- Sonny comes home after the Joe Scully retaliation shooting to see Brenda. She flies into his arms. He wonders what those bastards did to her. Sonny asks Brenda to tell him the whole story. She recounts the tale of being shot at it the shower. She is worried that they might come back but Sonny promises that they will not. Brenda wonders aloud what Sonny has gotten them into and wants an explanation. She says she knows it has a lot more to do with Joe wanting a piece of Luke's. Sonny evades. Brenda says she feels like a complete idiot as she's been going around defending Sonny to everyone who's been trying to tell her he's nothing but trouble. The fight escalates and Sonny leaves.

@4:55 - Sonny was such a jerk in this scene after brenda kept asking questions.
This is the point where it got a little ridiculous and makes Brenda look bad as a character. Sonny is comforting her for like a minute, and as soon as she wants information from him, he goes cold and basically blames her for what happened. Any woman who isn't crazy, walks out and never comes back..
Doesn't make her look bad, those were his actions not Brenda's. She could have left but he would have been on my girl a** trying to get her back. Sonny shut down when he doesn't know what to say to Brenda and sometimes he can be a A** about it. I dislike how he did her here and would have left in that moment, if I were Brenda, but I'm coming back, tho. 🤣🤣🤣

In reality this is where things would have to change. Because she knows Sonny is FOS big time here. They did NOT shoot up the apartment because Skully wants 10% of of a blues club.. He is on full on in the mob and it is about power. Brenda knew it but never fully confronted him with it.

Which to me was more about her being young and very inexperienced with love than anything else.. It was a very unhealthy love.. Sonny didn't really know how to love. He was too selfish.. Love means sacrifice. He wanted all the power, the money, and Brenda. Just kept lying to keep it all..
@@dbreiden83080 BOTH didn't know how to love. I don't know about "unhealthy" imperfect love, yes. Age didn't matter, Brenda was old enough to know what she felt in her heart. Yeah, he wanted all the power and Brenda, just who he was. Can't blame him for wanting what he wants, tho. Brenda was selfish as well. At the end of the day they taught each other how to love (actually Brenda showed Sonny) what true love really is. May not have been your way or mines. Let's be honest Brenda KNEW, she just wanted to hear him say it.
It was in this moment Brenda should have left Sonny for awhile! She was SHOT at in the shower Sonny and deserves answers! I wish the writers would have shown Brenda fed up with Sonny and walked out until he came begging...
She deserved more than this.. This of course is one of the reasons she wore the wire, that/this moment should have been what drove her...not Ned having her listen to a tape.. F a tape.. her own experience should have lead her decision.
