I know this is an old comment but she took that card out of her deck because now she focus on having 1 to 0 cards in the soul for her witches abilities the card you are talking about needs 6 cards in the soul to activate.
Rewatching this, I notice the plot armor and misplay, If team Lou didn’t defend that first attack from the rear guard, they would only be at 8 and they would have a chance at checking a trigger. Even with no trigger, with the damage that was sacrificed to save extra guard, they would have lived.

@@criticcreature2121 Yes they are, and in Yu-Gi-Oh!, raptor-inspired Dinosaur-Types are amazing. My first good raptor card was Black Veloci, then the Jurracs Velo, Deino, and Velphito (Jurrac Velphito is even the symbol of my deck), then the Dinowrestler archetype came out with all its combos, especially when summoning Capoeiraptor as an opening play, and finally three Beatraptors pulled from the Dark Neostorm expansion packs.

@@GreenDinoRanger I was considering Death Rex, but I ultimately decided upon Spinodriver to go along my Grade 2 Circular Spino and my other Grade 3 is Gaia Desperado, which I can search using my Grade 1 Prism Birds (I like Prism Bird since it resembles Archaeopteryx or Microraptor) and eventually bring out Gaia Devastate. My deck is mostly built around the Raptor series and bringing out my favorite Grade 3, Raptor Colonel.

Even with the latest and strongest stuff that's out now it's easy, you guard for your teammate except nullifys and intercepts
You also can't also use intercepts to help your partner guard
its his first time my dude, it makes sense to us as the viewer, but he's experiencing it so nerves are also making his brain mush
