Asaka is like Juvia Lockser from Fairy Tail (they even have blue hair) they are strong fighters but their entire development depends on their crush (Ren and Gray).
Asaka wanting to control ren kind of becomes darker in hindsight when you realize it’s implied ren has the backstory his manga counterpart had. And his win at all costs ideaology came from his abusive dad who tried to control him at every step.
I just superior called two of them on the same turn today. Most fun I've had in Vanguard till now. (Since I got to defeat my opponent that turn as well.)
