We are living in Spanish football era. I don't know how long it will last but this is definetely Spanish football domination. I don't think any nation dominated world football like this before. Just look at woman's football and how many Spanish coaches are thriving right now. They have the winning mentality as of now.

Since Messi and Ronaldo left I think the overall standard of La Liga has increased. Most other teams are actually closer to Real Madrid and Barcelona now. When CR7 and LM10 were playing there was a major gulf between the top 2 and the rest besides Athletico Madrid a few times. I think a similar thing will happen in the EPL when Pep leaves city. EPL is just Man Cities for the taking every season until Pep goes.
Premier with 48 european titles should be compared with Serie A with 50... but never with La Liga which, with 66 titles, is far away from those other two leagues. La Liga is the best by quite a distance. Its too obvious for anyone who knows about football and do not allow marketing to dictate their opinions. And I just spoke about titles, if we talk about history and players the difference is even greater. If you take the historic best 11 from La Liga, not a single player from the premier would be there. If you take the same from La Premier, nobody would be good enough to play in the 11 from La Lliga.
But hey, marketing works really well. When I hear someone saying that the Premier is the best, I know that person has no clue about football.
