my biggest wish for this show is to see fisher brothers on good terms 🤧
Lola and Gavin are CARRYING with their acting - they're both so good and so on point. For me, I felt everything Jeremiah said - for more than a year now, he's been taking care of their dying mother, giving up the girl he also loves and watching her with his brother, then after their mom died, his older brother stopped picking up the phone and disappeared, and Jeremiah had to look for him, then he finds him and figures out he's AGAIN keeping important things a secret from him. Basically, for a better part of a year, Conrad has been messing up in his behavior towards Jeremiah - keeping the cancer secret, then coming home only to beg for his blessing, then disappearing and worrying him, and again keeping something important a secret. After all, that, to hear Conrad tell him "to grow up" when clearly he's the one who's been acting like a grown-up just made him boil over with anger, and he finally said what he truly thinks. And it's all true - maybe the delivery was harsh, but it was the truth, and someone finally had to tell Conrad.
Like they’re acting is the best on the show by far regardless of shipping and you can’t change my mind.
i think jeremiah was harsh, for sure, but i also don't think anything he said was /wrong/. i FELT jeremiah's anger boil over the second conrad told him to grow up because it's as though he hasn't /seen/ his brother at all this past year especially. does that mean he should have said it the way he did? nope. but i think conrad continuously undercutting jeremiah and being dismissive of his feelings and belittling him was slowly building up for a long while now and this episode was his breaking point.
i do hope jere apologizes (and i'd bet money that he will, jeremiah is probably one of the characters most in tune with his emotions, honestly) but i also hope conrad realizes where that frustration and anger was coming from and doesn't invalidate them. empathy makes the world go 'round, y'all.
the acting in this episode broke me tho…🥲
especially during this fight scene and the last one with belly… i hope we’ll get at least a little bit of closure at the end of the season!

someone said something really interesting on twitter about jeremiah. the way jeremiah looked up to Conrad went beyond the simple "he's my older brother" thing, especially since Conrad is only 1 year older than him. But since their dad (i hate this man so bad) never really payed attention to Jeremiah, he ended up tooking Conrad as a father figure. Bc the way he talked seemed more like someone realizing that their parents aren't perfect rather than being mad at your BARELY older brother. Like Jeremiah need to take a moment and realize that the source of his pain is mostly Adam. Because being this "emotionally reliant" (i don't know if you see what I mean) on someone who's not only going through the same thing but is again, only one year older than you, is not healthy. He spent his time putting Conrad on some pedestal when the poor man is just an 19 year old trying to navigate his feelings.
Like kind of blaming Conrad for not seeing him grow up or for not being there everyday, where the hell was his ACTUAL father, the man who is supposed to see his kids grow up, and supporting them. Conrad and Jeremiah both had do deal with things they had no business dealing with as 17-18 year old (the bills, taking care of their mother daily etc...) but the problem is that Jeremiah refuses to see that it's not Conrad who failed him, it's their good for nothing father

So being team Jere im extremely happy that they finally played a Taylor song for them, but in my opinion they use Taylor songs for the way Belly is currently feeling and right now she's currently feeling Jeremiah over Conrad which she reiterated to Jeremiah with the conversation they had in front of the garage. I personally think during this episode Belly was trying to get closer on her relationship with Conrad to move on with Jeremiah because over this season they have been growing closer and closer together. Everytime she's talked to Taylor about Jeremiah she's had the smirk/smile like she lights up when talking about him. Once again fantastic reaction and i enjoy jow even though you are Team Conrad you actually can see both sides

Being a team Jeremiah fan I truly just want to see one kiss between those two because I feel like it would be different than last season. If they kiss this season it's actually because she's choosing Jeremiah this time and not just kissing him because she doesn't think Conrad likes her.

I think everyone said stuff they didn’t mean, out of frustration. And yeah what Jere said isn’t right but he hated the situation and Conrad calling the shots I think tension was risen and everyone said the wrong thing.

To be fair, Conrad totally disregarded his brother’s feelings and in the hard times he was going through he asked him if he could go be with Belly all for him to let Belly slip through his fingers and not even fight for her, I would be pissed too. He gave Conrad his blessing for the girl he really cared for and Conrad wasn’t careful with her at all so idk, I definitely wouldn’t have said all that the way Jere did but I can see how he thinks it’s not fair Conrad gets to choose to do whatever he wants with no regard for others

I am technically team therapy lol but I understand where Jere is coming from, especially as a younger sibling. He not only looked up to his older brother, but Conrad consistently belittles him saying that he's not serious and such. And as a youngest sibling there is a different type of pain that comes with never being acknowledged. Conrad's pain is valid as well, but so is Jere's. Both of them never talk about their feelings and at that moment, Jere's emotions reached a boiling point. The things he said were mostly true but they were coming from a place of anger and resentment from bottling things in for so long. He definitely should have said them in a better way and definitely should have expressed his feelings and emotions about his relationship with his brother a lot earlier than this. He's definitely not excused in how he said things and definitely not in bringing Belly into it, but I understand where he is coming from. Conrad wasn't there to see him be forced to grow up this past year and as someone who has had a close family member pass this year, there is a difference in being there every day and slowly watching someone succumb to their illness and visiting when you can. The comment from Conrad "Do you want a Cookie?" after Jere said he was with their mom every day in response to Conrad thinking he's the same old Jere was belittling and condescending. I couldn't even imagine saying that to my mom who was with my grandma every single day she was sick before she passed. I visited when i could but she had to go through all of it with her. There was so much i didn't see. Now imagine doing that at 17/18 years old and then your brother who you looked up to still doesn't acknowledge you. They are both hurting and both grieving in completely different ways. They also have completely different childhood wounds. I feel like it's easier sometimes to empathize with Conrad because we see his pain more easily. Jere is more the type to hide his pain until it boils over. Both of them need therapy and to communicate their feelings because this def goes deeper than Belly. Hope that helps lol.... I'm team lets get therapy and then maybe think about relationships because yooooo. Also Jere & Conrad need double sessions. They need individual therapy sessions coupled with family therapy. Thankyou for coming to my Ted Talk. Love those boys hehe

the only thing that really hurts me, is that in ep 7, jere says nothing when conrad says sorry, i really had my hopes for jere to respond with something too…🥲
I wanted to say something that not a lot of people realize they do, but they do it, as we know, both Jeremiah AND Conrad are going through things, okay, great. Are they 100% not wrong for feeling how they feel? No! In my opinion, Jeremiah taking his anger out on Conrad was completely right! Even if it was “harsh” or way out of line, because if Conrad did it, y’all most likely WOULD agree. He had EVERY reason too, Conrad lied to belly about Jeremiah being fine, going on dates + etc, while he was actually paying for his moms med bills, taking care of her+ etc.. Is Conrad always the bad guy? No. But he sure does seem to get wayyy more justification for his actions then needed. Let’s also talk about belly, belly genuinely deserves NONE of these boys, and what threw me off was in the last ep, when she was trying to kiss Jeremiah, IN FRONT OF CONRAD? I was team Jeremiah, but I realized she doesn’t deserve him at all, even in the books, after Jeremiah quote on quote “cheated” on belly Conrad still wasn’t a really likable and suitable character for belly?… I never understood it. To be completely honest, this whole show is a shit show..
At the end of the day, my team Jeremiah heart would be rooting for them, but my mind knows it’s somehow gonna be Conrad, sadly.

@@Daniela-fe7xrbut Conrad also has to see belly and jere, and will have to and that is worse cause they were actually dating, I don't know I don't think it was right he only wanted to hurt Conrad and to make him feel bad which I don't think is right, bringing the relationship between Conrad and belly was so toxic and bad, like he didn't even know how they broke up (cause neither of them told him) + he knew belly and Conrad liked each other ( 1 season, 4th of July) he threw a firework at them so they wouldn't kiss, that's sooo toxic. (But is okay that we have different opinions, cause am team Conrad so probably if he does something bad I will forgive him easier, but if jere does something bad I won't forgive him that easily, (and it might be the same for you 😊😊)

There’s just a lot of resentment between Conrad and Jeremiah. Both ways. I think the way Conrad communicates (or doesn’t communicate) is hard for the people around him. Especially those close to him. It is hard to watch a parent deteriorate. Conrad was in school I get it, but it seems he chose to distract himself from the pain by getting into a relationship. Maybe because he couldn’t face what was going on in his life. I mean he’s having panic attacks for goodness sake. That’s all the crap he has bottled up inside. The truth is he has a lot healing to do before he can get into a relationship with Belly or anyone for that matter. And Belly also needs to be single. She’s very confused and keeps making really poor choices. She does need her mother. I can tell you if I were hers I would’ve had her cut the crap a long time ago.

I think Jeremiah was quite justified in saying what he did to Conrad. It was clear that this fight has been building for some time and needed to happen. I don’t like that they’re fighting, but I’m glad Jere finally stood up for himself and tbh he wasn’t wrong in what he said. Should he have brought Belly into the fight? No, but she did deserve to know Conrad lied to her. I honestly think Jere had just had enough of Conrad’s attitude and snapped. Telling Jere to grow up and asking him if he wanted a medal for taking care of their mother, really pissed me off. Jere wasn’t asking for Conrad to drop out of college. All he wanted was for him to acknowledge what he went through taking care of their mother by himself and that he is hurting too. Conrad really hasn’t been there for Jere in the way he’s needed him, and he deserved to hear that. It broke my heart when Jere said that people would tell him that Conrad is better and he would believe them. I’m glad he’s finally realized that Conrad isn’t better than him. I like both brothers, but Conrad does seem to get a pass for almost every mistake he makes, unlike Jeremiah. Jere has grown up a lot and gained way more confidence this season, and I like to see it.

Okay I am totally team Jeremiah I am an adult woman but I love this show and I'm sorry but Jeremiah is cuter and he loves her more. Now what he said to his brother Conrad, Conrad deserved! I have someone who has taken care of their dying mother, my sister died five months before my mother did and I was still pissed at my sister because I had to take care of her mother while she was dying I was there every day watching her walk away and yeah I'm sorry but he had every right to say what he said to Conrad when you're the one that's watching the parents deteriorates the mom that took care of you that raised you and you have to become her caretaker the exhaustion at that creates the emotional trauma that that creates he had every right to be like you know what dude you took the girl I loved you threw her away and then you left all the responsibility on Mom on me. It's completely normal for Jeremiah to feel that way, and it's not that Jeremiah wants a metal but Conrad knows Jeremiah thank you for being a 17 year old senior in high school and being the only adult because I'm sorry but Conrad is a coward. Every time something gets hard he runs😢
A lot of you younger kids that are fans of the book in the show and everything you haven't had to sit there and hold your mother's hand while she died of cancer staying up all night being afraid that every breath she takes it the last breath. What Jeremiah said to Conrad, he needed to hear because he owes Jeremiah a thank-you not another you know okay I want badly I want this I want to do whatever I want and you can suffer and you can be in pain because waa waa I'm too sensitive to deal. Conrad is a selfish spoiled brat and a coward and Jeremiah's right

I don't know about book Jeremiah and Conrad vs the show (I hadn't read the books in forever) but tv Conrad, I'm sorry bothers me too much; the lover triangle also seems like the outdate YA formula from the 2000s. I like that the show is switching it up and giving both Jeremiah and Conrad's POV...I know people are all about teams, but let's be honest up until this point Jeremiah has stepped aside and broken his own heart because his brother loved Belly...so for him to see him disappoint her makes it easy to see how he comes at Conrad. I don't think he's using Belly as an excuse but he's making a point. Jeremiah loves Belly, he doesn't understand why he would pull the same crap he does with everyone on the one person who has his back..and Conrad is total denial. Personally, I think they made book Jeremiah more of a bad guy towards the end not to evolve the character but to manuever the reader in favor of Conrad because it's easier. It's easier to reach a conclusion of a love trianlge if one is shown to be worst than the other. Here on the show they really go to great lengths to show it isn't clear cut and easy. Conrad isn't impervious to getting his @ss handed to him for how he continually dodges and ditches when things go bad. He needs to work on that. I'm glad Jeremiah got his frustrations out. Conrad on the tv show seems to do things only on his terms and alone...he may love Belly but he's not worthy of her yet...not with how he reacts...his self-sabotages way too much and everyone is emotional collatoral damage.
i think i’m very much projecting book jere on show jere, ‘cause as in the books, i didn’t believe jere’s feelings for belly are very strong… so i’m very confused with the show and all the changes in his character 🤧
conrad tho, is as moody and silent (f him at this point) as in the books, so at least he’s stable enough 💃🏼

I feel like Jere was right to call out Conrad.
I feel like Jere is the only one that doesn’t idolize Conrad. He admits that he used to, but as he’s gotten older his perspective has changed.
I feel like Conrad likes the theory role of taken on the burdens of life, of being the older sibling and what that entails. But not the actual execution, the actual hard part of being there when things get tough or uncomfortable.
The whole first season he carried the burden of Susanna’s cancer and refused to share it with Jere. When Jere finds out it all happens so fast. One minute everything was fine and perfect and the next everything was wrong. He was in the dark and then he was blinded. He had to take on the role of Susanna’s care taker and all of her finances.
Conrad walks around like he is in charge of everything, but refuses to man up when it all comes down to it. Like why is Conrad the only one that can make decisions, why can’t he ask for Jere’s input.
I can see why Jere is frustrated. It’s like none of these people see past Conrad’s BS, except for Jere. Because nobody else will call out Conrad for his shortcomings. Belly and Steven have this weird idealization of who they think Conrad is and refuse to see his obvious flaws.

But I think he needed to get it out of his system, he’s been through some shitty stuff. Watching this episode... it's just painful. I just keep waiting till Belly comes back in and drunk calls her mom. I kept thinking as I was seeing the house get wrecked, that someone just give me Laurel's number and I will make the call. This episode ended exactly how I thought it would, based off the books. The next two are going to be painful because we know we are getting a season 3, but production is on hold until the Writers Strike is over... so I'm hoping it can be resolved soon with a good outcome for all involved. That way we won't have to wait the actual 2 years for the next season.

I think you should take it a little easy on Jeremiah because he had to watch his mom fade away every day and I think he just felt alone because it was just him having to take care of his mom alone for most of the part While also having to deal with his feelings for belly and I think he was a hurt when Conrad came to him beginning because what else can you say other than yes if your brother goes to you begging to be with this girl that you're in love with but your brother is also in love with and you know that she loves him too....... and he never really got to talk about it with him also belly keeps leaning him on like she will be about to kiss Jeremiah or will be asking why he didn't kiss her but then also giving Conrad hope that they can be together again.....

@@reactswithria but i think the point was that the rift between the brothers goes beyond belly. at least, it does for jeremiah. i know i've said hurtful things to my siblings in a fight and vice versa. emotions run high and you say things you don't mean. and that's also why i think conrad feels as comfortable as he does never really taking jeremiah seriously...that fight might have been the first time he's realized jere feels the way he does. the love triangle certainly complicates things, but their argument was so much more deeper than that.

I understand the conrad shippers but to be fair Jeremiah only was mistaken that he included Belly in that fight, other than that he was right.
He was the one who was with Susannah the most, who had it the hardest and no one was there for him. Conrad constantly puts himself above Jeremiah just because he is younger and even here he tells him to grow up when Jeremiah matured the most! Conrad alwyas wants to take decisions by himself and not include the others when in reality he hasn't done anything that mattered.. Jeremiah did and he is tired of Conrad not taking into account his feelings

Question out there for everyone whos read the books because i haven't. Now that the show got renewed for the third season and they didn't say final season anyway the deift off from the books like other series such as Game of Thrones did? Also, i feel like the Team Conrad people read the books and the team Jeremiah people have only watched the show? Thoughts?
It’s pretty much like the book some things are mixed around or done earlier or later than in the books but it’s staying kinda true. (Also some additional stuff was put in) I watched the series first and loved Conrad from the get go. Even though I thought I would like Jeremiah (because of the trailer) but I get Conrad better. I am also a person that has to think about my feelings by myself first and then I can share them. Also had I red the books before I would have been team Jeremiah because Conrad is not fully fleshed out in the book imo.
honestly, i can’t even tell rn if they’ll try to make more seasons out of it… i think there’s a big chance tho! but this is one of the most BOOKISH on-screen adaptations for me personally! ✨

Finally seeing bonrad have convos and not just acting like everything is fine between them was *chef's kiss* also can we highlight the cutest moments ever?? Isabel, Connie baby, the picture at the party AHHHHHH imagine when we get them next season in their certain walking down the aisle outfits 😄
Also I'm starting to agree that I see something between her and Jere, I mean that comment from him at the party was whewwwwwww. He lost me as well at the fight, bc his points against Conrad were just too much. I've noticed that Jere always brings up bad Conrad around Belly, but Connie hasn't brought up anything bad about Jere around her. It just makes me so excited to see them mature next season! So happy we finally got our Steven and Taylor scenes too 💓 as always I'm happily on this roller coaster ride with you Ria! #TeamConrad

I think what Jeremíah says is wrong they want you to feel sorry for him but I don’t he’s very aggressive and can’t stop mentioning his brother I think since his narration people don’t see things for what they are his narration is unreliable he doesn’t know what happened with Conrad and belly
