Yes Doyoung was REALLY REALLY excited to be there. He mentioned several times that he wanted to visit chicago, Johnny's home. Because for years Johnny was the one who came to Doyoung's house on holidays because he couldn't go home. They're that close. So this trip to Chicago was so long overdue for them

Doyoung is known as the 'mom' of the group, and the caring one.. the members always highlight that part of Doyoung and always thank him for taking care of them and being considerate to them. He also has the biggest heart because the members always teasing him, but he always accept their teasing and laugh about it. Johnny is really close with Doyoung's family, because the foreign members didn't get to go home that often so Doyoung took them to his house to celebrate holidays or just spending time with his family. Doyoung's older brother (which is also a well known actor in South Korea) said that he's closest with Johnny among nct members because they played bowling together sometimes with Doyoung and their parents. Doyoung also has been wishing for Johnny to take him out and drive him around when they're in Chicago so really glad that he is staying over at Johnny's house and Johnny get to do that for Doyoung.
You should see Mark's interaction with Nct Dream since he's the leader of Nct Dream. It's very different since he's the second youngest in 127 but the oldest in Dream.

Johnny is very friendly, especially towards fans. Also, Mark is Peter Parker/Spiderman. That's really the best way to describe him and his energy lol

There’s a reason why he’s taken a liking to Johnny and Mark (not to say he doesn’t like the other 127 members bc he’s made it clear he finds everyone quite cool), but the dreamies are definitely on another level. I would recommend against reacting to them (at least for now), as their content is very chaotic and not always a clear indicator into into characters/personalities as they’re often all over the place. I think Johnny and Mark and some of the other 127 members are a lot more relatable for Max as they’re a bit more mature and older. The dreamies though adults still be acting like they’re in kindergarten lmao.

He seems to be able to pick up on moods, and the dreamies often make up for all their teasing someway or another. I feel they’re super close, like 7 siblings (I mean they grew up together so) and that’s just how some sibling dynamics are. One moment you’re bickering over trivial details, and the next you’re cooking for eachother or showing something interesting. And also, you can tell how much they love Mark just by the way they look at him. So I’m not that worried about misunderstandings there.
I absolutely love Mark and I couldn't tell exactly why and you do a great job on naming everything that is positive about his energy. You were spot on his confidence. johnny is really the sweetest person. always smiling and try to make everyone around him comfortable. he trained for 9+ years and yet never gave up on his dream. he was meant to be an IDOL.
From what I understand, even the idols whose family live in Korea only get to visit with them a few times a year. I imagine that would add to them being nervous when they do get to see them.

I'm always feels happy whenever someone said Johnny looks like a normal, approachable guy even though he's been in the industry for quite a while. He always stay humble. In fact he actually reminds me to my friend I knew in US when I continued my study there and I actually met him for the first time after connecting through online after a while, literally the first place he brought me was Target and froyo place. What a coincidence XD I'm from Malaysia btw.

Especially if I get to go to one of the Super Targets because it has like... EVERYTHING!!!!! so, yeah, target is where a lot of people hang out and just have a good time. It's less chaotic than walmart, so it's way more enjoyable.

About 50% of all nct content is Mark various types of laughing🤣 But Mark is the most humble sweet gentle and kindest idol ever. He is a very friendly and warm person. He is very active and chaotic among members but he is really shy with others. He is actually an introvert! 😅 (Infj)

I always think of Mark as like the NCT sidekick, until he gets on stage. Then he owns the group. His performance presence is staggering. He is frequently the center of NCT 127 despite Taeyoung being the leader. But he definitely seems socially awkard. So much of it is because he left his family so young to become a performer, he didn't have a chance to grow up in a healthy normal environment. If he's not performing or practicing I feel like he's a little lost and loves to rely on Johnny to lead their duo dynamic.

Mark is Canadian too. He's actually been put in a position of both younger and eldest member, he's really loving, but I'm his own restricted way and with NCT Dream you could see how serious and chill he is. Johnny, yes, he's like a warm charming bear, but then he finds his way with his brutal honesty or roasts someone, but it's still in a bubbly way. Actually some of the guys have met Johnny's parents before, they like being at his house not only for the trip, but because they awfully much miss family activities and get overwhelmed with emotion, especially Johnny, it's his own family after all, the group is constantly super busy and doesn't travel that much to their birthplaces if we're talking about the foreigners. Doyoung is amazing, but the aquarius line likes having him being the butt of the joke oftenly, he's the child your mom would like and Taeyong's second mom

One of my favorite Johnny moments is from another day on this US tour... they surprised fans at a Random Play in Central Park that was organized by GoToe (as was the video). (A Random Play is where kpop fans gather somewhere in public and dance the choreography of randomly played kpop songs.) The fans were very respectful and gave them space, which made the guys feel comfortable enough to join in eventually, and unsurprisingly after a bit, Johnny was fully in the crowd. 😄 Personally, I think his height gives him a little more confidence in those type of situations. Like maybe he doesn't feel as in danger of being swallowed up by the crowd? 🤷♀️ Anyways, it's a great video to watch if you want to see them interacting directly with their fans.
I think it’s also that he’s American too. It’s the culture that he grew up in and because Chicago is similar to nyc it seems like he’s always comfortable there.

They get along so well and their sibling duo is so crazy , craziest part is mark and Johnny’s mom share the Sam birthday! August 2nd! Also most of johnnys Jcc’s have mark! Mark defiantly is johnnys favorite in terms of who’s he’s most comfortable with!

Mark is very relatable and you are right he is the center of attention as he had debuted 4 times in NCT U, NCT DREAM, NCT 127, and Super M. I recommend his solo song CHILD. Aswell to check out Johnny and Jaehyun radio show where they would radio host and interview different idols Aswell JCC.Their music is very experimental and unique

About 50% of all nct content is Mark various types of laughing🤣 But Mark is the most humble sweet gentle and kindest idol ever. He is a very friendly and warm person. He is very active and chaotic among members but he is really shy with others. He is actually an introvert! 😅 (Infj)

I always think of Mark as like the NCT sidekick, until he gets on stage. Then he owns the group. His performance presence is staggering. He is frequently the center of NCT 127 despite Taeyoung being the leader. But he definitely seems socially awkard. So much of it is because he left his family so young to become a performer, he didn't have a chance to grow up in a healthy normal environment. If he's not performing or practicing I feel like he's a little lost and loves to rely on Johnny to lead their duo dynamic.

Mark is Canadian too. He's actually been put in a position of both younger and eldest member, he's really loving, but I'm his own restricted way and with NCT Dream you could see how serious and chill he is.
Johnny, yes, he's like a warm charming bear, but then he finds his way with his brutal honesty or roasts someone, but it's still in a bubbly way. Actually some of the guys have met Johnny's parents before, they like being at his house not only for the trip, but because they awfully much miss family activities and get overwhelmed with emotion, especially Johnny, it's his own family after all, the group is constantly super busy and doesn't travel that much to their birthplaces if we're talking about the foreigners.
Doyoung is amazing, but the aquarius line likes having him being the butt of the joke oftenly, he's the child your mom would like and Taeyong's second mom

One of my favorite Johnny moments is from another day on this US tour... they surprised fans at a Random Play in Central Park that was organized by GoToe (as was the video). (A Random Play is where kpop fans gather somewhere in public and dance the choreography of randomly played kpop songs.) The fans were very respectful and gave them space, which made the guys feel comfortable enough to join in eventually, and unsurprisingly after a bit, Johnny was fully in the crowd. 😄
Personally, I think his height gives him a little more confidence in those type of situations. Like maybe he doesn't feel as in danger of being swallowed up by the crowd? 🤷♀️
Anyways, it's a great video to watch if you want to see them interacting directly with their fans.
I think it’s also that he’s American too. It’s the culture that he grew up in and because Chicago is similar to nyc it seems like he’s always comfortable there.

They get along so well and their sibling duo is so crazy , craziest part is mark and Johnny’s mom share the Sam birthday! August 2nd! Also most of johnnys Jcc’s have mark!
