Tip - When the bananas are super ripe (brown peel) you can use less granulated sugar because so much of the starch is converted. Beautiful banana bread indeed. I really love this series. 👍
Great tip! Thanks for watching. :)
Inaaya Pathan Yes, yogurt is a good substitute for sour cream.
So can I skip half the sugar if my bananas are very ripe ( this won’t affect the bread overall)
Loveschocolate22....yes you can substitute with Greek yogurt.
Tosh T thank you! Great tip to know in advance!
To help everyone out here:

Thx for the ingredient list !!
Cheryl is there no yeast needed in this one?
Cheryl I was looking for this comment haha thank you 🙏☺️
@@THESTYLECHAIR banana bread does not use yeast
Thank you, you actually helped me bake it
👀 what ripe bananas? I didn't see any lol
jerrit20 that is just 🤦🏽♀️
Lol I see what you meant... Me too I typically use overripe bananas for baking
I WAS JUST GOING TO SAY THAT LMAO
Saw the comment RIGHT as I was thinking the same thing lol
Imagine what no ripe banana is
I make bread when my bananas are BLACK and i dont add in any sugar except some brown sugar. then i add in banana cream greek yogurt and banana pudding mix which makes it hella moist. topped with brown sugar and cinnamon... add cinnamon and nutmeg to the batter its way better that way
Veronika Owens omg girl your banana bread sounds so good please share recipe!!
Veronika Owens - Wow! That’s sounds great. I have a favorite Banana Nut Bread Recipe, but I’m very interested in trying your take on BNB. 🤔
@@alishamurdock3796 ill give a recipe this weekend
Yeah I didn't like how much white sugar she poured into the batter :O
Thanks
Oh my I can't believe what you just did! For over 20 years I've been cutting each piece of paper to fit the loaf tin!! Thanks soo much!
I followed this recipe three times already and comes out bomb every time 😍😍😍😍
*brown n ripe bananas* have left the chat
Lmao 😂🤣
I made this yesterday and everybody loved it. I personally loved it and believe it was one of the best banana breads I've ever had. I used Greek yogurt instead of sour cream and brown sugar instead of white sugar. Definitely recommend this recipe :)
whats the difference with the greek yogurt and brown sugar?
@@jj4829 hey,
I just made this recipe (with ripe bananas) and it was seriously amazing! My whole family loved it! They just ordered more materials to make another batch👌
When i saw her pressing the parchment paper i was like DUH until she pulled that Scissor
Here is my banana bread recipe which i have been told is the best people have ever had
Wet ingredients
-1/2 cup soft salted butter
-1/2 cup dark brown sugar
-1/2 cup white sugar
-3 large VERY RIPE (completely black) bananas
-1 Large egg
-vanilla to taste
Dry ingredients
-1 & a 1/2 cups flour
-1 tsp baking soda
-2tsp cinnamon (or to taste)
-a good pinch of salt
Instructions
-preheat oven to 375°
-sift together the flour, soda and salt (or just combine well with a fork if you want)
-mix sugar, butter & cinnamon until very well combined and lighter in colour
-mash bananas with a fork until it is still slightly chunky
-beat egg and vanilla together with a fork and combine with the banana mixture
-slowly mix together the egg banana mixture with the butter and sugar mixture until it is a smooth mixture
-pour your dry ingredients into the wet and fold gently together until JUST combined (DO NOT OVERMIX) and let rest for 5 minutes before pouring into a buttered and floured loaf pan
-place in preheated oven for 55-60 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with only little moist crumbs.
Optional Mix ins
-1 cup of toasted walnut pieces (my favourite)
-1/2 cup of chocolate or peanut butter chips
-1 cup of frozen or fresh blueberries
-1/2 cup shredded/flaked coconut
It also tastes better the second day but is amazing warm with a pat of butter as well
Edited in 2020 for clarity
-all purpose flour
-standard or large size egg
Or alternatively try a flax egg or chia egg and vegan butter if you want it to be vegan. Thank you guys for the love
Thank you I'm going to give this recipe a try
Thank you ! Sounds delish, hoping to try it soon
Thanks for your hard work, I will try it
Hey can u please mention which flour? Is the all purpose flour?
A large egg?!! U mean a dinosaur egg?
Tried this one at home! and OMG my whole family loved it! The texture of the bread itself is moist i think it really works with brown sugar and cinnamons! Thankyou!!
Love this recipe 😍 I used it twice and I’m not going for any other recipe again! I suck in baking but this is so easy 💕
This is my go-to recipe. My family and I love it so much! Thank you ❤️
Yum! That looks soo good !! I’m going to try making it . Thank you for sharing your recipe 😃
Just made this Monday night it was amazing and a huge hit with my family, thank you and I hope your doing well stay safe 🙏
Almost everybody is hating her here but did somebody make that recipe? I did and I am doing it for the second time today, because it is very good one
This looks so good, can't wait to make mine!! I'm obsessed lol
oooooohhhhhhhh, I wish I could take the next slice of banana bread right off of the table. Goodness gracious this looks so good!
I can't wait to be able
replace white sugar w/light brown if u want more flavor
Angie Wong and replace sour cream with cream cheese!
Yessssss😋
This recipe worked. I didn't have sour cream/greek yoghurt so i subsituted it with a bit of milk. Add in a dash of cinnamon and it tasted great. Thanks for this :)
Great recipe and beautiful kitchen! I baked it a bit longer, used riper bananas and reduced the amount of sugar :) thanks so much for sharing the recipe!
Great recipe. Best so far i tried. I cut down the sugar to 100 grams and use brown sugar instead. Dont have sour cream so i subs it with greek yogurt and baking soda mixture. Also change half of the flour to almond flour. Turns out great still!!!
Banana and chocolate are match make in heaven. Super satisfied. Yummy 😋
Aquamarine Lee can I use milk instead of yogurt or sour cream? If yes, what is the measurement? Thanks
Omg what’s the problem in the comment section everyone is bugging out because the bananas aren’t ripe enough who cares if you want your banana ripe enough wait a few more days or put them in the oven like she said! Lovely recipe I’m definitely trying this tomorrow!! 😘😘
True!
I definitely see this recipe so appealing so I tried it (just swapped some ingredients with brown sugar, baking powder & all purpose cream instead of the sour cream, cause those were what I had) and it was still awesome, my husband and friends loved it and will definitely make it again. 🤗 Thank you for this recipe Delish!
Cara G. It taste so good with brown sugar!!!
exactly! positivity over anything else
this looks so amazing! I need it in my life right now!
I love the take on the banana bread. Never thought of adding chocolate chips. 😊👍🏽
That looks sooo bomb. I can’t wait to make this.
It truly is a great recipe. I play with flavors and add different ingredients from time to time, but always comes out delish!
I’ve made this twice now and wow, it’s AMAZING. I actually split the batter and add a little cinnamon and sugar in between. And I use baker’s chocolate which trust me, tastes SO much better as the cocoa flavour is intensified. Thank you for the recipe!!
Omg that looks so freaking amazing... must make
This is THE BEST recipe I've found on RUclips. Some recipes make it way too extra with the special ingredients and steps. This is the perfect, simple, delicious recipe I needed (AND the texture is perfect! No more chewy, dense, gross banana bread)! THANK YOUUUU!
I’ve tried a few different banana bread recipes and this is hands down the best! I always get compliments when I make this.
Def add some cinnamon! And maybe even use brown sugar instead
Yes cinnamon adds a whole new dimension! I always do
how much do you put?
@@anyanguyen2016 probably a teaspoon
everberry51 and nutmeg yes
I love cinnamon
Great tip regarding the wax paper!!
Simple but effective 💯💯
Yaaas. I tried it and it was very helpful.
Man! i have been making this since i saw it the first time and people just love it, the smell when it is baking is just amazing and the taste is phenomenal, the more ripe the bananas are the better the taste
It’s been a while since I really enjoyed baking videos ♥️
I love adding vanilla bean paste and berries to mine plus frozen mini chunks of butter.
I plan on adding kiwi to mine 😊
who's here after Coronavirus?
katia gonzalez during, you mean ...
Hi from Italy ❣️
i think this is a perfect time to make banana bread
Hi, from South Africa :)
Hi, from California
This recipe turned out lovely! This will be my go-to recipe from now on
Looks easy, really nice vid, one of the Best and likeable to watch so far.
I'm new to baking and cooking. This was my 1st banana bread and it's awesome! Here are a few suggestions if you (like me) are a novice. When measuring dry ingredients, use measuring cups for dry ingredients. The glass measuring cup is to be used for liquids. Scoop the flour (I used all purpose). You may want to make sure that it's aerated (not settled) before scooping. This will ensure that you scoop the right amount. I've heard that using non-aerated flour is often times the reason why your baked goods come out dry. If you don't have a toothpick, insert a sharp knife into the the bread to see if it's ready. If it is ready, the knife will come out clean. Finally if you have raw walnuts, toast them first. 10 mins in 350 degrees F is what I did. I did this about an hour before baking, but they only need to be cooled off (maybe 15 mins?) before they're incorporated into the recipe. Happy baking!
Tried this just now ❤️ it came out great, thank you! (I substituted the milk with greek yoghurt)
Thanks for showing how to fit the parchment paper so nicely into the pan. I know it seems like it would be obvious, but that quick tutorial was awesome!
Just made this, gorgeous. I added pecans and choc chips. It fits x 1lb loaf tins and cooks in 30mins. Definitely making it again 👍
Made this a few days ago...twas yum. Loved it
i have just made this and turned out great.. i didn't have sour cream so i replaced it with yogurt. it is yummy. next time i think i'm gonna try it with some cinnamon....thank you very much for the wonderful recipe.
I made this today, and it is delicious! I did change a few things, though - I added a small amount of ginger and cinnamon powder, some raisins (because I don't like nuts), and used only about a third of the amount of sugar you suggest. It's perfectly sweet enough for me, and it means I can have it with butter and a bit of jam if I want to.
I have just made this, it’s beautiful!
Brown butter banana bread with cinnamon and nutmeg is my favorite 💛
Cassandra Rose that sounds amazing! I’ve never thought to brown the butter. I’m going to try it! Do you let the browned butter solidify again or do you just mix it in melted?
rach_robinson09 you don’t have to let it solidify, just let it cool to room temperature before mixing. The recipe I use is Brown Butter Banana Bread from Joy The Baker. 👏🏻 Happy baking! 🙂
Tried this recipe just now... I’ll let you know how it turned out. The buns are in the oven ☺️ (The recipe was big enough for two small bread pans and I used 3 very ripe 🍌 and replaced a C of sugar with 3/4 c brown sugar)
This is incredible! I’m totally inspired! 💖
Looks delicious 🤤😋 I'm definitely going to try this recipe 🥰🥰🥰
They look really fine❤❤ i am going to try and bake this and give ot to my teacher so i get a good grade😂👀👀💖
I like to add a half cup of cocoa powder for really chocolaty banana bread. Yours looks amazing. Thank you
I made it 100 times and making 101 today and loving it, beat recipe! Every-time turns perfect! Thank you
you literally said everything i needed to know . wow
Who in the world waits 30 mins for bread to cool down ?
😂😂😂
Hack tip. Bake before sleep. You won't have to wait because you'll be sleeping and in the morning you got banana bread for breakfast
😂😂😂😂😂 I was thinking the same thing.....🤣
true. you wait for 1 min becore eating and HAHSASHAS your way through it
Yanie witty 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I like your description of the hot in your mouth 😂
Do you have recipe in metrics measurement instead of cup please? Really love to give it a try.
I have made banana cupcakes two days ago.. Definitely it's a winner. 👍👍
Made this yesterday for the fam and it was utterly delish. 😊👍
I just tried it super recommended. it came out delicious.
Such negative people down there love ur recipe wounderful🤗
Lol I bet if she’d say it her bananas weren’t ripe yet or stated that she’s using non-ripe ones, then everyone wouldn’t be so sensitive...Sheesh~
What is the problem with the word “moist”? Why does she say it apologetically like it’s a dirty word??
mingzybaby ..........LOLOLOL! i don’t say it either! my daughter goes berserk when she hears it. 🤣
mingzybaby same !!!!! I’ve never understood how it even got so popular to hate the word moist !!?
I hate the word moist. There is something about it. Lmfao.
I hate the word 🤣🤣
I know like who was thinking about that on a recipe video???
This was by far the best banana bread I ever made🤗 I didn’t use sour cream or sugar in mine. Thank you for sharing!
Have been using your recipe and every time the banana bread came out to be a bomb! amazing recipe approach and is by far superior to others online. THANK YOU!
will also point out, the wax paper trick has been extremely helpful. great choice of tip!
( personally, prefer to use brown sugar , and for a bigger batch add one more egg.)
I love your recipe thank you so much for taking the time to do this for us. Whether or not the banana is ripe it was still wonderfully made🤗❤️
I just tried this recipe yesterday afternoon (with less sugar because I just didn't want it to be overwhelmingly sweet) and have to say that I love how it turned out! I am very impressed that it turned out the way it did because I've tried many banana bread recipes and they've always failed me. I think that the sour cream was really the key to this! Also, I put it in the oven for 1 hour 3 mins. 50 mins was way too short and the dough inside was somewhat underbaked.
Seeing people make different versions of rice crispy treats would be cool🤗
I made some yesterday. It came out perfect. The best banana bread I have ever made!
Love it! I like to use almond flour instead of regular flower, and substitute the sugar with honey! You would be surprised how much sweetness you get from just a little bit of honey and the sweetness from the banana! I usually add either pecans or almonds and always add chia seeds! It’s a more low carb option and still tastes delish !
Yummy nice and easy recipe to follow!! Thumbs up!! I hope it taste as good as it looks 😊👍🏻
I love having it dessert style with similar mix-ins but topped off with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a chocolate drizzle
This recipe is everything i need! I am so gonna do this tomorrow :)))
I thought the point of 🍌 🍞 is to use overly ripe 🍌 that are almost too soft to eat? She basically used a banana that you’d eat w/ you lunch.
So what?
Maybe that’s all she could find at the moment.
She didn't say how much sugar ?
Bananas presence is irony
No need to get worked up by that. She wanted to share the recipe and it's really good.
Those bananas were so underripe for banana bread she could barely mush them 😂😂
Graci0e G
I just made this and it is super moist (no apologies!) 😉 Great recipe! I didn’t have a loaf pan so I split the batter into two 8” cake pans and only baked for 30min. Perfect 👌
Omg!!! My first time making banana bread in my life always wanted to try but never got around to it until I seen your video like you say insanely easy!! And today I made it and it turn out so beautiful 😍and taste so good!!!☺️😋so thank you so much!! I'm so happy right now!!!
The club music is a really odd choice.
Not odd. Its unique and great
Folks are so negative! Thank You for the delicious recipe.
I add all the ingredients at once. Comes out great still!
I'm going to try this recipe asap. Looks so yummy.
The measurements would of been helpful in this recipe......

Can’t wait to try this recipe out!
I loved this recipe. Just the texture I was looking for. I have mine in the oven, I used less sugar.
I made this recipe and it was so good ! I highly recommend this!
Those bananas arent even ripe enought to eat let alone make banana bread out of!!
lexi fern it's really up to everyone, I personally eat green bananas (not completely green just a little) and have never had a problem
Littleone? You mean let alone?
I was thinking the same thing....
Exactly
@@sam6294 as a Nutritionist i can only say stop doing this !!!! It affect your teeth really Bad and The bananas still have a protective layer, this layer contains starch that our stomach can not digest. Please do not eat your bananas if they are still green it's not good for your health .
I want to try this recipe, it looks so delicious 😋
Definitely trying this out!!😋
i need some science folks to explain to me why the chocolate chip cookies didn't fully melt on top.
Ebizzill the chocolate chips has a stabilizer in them to keep their shape.
I think it's more about the fact that chocolate chips inside are covered by moist cake so the temperature is the same all around them and the chocolate chips on to the top have a moisture only on the bottom so the chocolate on top burn a little (when u overmelt the chocolate it hardens so that's the mechanism) so they don't melt :)
PS sorry, my English isn't the best and I problably made some grammar mistakes but I hope I satisfied your curiosity
Because is dark chocolate
My favorite banana bread recipe!!
I always receive compliments about how delicious it is!!
Making two loaf's today 🤤

Man that sounds heavenly! Thanks for sharing 😎
Looks delicious. I love banana bread, muffins especially with chocolate chips.
Made this today and it came out soo soo well. We chopped up a few KitKat fingers and garnished it on the top along with chopped walnuts and choco chips and it tasted sooo good
Those bananas were not overripe they were perfect for eating imo. Looks great! I like to use little loaf pans because everyone in my family likes the end pieces so that way everyone is happy!😄😃🥰everyone gets their end pieces❣️💙
Great recipe, so delish!
The complaints in the comments are embarrassing. 🤦🏾♀️
The link to the measurements are in the description box, (is this your first time using RUclips?) are you all going to cry because the bananas weren’t ripened to your preference? Such toxicity over a banana bread recipe. Give your heads a shake.
shes just tryna show the recipe, i make it with ripe bananas and its deliciouuuuus, im making it almost every week cuz my family is telling me to
I made it and it turned out to be just amazing 😍 thanks
Perfect! I loved
