤗😘 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
If person lied once , that should disqualify them for 10 years to enter UK or any other country . We don’t need liers
The Portuguese ID card is the old model, and it's not issued anymore. Nowadays it's called "Citizen Card" and size of a credit card. I know because I'm the proud Portuguese owner of the genuine article!
Too bad for the Brits that they left the EU, or they could have unleashed a genuinely devastating weapon on those Brazilian overstayers: actual Portuguese immigration officers. Those can spot a Brazilian from a mile off just by listening to the accent.
Simple shedding tears to genedate sympathy..... a nice trick,
A lot of people can do it on a whim, like many professional actors. And some do so, almost as a reflex, when caught in a lie or are, otherwise, under duress, such as realizing that they spent a fortune or built a life, and then are told that it was all for nothing.
so the uk "bingo hall" is actually a gambling hall... or since when do you play bingo on slot machines?
Damn why didn't the guy tell that cheating man's wife that his "friend" is a woman!
They have five kids, potentially breaking up a family like that serves nobody. A lot of times the spouse is okay with it, or already figured it out, but says to themselves (& friends and family) that it's friends.
It's quite common for people to have their "friend" in a foreign country so nobody finds out, or simply because the world is so interconnected.
Why go through all that trouble. To check for what you give them a break and for what to give them a break.and you never see them again. THATS A WASTE
Bogus colleges is a huge problem and theme here...
I wonder what they do with the people's things once they are sent back to their home country. I have seen them arrest the person, hold them in detention then say they were returned a couple days later. But like the Brazilian woman with an apartment full of stuff , are they allowed to get their things or is it just left there ?
Official: "I don't believe you."
Illegal: "You have to; I'm not lying this time."
LOL!
(loved the hang-dog look when he said that without studies he isn't worth anything;
I wonder who gave him such good acting lessons?)
Why does anyone carry resume and certificates? Like keep them as electronic copies and print them lol!
Yeah, I wondered about that, too, never mind that the paper would be rumpled in the travel bags. The only thing I could think of is that the travelers thought there may not be a way to print them after arrival, which seems absurd, but, in a strange land, how would you know where to look (not all hotels have printers available to their guests, nor may libraries, and copy/print shops are going out-of-business, thanks to home computers, etc)? Also, why not use their home computers to search for foreign places to apply, or put their resumes on that nation's job search websites/agencies/et al.? That would save a fortune in travel expenses, and avoid the possibility of being turned back. The only down side would be the possibility of scammers telling the applicant to send them money for a "guaranteed job."
This is year 2008/09. Pretty sure many did that. Access to printers esp without paying wasn’t that easy. It mattered to Indian students.
whats with the long black outs?
I can't believe the cops didn't surround the Yeovil apartment.
The absconder got away with a casual jogging pace.
I hope they put an undercover to watch the flat for a few days,
in case the absconder decided to get his stuff
(no incriminating documents or IDs in his room?).
Passenger: My life is right there in your hand, that’s Arnie right there.
Immigration officer: That’s right.
Passenger: But still I’m locked like a prisoner.
Sometimes it's genuine but sometimes it's bullshit I guess it still means just have the right paperwork cause people can't read feelings
this is hard to watch...
Bton1233 Heartbreaking!
my god, these immigration officers are so bad at interrogation. They literally lay out all the cards for the detainees to wiggle around.
23:00 he gave her the middle finger
KiMta1lty 😂😂😂
Sure did 😂😂😂
KiMta1lty My profound thanks! That was hilarious, and I would have completely missed it.
Special beam cannon of Piccolo's
Haha he held it there for a minute too
I'd be alarmed at a question, like, "how much cash do you have,"
because, in some countries, it could be that the border guard
wants to know how much money (s)he can take from you as a bribe to let you in.
I suppose there are crooked border agents in some countries - but the UK asks because they want to make sure people coming in to visit have enough money to support themselves while they are there - one woman had $20.00 on her and wanted to stay for few months - no idea how she was going to live, also had CVs' with her, rather indicating she was gonna search for work, who takes CV's/resumes on vacation with them ?
4:32...aaaaand the crocodile tears start to roll.
I live in the US and I've forgotten to lock my front door occasionally. No problem. I live in a small suburban town. Do I want to move to the city next door? No way!
I'm all about making sure people are in the country legally and working legally. But what kind of charge is "suspicion"? That sounds nuts to me... they could do that to anyone
Rich people can move freely with Private Jet while ordinary people who want to here will be restricted. For example, popstars, rich Business persons, investors will be easy to welcome in here while the ordinary people will be highly checked and deported because they are poor or uneducated from third world nations.
I hope when I visit the UK, I get to meet the immigration officer at the last part of the video...lol!
How come the British consular issued her a visa without verifying her financial background?
I wish the person who submitted this wouldn't cut off the endings,
which tells the viewer the results of the raids and border crossings.
Are these real stories and real characters?
Yes. Filmed in Heathrow, and on location.
Brought her CV’s in her luggage lol she couldn’t leave them on her computer to print out later? Send her back, no funds no legal papers. Use the proper legal channels to gain entry smh. USA border force would be much tougher
An EU i.d. card without supporting documents let's you in....what could go wrong?
Giving a Brazilian a 6 mth tourist visa?
People are not so bright
Kay Lomas to President! Or, may be, a Princess! =)
I'm going to the UK to marry the red head agent. Unfortunately, she isn't going to let me in. :D
I love this show 👍 U go immigration
I like the fact that the border officers actually have compassion. They refuse entry and cancel the visa so the person can reapply with legitimate credentials next time without a 10 year ban. It sucks when you have to stop someone who is in dire straits to provide for their family but the chance of an undocumented person desperate to provide becoming prey for traffickers is too high to allow them entry.
20:36 he's totally giving her a middle finger salute
Wow.. i came here to watch this show cause i wanted to have some distraction
And then.. i found out a lot of brazilians lie and act as portuguese to go into us
As a brazilian i feel bad and ashamed of their actions but i kinda understand them cause life is not easy for a lot of people here.. so much corruption, people unemployed.. economic crysis they do anything to survive, get some money
Btw it is still shameful
I feel bad now lol

Why does leaning against the red strip set off an alarm?
Probably it’s a panic alarm if there’s an issue.
I hear ya! Hubby & I lived throughout Austrailasia for over
twelve years. We ALWAYS knew where our passports were.
We ALWAYS applied for new visas within 2 weeks of expiration,
as is stated on our original visas. We would NEVER dream of
not following the laws of ANY country.
And NEVER but NEVER give ANYONE your passport for any reason
whatsoever! It is stated on our American passports.
NO country owes ANYTHING to ANYONE. Each person's life is what
they, themselves make of it. No matter what country they live
in.

can do for YOUR COUNTRY!" Former US President John F Kennedy,

maybe the lorries need to be redesigned?
Do we really need half minute breaks in the middle of this vid? Have you tried a newfangled thing called "editing"?
These tapes were produced with the intention of being aired on television. The "brakes" are used to run commercials. Have you tried this thing called "skipping"?
Fast forward!
This account is not the official UK Border Force or the show, just someone using the name.
It isn't that hard to press a button and skip through them. Jesus. Why should someone have to go through editing just because you don't want to press a button?

36:57 Wow, that's so old!
You can't even have an identity card like that anymore, we have a "credit card" type of card now...
I guess some older people might have old ID cards that won't expire, which means those cards were probably stolen from a senior citizen... :(

I am French. It seems to me that as long as "they" are over here, you don't have a problem. Are there any human beings in the UK?
You don't seem to have any issues when the French police dump "them" over the border back in to Italy, aren't there any human beings in France ?
Fucking typical French frog. Shut up you little pisshead
They claim they are Portuguese. If so, they can legally work in the UK as members of the EU. That aged badly, haha.
It seems much easier to study abroad than to move and live abroad i wonder why
Study abroad -> UK welcomes because they bring money to them, come here and work -> UK closed door because you come here to compete local UK salary or work better than UK in same level!
Because a student is paying tuition and is being financially supported. A person that comes here to find a job is likely not skilled and will end up in a shithole HMO with other immigrants or will get benefits.
Wow, that redhead Kay needs to transfer over to the BVIs and move onboard my sailboat with this old UK expat US resident living on the water in the Caribbean. I swear I could watch her work all day. She's assertive, intelligent, honest and pulls no punches, but has a heart of gold. I'd have to stock up on SPF 9000 lol, cuz that fair skin would burn in a heartbeat down here.

If watching adults lie lie lie bothers you don’t watch this.
How come I'm not traveling all over the world?🌎
So, to gain permeant residency to the UK, you just need to apply to a fake college as a student or get a tourist visa & ' lose ' your pass port & get released out on the streets, never to be seen again, wow, that seems so much easier than doing it the legal way, top marks for whoever thought up that little gem law.
Can any one know where officer k lomas is now
If the immigration officer at the airport had reasonable suspicions on a foreign passenger who was showing an attitude in the meantime, just go ahead and deny the entry. Simple case.
It is really a stupid idea to get a B.Tech in IT and then go and work in your uncle's garment factory shifting packages. He could have stayed in India, there is plenty of job for IT B.Techs. But he said he was learning Microsoft Office and C programming after getting a B.Tech in IT, what??
