Love Ozzy, Black Sabbath is my favorite band, but man they weren’t lying when they said that Sabbath Bloody Sabbath was recorded on an off day when Ozzy happened to be able to hit high notes, this was rough
@@ConrrHD It's difficult to sing, but Ozzy is barely in the same zip code as the correct pitch on half the notes here. I love Ozzy, buy this is pretty rough to listen to.
Yeah it’s absolutely impossible for him to replicate the recording - and that was 1973 - even that subsequent tour he couldn’t it’s just out of his range live …what a great song though. In my top 5 for sure Sabbath
I always thought Sabbath did to Ozzy's voice on SBS what Zep did to Plant's voice on The Song Remains The Same from Houses Of The Holy. I am impressed Ozzy actually hit notes that high, live.
I thought that he was unable to sing those high notes in 95. Why the hell did he ruined his voice with alcohol and drugs?? Despite that fact, its a pretty hard song to sing.
@@venturahxyz8088 They recorded Sabbath Bloody Sabbath when Ozzy had his once in a blue moon period of reaching high notes, so it was difficult to replicate those notes afterwards. Especially after the fact that Ozzy’s habit of performing shitfaced after the release of the track became more occurring. No live version of the track sounded even remotely satisfying to them so this one is bench a lot from their tours.
@@whoknowswhocares885 It wasn’t once in a blue moon back then lol. He stopped being able to hit high notes consistently after the 70s due to the way he treated his body.
Long live Ozzie the fame and 4tune never changed him ! The band was effen well fantastically brill and changed the face of rock music or even moulded it ! As a teen back then it's nee wonder the library dwellers thought this was evil and the work of the devil ? We that lived it knew different and this won't ever die ! People will play music like this when their funeral is being held ? It's been done already at mates of mine 😤😋🙏✌️r.i.p. Friends we all will join up again 🤔😍😉
I just came from a live video of Black Sabbath performing in Sao Paulo in 1994 and the last song was "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" and oh boy, although Tony Martin is a brilliant singer, but the way he sang "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" was almost terrible. Could it be that Ozzy heard something about this and as usually he didn't play Sabbath Bloody Sabbath in his set he decided to send a message to Sabbath like "This is how you do it" ? :D
If it was then he also failed. Gosh, why didn't they just lower the tuning a bit. The bridge in this video was probably so bad that they decided to simply end there. They gave us the heavy riff but as soon as Ozzy was about to start the video cuts haha. I gotta check the one you are talking about. This is a terribly hard song to sing, that's for sure.
I'm sorry, but Ozzy sounds really rough here. Way off key 50% of the time AT LEAST. I'm not trying to hate on Ozzy, he is one of my idols.. But for someone to say that sounded good means you are totally tone deaf. And if not there is no shame in being honest that the performance was rough. The instruments were perfect.
Wow even in '95 Ozzy needed a teleprompter? I've never been a pro musician and I know the ravages he's put his body and mind through, but I never got the whole teleprompter-thing with any singer. For fuck's sakes, he wrote the song and he can't remember the lyrics when he's in the zone? Oh well...Halford uses one too and he's no-where close to as far gone as Ozzy is. Still love them both.
How could Iommi not accept Ozzy when he was sacked from the band went solo and continued making money for Iommi. 😂 Guitarists are such arrogant twats. Anyway glad to see they all worked it out and had good careers. Many bands can learn from them but also people. If someone you care about you stick with em or ditch em Ozzy always makes people change there minds.
Not really. He was flat and missed quite a few notes, but in respect to the fact this was in the 90s and his abuse of drugs and alcohol had already passed its peak, it’s damn impressive. The scream “You Bastards!!” Was so damn good though.
Thumbs down cause is not the full version, it's cut off abruptly right before the high notes and that's exactly what I wanted to hear when I clicked on this video 👎👎👎
@@marchingbears1849 how? Because his voice is completely broken. FYI Sabbath is the greatest band of all time. I'm just not delusional. Ozzy broke his voice early on. He went too hard.

22 years difference from original recording mate. Cmon are you even 22 ?
He could hit those notes fairly often from 72-76. Just a tough song, lol.
It's a ridiculously high song lol
Yeah those high notes are awesome! especially in the studio version
Joe Holmes is a Monster of the guitar!
Wouldn’t go that far
Ozzy sounds fantastic here tbh, his voice was really strong in the mid 90s.
what?

Tenho o ingresso até hj!
Joe Holmes is such and underrated player. He's a beast. Farmikos was a killer band .....wish he had done more with them
Joe might be best player that Ozzy ever had in band. His only problem is, that he came after Randy, Jake and Zakk. Killer player.
