I still play vanguard and i love the game there's a diversity of cards to choose from not to mention the unique abilities the game is quite complex so it might be hard to understand at first.
I’m rewatching after all these years and I still don’t understand how Psyqualia became something dreaded in the first season into something necessary to use. It’s like the writers never knew about it.
The way I think about it, in the first era of Psyqualia users, the power corrupted them essentially because of them embodying the Paladins vying for power, trying to impose their vision onto the United Sanctuary. The second era of Psyqualia represents clans uniting against the first signs of Link Joker onto Cray, which is why it isn't *inherently* bad anymore. If you notice tho, most Psyqualia users are still fucking assholes
It was never that it was dreaded, it was the characters getting drunk on and relying on the power that was the reason why Psyqualia was viewed as a bad thing.
If you check the Wiki, it's actually said that everyone involved lost any memory regarding Psyqualia. So Ren, Aichi, Kai, and pretty much everyone who has seen the effects of Psyqualia forgot about all the darkness and damage it did in season one, which is why everyone is more comfortable with the concept of it now.
Psyqualia is to cardfighters what catnip is to cats. Proper usage of Psyqualia actually doesn’t hurt. Season 1 Ren was spamming it. And so was aichi for around 10 episodes.
This fight should of been Aichi with Misaki. They needed Misaki’s draw power for guards. Both Aichi and Kamui’s decks push out power by putting cards on the board, so they are both low on hand guards Also, if Aichi knew about how diamantes works he would of intercepted with vivienne. Knowledge is game changing. They knew about the possibility of pellinore coming out
To be fair, this anime isn’t intended to be showing perfect battles, just ones without any obvious mistakes that the average casual player will recognize. And, lore wise, they really aren’t supposed to know much about aqua force.
Am I the oy one thinks corrin had to have shrunk between Asia circuit and link joker? I mean I know they gave aichi a growth spurt but still she's like a foot and a half taller than him
They know when triggers are going to come and they see and hear how to play their units to reach the predicted/foreseen outcome. But as a lot of people including Kai said. Psyqualia isn’t a guarantee win. And what you have to do is overwhelm your opponent. If the opponent uses Psyqualia, and you have that ability, it’s understandable to use it. But just manage to control it.
Why are all the winners coming back for Japan stage? It’s like Q4 was the only team to play in all the stages even though Q4 was actually required to play all the stages
I think I lefted a comment a good one, anyways I did subscribed, I wish that tv shows of these series and the newer ones and the movie were known in the US more and in English and that includes the cards, I would so buy it if I have money.
Been watching the Asia circuit for a while know..why won't aichi's enemy won't let Vivian's attack go through...Aichi has been trying but she keeps getting blocked...is she that broken for the enemies not to let her go through?
Nimue and Vivian both have the same On Hit skill that, when they hit a Vanguard while Boosted (meaning the opponent does have to take damage), you pay Counter Blast 1 to call the top card of your deck to an open Rear Guard circle as long as it is a Gold Paladin. Aichi runs an exclusively Gold Paladin deck during the Asia Circuit, and on top of that, it means he can afford to then save cards in his hand for Guarding, while potentially getting a full board with ease early on (maybe even to 3 full power boosted attacks). Tldr- the skill isn’t BROKEN, but it’s definitely scary depending on what card is on top of the deck. For example, “White Hare in the Moon’s Shadow, Pellinore”. If the opponent is Grade 2 or higher when Vivian or Nimue hit, and you superior call Pellinore from the deck, that turns into a Superior Ride STANDING! So imagine having 4 Rear Guard circles filled (both in the front row and 2 in back), with Vivian or Nimue in the front row with a Boost. The opponent is Grade 2. You attack with the Unboosted Rearguard, then the Vanguard. The Nimue/Vivian comes third, after you did a Drive Check already, and they hit. Top card of the deck is Grade 3 Pellinore. You ride Pellinore as a result, AND GET A SECOND VANGUARD ATTAXK WITH TWIN DRIVE.
In Aichi’s defense, he has been through some BS fights. In my mind, Aichi beat Christopher Lo, he beat Ren Suzugamori as well as Leon Soryu here. Aichi got defeated because his opponents all used Psyqualia to their full potential while he didn’t.
First two cause aichi too afraid to use psqualia. Last one for plot/ main villian reasons. Now if they wanna win they would need kamui, kai and ren. Kamui mvp this tourney
Aichi would've won wirh psyqualia like in s1 when he was overpowered with psyqualia. But in S2 he didnt use it that well cuz even after his memories were altered, he was afraid of being consumed by dark side of psyqualia like in s1. That's why he couldn't win as stated by suiko he has to fully release his psyqualia powers if he want to win but he didnt at the time
Like this comment for Team Q4!!!

@The one and only Plus the cards they did see were from a shitty trial deck so that wasn’t enough to prepare them for all this insanity
The 3rd time that Aichi lost a finals to people with psyqualia, at least the 3rd time, his lost isn't because of Takuto.
Lesson here is, when Women like Kourin is mad, she’s really actually happy...🙃

I really can't stand powers like psyquilia. Like Kai said in the first season, it's an unfair advantage that you would abuse.
They know when triggers are going to come and they see and hear how to play their units to reach the predicted/foreseen outcome.

I must say Q4 has lots of gut.....entering every tournament to get stronger and answers is a must to do in my list now.
