What night life? I was just at St. Louis and found it a very boring city when it comes to night life. We were disappointed, cut our layover in St Louis a day short and spent the extra time in Nashville...now THEY have a night life. Also...crime isn't due to night life. It's due to social inequities. But then we're talking about Missouri many of whom are Republicans and many of those are even worse...they voted for Trump! These people don't understand why things happen and think the inequities they are benefitting from is "God's will" and their "reward" for being a "good" Christian. Make no mistake, it's not live music and a beer that is to blame for crime... it's all these Republicans and Democrats serving corporations instead of the people. If the minimum wage had the purchasing power as when my grandfather was a young man just entering the work force it would be at $20/hr+. St. Louis doesn't suck because of the crime. It sucks because of the politicians and business owners treating the citizens like crap!
St Charles and St Louis are two totally different cities you know nothing about STL like you said your not even from there. All the clubs and strip clubs are on the east side in Illinois.
Also... do we REALLY need to keep those goofy-ass, "historic" pavements on Main Street and nearby streets?? Doesn't that, kinda... FUCK UP a lot of people's car suspensions? Or, at least, really causes mayhem while driving unless you have "the best" suspension possible. It's NUTS. Few other roads will ever give you the kind of shaking and 'grief' you get when driving on Main Street. Maybe it sufficed when cars were barely a thing, and people still walked or used horse-driven carriages, but it's time to UPGRADE those roads :P big time Pave that shit normally already.
When you allow undesirable individuals into your neighborhood they bring undesirable situations. It’s all over STL I’m happy I left almost a year ago. No more gun shots no more violence no more.
"historic" St. Charles is an overrated facade It's mainly just a bunch of *regular-ass businesses you'd find most-anywhere else in the modern era* (with maybe a handful of "old-school" exceptions). Only 'big difference' is that the buildings they use *for* said businesses (and some gov't buildings here n there, I suppose) have been maintained and kept since the 1800s. That's about it, really. The folks pretending like "Historic Main Street" is some HUGE ATTRACTION are hilarious! I've lived in St. Charles for almost 8 years now. 'Historic' Main Street is nothing special, honestly. I guess it "looks kinda cool"... sorta? But, again- it's just a bunch of modern businesses you'd find most-anywhere else, in abundance, within "cool-looking" buildings. That's about it. It's nothing special, honestly. I don't think most people would 'give 2 shits' about Main Street, 'tourism-wise', except for the "historic" part of it. The city milks that aspect of it for all they can, which I guess is understandable, from a revenue and tax-dollars perspective, but the rest of us know it's all a ruse. At least, those of us with a brain do. I've never really had much 'inkling' to go to Main Street, tbqh. Like, if you just LOOK UP the list of businesses on the 'historic main street' website, you'll see that, for the most part, it's just-another "standard downtown" loads of other places have, w/ one extent or another "historic-ness."
"desirable" customers i.e. white and middle-class (lol) Maybe a few black, middle class or black rich ones (if they're "not too uppitty" or "not too woke", lol)

Yes, so did Gaslight Square, Laclede's Landing, and Washington Avenue. But if you don't manage the situation, Main Street will see the same fate. Like a supernova -- burn bright for a time and fizzle to nothing.

City riff raff ruins everything.
Now coming from North County, descending like locusts and destroying everything in their path.
Yes they destroy what they have then move on to your neighborhood.
@@leftistnazicensorship8882 yeah. Have you ever seen Aesop Fable "the ducks and the hens" if not look it up.

St Charles make more money from the clubs and bars
