Yes you should, since he is on the quieter side people don’t pay him much attention but he has always intrigued me since the time when in one of their contents he revealed his reason for smiling a lot (which you have noticed) which was in his words that the other people around him had told him that he looks scary without smiling and from then on he has made a conscious effort to smile a lot.
Chan was very intense pre-debut. He was a trainee for 7 years and watched many of his friends go on to debut without him while he felt kind of stuck. He was eventually given the opportunity to choose his own members that he would finally debut with, and he took that really seriously. He needed to make sure everyone worked hard so they could all debut together.
For sure. Having watched the reality show, I saw more of that side of him. He seemed a lot more stern and pretty critical of the members. But he also arguably took it the hardest when some got eliminated. Like you could see how much he cared about them but held back to try and be a strong leader. Now that the team has developed a lot more, and gained so much success, he's able to let up.

yes i agree i saw it mostly in the reality show! while watching i also thought for the other members it could be intimidating at first impressions because he had been there for so long and because he was older with a lot of talents

seungmin actually takes care of bang chan even tho he's in the maknae line
and you see how much he tries to make it easy for chan and how he takes some of responsibilities with speeches and stuff like that
seungmin often mentions how much he wants to help chan with other maknaes and promises that they going to take some weight of Chan's shoulders
also in many skz codes seungmin gives chan snacks
and it's noticeable how chan lets him take care of him and how chan relies on seungmin

I think Chan seems to relies more on Seungmin specially when it comes to responsibilities for example during their trips abroad when they came back without Chan, he seems to be incharge of the members., i feel like it has to do with being the strongest mentally next to him and Minho well they're the brainline in SKZ.. Also, notice how He was/is the one who always gave speeches next to Chan, next to show/does in vlives when there are some issues regarding them.. And all of them agreed that Seugmin seems to well keep secrets..
Chan also said that Seungmin is fast in organizing his thoughts under pressure the reason why He's almost always giving speeches next to Him..

Agree! Not sure if it helps, but I actually know many people with sleeping problems. It's nowadays almost 50% of the people in my surrounding (urban area), so it's not really sth only limited to him. Idk seems like humans are made to have such phases, since we can go sleepless for many hours.
@@NoctLightCloud i have sleeping problems too but i believe in kpop it’s because they have to work so hard and get so stressed about everything. The industry is really just exploiting young people, teenagers and kids and i hate the industry for it. It’s not just about chan but every idol goes through a lot and they deserve better

yay more stray kids!!!! one kids room is truly a gem of a series, i’m so glad you decided to check it out :)) i really appreciate all the little things you noticed about the boys, like their banter as well as the deeper ways that they talk about each other.
definitely recommend I.N’s one kids room, just because you haven’t seen much from him yet, but also all the rest of the episodes(seungmin, han, hyunjin) because they honestly all provide new insight into each member.
in terms of other content, it’d be interesting to see you react to something more variety/entertainment based, like their skz-code series! but they also have two kids room and two kids room+1, which are both very similar to one kids room if you want to check those out. han and hyunjin’s two kids room episode is particularly interesting because they talk about some history they have of not getting along w/ each other pre-debut!

Felix did not speak much in these videos, maybe his level of korean may not have helped him much, however I think his aura is like this: calm.
Maybe these videos are a bit old, they may have changed a lot or a little, it's good to hear you analyze them.

I still remember the few times I.N. got emotional and talked (on camera) about his struggles and worries.
Both happened when they were still in the survival show before debut.
He would say he smiled so often because people told him he looked scary if he didn't. (I think he overcame that, luckily) and that he didn't like to worry the other members, so he always tried to keep his happy facade up. :(
Knowing Stray Kids' bond, tho, I believe they do talk a lot among themselves about their worries, and that they help I.N. to the best of their abilities. However I can totally understand and respect it if they don't want to communicate all that on camera.
You know I'm looking forward to your reaction on Han's one kid's room since you almost always started your video by commenting Han. Haha. I really wanna see your reaction once you know Han's personality is not as what you've seen so far. The personality you're seeing now is still him but yeah, there's more to Han. I've always waited for your reaction so thank you for this video :)
Everytime he comments on Han I want to see his reaction to finding out that he actually has social anxiety and is really uncomfortable without his members. Changbin and Han's relationship is really interesting. Also the way Chan will always protect his first stray kid 😭
Felix and Chan are just so lovable. like. you can’t not find them endearing.
a bit more context regarding cute charms aka “aegyo”: it’s basically what it sounds like(acting cute and affectionate) and it’s a really big thing in korean culture with friends/family/partners, and very common amongst korean celebrities! the members always say felix is full of aegyo because he’s indeed a very affectionate person by nature, and loves physical contact.
I recently watched a video by another RUclips content creator named Go! Billy Korean (or something to this effect) and he was enchanted watching Bang Chan eat a donut. He gave very interesting perspective on Bang Chan and Felix‘s learned Korean language skills through a narrative of learning Korean as a non native speaker. He also spoke about tone and emotional cues Felix uses and seeing them change over time in a similar way to your example of Felix speaking in a low tone and at his own pace.

I really wanted to add to Felix and his role- especially the more time goes on and more content comes out they refer/agree felix is their sunshine/warmth just overall everyone that knows about felix associates words like sunshine, angel, happy pill, safe, sweet, positive. And like you point out felix is very genuine and korean speakers point out he'll often choose the deeper/more touching and genuine way of phrasing things in korean language...so even his way of speaking translates to his character

I teared up, Chan is too selfless despite struggling for years as a trainee... Even when he becomes scary, it's for them. I have been into K-pop for 14 years and chan as a leader with the kids hit different... He plays a huge part in their bond. His protectiveness and sense of responsibility are no joke. He really feels like their father not just a leader. They all rely and look up to him, I hope he would chill sometimes, he is really too young😢 He can be too harsh on himself most of the times !
Definitely react the the rest of them, i.n is really interesting, he seems to basically smile through the pain if that makes sense. Even when being scolded he will have this sort of fake smile on his face. He seems to be the type of person to hide his deepest feelings.

Chan really cares about everyone in the group so much he always supports their solo work and gives them complements on his lives . you're right he's confident but at the same time sometimes shy and not as confident and he always shares that with us . and the more you watch Felix in recent years he becomes more confident in speaking korean . he's really a lovely and cute person by nature that everyone wants to protect him once they know him

He's one of the daddiest daddy in the industry.
He has this weekly radio-kind-of broadcast on Vlive app where he listens to music and interacts with his fans. I see it as a way he does more than just fan service, but also fans management. He talks about small things in the weekly broadcast and actively set an example of how to express oneself in a healthy way. So not only is he leading Stray Kids, he's leading Stay (the fandom) too.
I could not see him not as a father figure for everyone in Stray Kids. He would stand at the back and gives them the loving stare and encourage his boys to be best. He would crack dry dad jokes. And at the rare times when he's on the serious mode, yep you could see his 'scary' side.
When i first saw bang chan i also saw a really cute guy and couldn't picture him being scary BUT after i watch their survival show from 2017 i can definitely see him being scary but that's only because he wanted them to take something seriously cause the other members are so young back then and of course they tend to be a little more playful and not quite take something seriously so in those situation he does look scary but that's because he cares about them and want them to succeed

for jeongin (I.N) he can definitely get deeper but I think he's aware of how his happy "im the cute youngest" positively influences not only the fans but the rest of the members...they've mentioned how just seeing him and being around him makes them more likely to be in a good mood and playful or more focused on babying him than nervous for a performance. He gets the most deep when he's solo either in vlogs or vlives but he definitely consciously hides his vulnerability more than most of them.
I do think sometimes I.N tries to keep up the happy mood so as to not worry his members, I don’t think he’s really trying to hide his vulnerability. I think he’s just not as open about his feelings like some of the others are. Like Hyunjin (maybe one of the most sensitive members who is very emotionally open) would share on his vlogs his feelings, insecurities, reflections on his feelings. Cause talking about that is a productive thing for him. It’s a practice in reflection and I think it’s sort of therapeutic for him. But I think I.N is a little more reserved with his feelings and maybe prefers to self reflect privately or one-on-one with another member. I think he does a lot of self regulating on his own but when they’re busy and he’s stressed it just overflows and thankfully the members are there for him when that happens.

Chan started training at 12. He left home in Australia for the training in Korea. So people who he was around were basically older and for 7 years he tried over and over to prove he was good enough to debut and never made it. He had many friends who debuted in groups way before him.
Chan, you can see in some early videos, was intense as heck. The responsibility that was put on him by the company was immense and he wanted to debut with these boys and that meant everyone had to be perfect and it was his job to make sure everyone was perfect. It's not an easy place to be in but they came out of it with a lot of respect for him.
Chan is a very emotionally intelligent, observant person, but sadly he isn’t as confident as you’d think. On stage, he exudes confidence, but off stage he gets insecure very often. In a recent vlive (that I watched live) he insisted that he did not belong on the Top 100 Most Handsome Faces of 2021 list. And not in a humble way, either. It was very self-deprecating and upsetting to watch. He cares so much about his members and STAY and has so much responsibility on his shoulders. I just wish he’d take better care of himself and sleep more. He deserves it.
This! I feel like a lot of people think he's being humble, and in other situations he may be (when it comes to skz as a group maybe) but he's so hard on himself, when he says things like that it really breaks my heart. I really wish someday he could see himself as the precious and talented person we see everyday, he deserves all the love in the world ❤️

Chan is incredibly reliable and super responsible, which kind of automatically sets him up for carrying a lot of pressure. He does live streams for us every week, regularly, just listening to music, listening to our concerns or just chitchatting! Even to us, people he does not know, he always tries to be of help and wants us to be able to lean on him in tough times. I can’t begin to imagine how great of a friend he must be and I’m glad the kids have him and support him just as much :) he’s extremely compassionate and loving and just genuine. Probably the „celebrity“ I feel most connected to on a personal level. He doesn’t make us feel like there’s this gap between him and us. It’s like he’s our friend, he supports us, we support him. And it’s honestly such a privilege to me to be able to see him every week and knowing he cares and knowing the kids are safe with him and he’s got their backs. Makes me feels very relieved and protected:)
one kids room really helped me get into skz and their personalities so im happy that youre reviewing these rather than just promotional interviews

also jeongin definitely has a side to him you havent seen yet! He keeps a lot to himself but hes actually a very deep, sensitive, thoughtful, and selfless kid. On their survival show he said he smiles all the time b/c his resting face has been called scary before, but also because he doesn't want to ever worry his hyungs so he smiles so they think hes ok (absolutely broke my heart the first time i heard that). I also think hes generally kind of a happy person though, hes always smiling so big during performances even when the theme is serious and everyone else's faces are "angry" lmao. I think jeongin is really perceptive to the people around him and always plays off the mood in the room. He hates skinship but he plays along with skz's constant teasing and babying because he knows they love him as their youngest.
I think you'd really enjoy watching their song camp or 2kids song. You see a lot of them being vulnerable together as well as their work dynamic. Really fun format!

Watching your videos always makes me feel like I’m also learning something’s about my self or things to use in my life.
I’m neurodivergent, so since I was a child I always made a big effort to learn and be attentive of this kind of things on my self and other people so I could comunicate and understand better my realitionships and interactions with others, so watching your videos feels like a safe place cause that’s how my head has always worked, but I also learn new things!!! Cute charms is a massive thing in Asian/korean culture and there's technically no literal translation for it in english. Everyone kind of naturally does it to each other especially with friends or with Ur parents or Ur parents do it to you. it's mostly part of ppl's personality either it's supposed to be seen as really cute or it's seen as part of their sense of humour. So it's not supposed to give off the impression of acting fake (ofc some ppl do it to fake their personality) but it's yea when ppl talk about it they mean it as their personality.
Bang Chan started as a trainee at 14, got responsebility of raising 8 (they were originally 9) people into kpop idols and carried all of their carriers on his shoulders. He was mentally and emotionally traumatized during his trainee years, while he was living in Korea without his family present from such a young age. For 7 years he was told he wasn’t good enough to debut, but kept around.
Thinking of what he has been theough he a remarkabe strong person.
I love the way you talked about Changbin! He really is impressive and continues to blow me away the more honest and vulnerable he gets. when i first became a STAY i didn’t really expect him to be an emotional guy, but man now i just think he’s amazing. so smart and in tune with himself.
In your free time you should check out Changbin’s song “streetlight”! It made me totally fall in love with his character. i’m sure it’s a lot more emotional for korean speakers, but even the english translations give me chills (maybe i’m just sensitive lol)

Because he was being a trainee for a long time the company(jyp) gave him a special chance to choose his own members and train them .For his young age he did an amazing job and there is nothing he can't do.
Actually fans call him as a father of 7 kids .That's how he cares for his members .

So i.n. smiles so much that because it's a habit, when he was younger he was told his resting face was intimidating/scary so he smiled a lot and then it became a habit. He does tend to keep things bottle up and to himself though

In the Stray Kids Survival show I could feel the kinda strict personality of Chan but I could feel it's kinda fatherly type of feeling like your father want and wish you to be good for your own good so you can be confident of yourself... But at the same time he doesn't have too much self confidence himself... We gotta shower him with compliments... When we all know he's Berry...one of the BEST LEADER ever ❤️

Hi, really loved the video!! Good job. I like your sense of humor and how you can really get people and express it wonderfully. Btw I kinda feel like I have to explain a point that may be confusing meeting Bang Chan now. Yes, to the others, especially back in 2017 he looked a bit like a scary older brother because he was in a dark place back then. All the people he grew close to had already debuted and he was left lonely in the company as a trainee. He isolated himself and basically lost his glowing and sunny personality. He always dressed all black and I admit that he could have a scary stare😂. But then he met Stray Kids along the way and found himself again and started to let himself get attached to people again. Hope it was a clear explanation, can't wait to see the other reactions. Thank you for taking your time doing this❤️

I really recommend 2 Kids Room -esp if you are interested to see them open up to each other more and get deep. In some episodes they just goof around and have fun but in most of them they really get deep and talk to each other about their emotions and their relationship. Its a great way to better understand their personalities as well. I’d love to see your reactions to any of those episodes!!

Hello, I think it would be interesting for you to watch a more recent video (if you want to), you would see how the members grew emotionally, especially Felix, he is still very calm and has a calming aura but he is also much more confortable (in korean and in himself), for example

Chan is the oldest sibling in his family, and I think a good sense of responsibility comes from there. Since he had gone for training in Korea, and was the youngest there, I think because of the experience of being in both the position of being the oldest and youngest makes him such a good leader.
He knows what to do as a leader but also understand what the younger members feel.
A significant part of why Felix is speaking noticeably slowly/deliberately in this because he wasn't as far along his Korean fluency path as he is now.
I also like the little remark Hyunjin made at the beginning (wondering if BangChan was listening). Hyunjin doesn't always speak. Thank you for doing these reactions.
I defenetly agree with commentator above about wanting Max to react to Two Kids room espesially Han and Huynjin and I also love Changbin and Hyunjin and Changbin and Han
It wasn't intentional to choose theese three 😂 It's just that their are the one's that has a lot of deeper talking about older days when they were still trainees and it was so interesting for me
I love all of two kids room but some of them are just them hanging out together talking about nothing(wich is still fun to me) and some are very deep and interesting stories

I think a good way to describe Chan is confident in leading his team while having barely any confidence in himself. He always says that they make him a great leader, that he doesn't have it hard at all and is very self-deprecating. He is extremely humble but it's very obvious that he truly doesn't believe that he has anything special. It was around this time that he was also getting a ton of hate (and he still gets death threats even now) which must have affected him! He took a personality test on Vlive in 2020 and one of the questions was "do you love yourself" with multiple choice answers...He chose 'No'.
We STAY have been trying to get his confidence up but to this day we still haven't heard him say a positive thing about himself :( If you were to ask the fandom what one of our greatest wishes is, most would probably say for Chan to treat himself with the love and respect he treats everyone else! I've actually seen a comment saying "If Chan would only treat himself the way he treats his neighbor, he would be perfect". We all look forward to the day when he starts to give himself a little kindness and credit for everything he's done!
