RIP to Jabra - I always enjoyed their earbuds
I don't often get emotional, but it is so sad to see such a quality brand have to take this option. I don't even have a Jabra product; I plan to get the Elite 8 Gen 2 when available and will still go ahead with that. Two to three years of upgrades will do me fine. But, yes, it is a sad day to see this news.
Really wish they would stick around since I do not see any other line like the Elite line with features and especially mic mute and button controls. Really sad since i was really warming up to their Elite line.
Technics has mute capabilities
@@McmeYTman Yes but unfortunately Technics are not available for direct sale where I live. Resellers are there but they charge a heavy premium.
My last two premium buds have been the active elite 75T, and then I got the elite 10 back in January. I love both, and I'll be sad to see Jabra go.
Love Elite 10!
That really sucks, I love the Jabra earbuds they have been my mainstay for ears, so which brand would you suggest jumping to now?
I'm greatly disappointed by the news about the discontinuation of the elite line. If you don't live on an Apple island, the Elite 10s were the best all-around for a host of devices and for switching between OS platforms. The IP ratings, mic quality, sound, adequate noise canceling and fit were excellent. I have to go out of my way to add that the Elite 10s were the only TWS earbuds that I own where I didn't need to use aftermarket eartips to get my best sound. I personally owned all the WF1000s since the XM3, Have the Airpods Pro 2, as well as the Elite 10s and they are very very competitive.... even preferred in many circumstances.
As for the case being a BT transmitter. Love the idea of using it on an airplane without having to pack another BT transmitter and/or take wired earbuds just for the plane ride. I'm thinking of buying a gen 2 set just because it's the last. =(
Damn, I’m going to miss Jabra. A lot of people don’t know Jabra was the brand to get the wireless earbud community going😟😔🙏🏾💯
The Elite Active 8 Earbids have been the best I've encountered and fully waterproof. This is massively disappointing news!
Love Jabra, been using 75T for years now. was planning to get Elite 10 Gen 2, but now don't think it's a good idea. problem is there not many alternatives.
This is sad😢. Besides Apple I have several Jabra earbuds. Really love them at the gym and airplane.
Is spatial audio like u hear speakers in front of you and behind? I tested the Bose headphones not buds and really liked it. Felt like speakers front of you listening to music. I think it would be great in an office setting if u don't want sound both sides and to resemble a office speaker. Although not sure if this feature supported all songs on Spotify or RUclips. Plus if hear through to hear colleagues does spatial work
sound quality is avg. left and right ear bud sometimes doesn't connect to phone
Even if it's not strictly related to these buds, what's your take on LC3, QualcommSound, AuraCast and such? Are these the future, present or a "gimmick"? My next buds should be future proof.
I own the Elite 10 gen 1 and comfort is next level. Audio quality is also good if you get the equilizer right and ANC is decent. Spatial audio is pretty much useless for me as I like my galaxy s24 ultra spacial audio more. If I need dolby sound I enable that.
My first true wireless earbuds were the Jabra Elite 65t, but looking back I was pretty frustrated with them. They were ahead of their time with multipoint, but still had a microUSB charging port, no individual bud usage, and the sound was poorly sealed for my ears such that I could barely hear the bass. My main gripe was that the left bud hisses more than the right bud, especially at high volumes, and also has some more clipping distortion. Some of these things were rectified with the 75t but it was disappointing it still didn't have individual bud use, as they promised bringing this with a firmware update, but it was ultimately cancelled, but I guess adding ANC with firmware was a bit of a consolation prize. My next pair of Jabras were the Elite 3 which I just use as a backup pair as I was looking for a cheap option with transparency mode - they sound good but have a lot more hissing noise than many earbuds out there.
Holaa!! I love your videos! It helped me to decide to get the jabbras. Sorry for the request, but will you be doing recommendations of earbuds for cyclists? I see that you try all the devices on the bike, but I'd love a top 5 of recommendations❤
Namaste!
All iPhone users I know buy AirPods. Jabra was therefore targeting Android users interested in spending on quality earbuds. While the build and fit was always great, Jabra didn't offer aptX or LDAC support and their ANC was always weak. Competition targeting Android users (e.g. Sennheiser, Sony) offered what Jabra didn't, while still giving satisfactory build and fit.
By the way, for anyone concerned, LG Tone Free case exposes the mic via USB cable.
Yes but the LG tone app is broken and doesn’t work , most features on those earbuds won’t work unless the app is working
Please review yamaha tw e7b... These are amazing sounding YWS....
By the way loving your content ❤
I'm very sad about this. I've had every premium Jabra bud since the 75T and the 10s are my daily drivers and, in my opinion, one of the best all-around pairs of earbuds that you can buy. RIP Jabra
Hey guys, I noticed you guys didn’t do a review on Sony’s XB910N. I’m really torn between two choices which are - XB910N and the Soundcore Life Q35 (the Q45s aren’t available in my country). Can you please help me decide?
Great review. Spatial audio is a waste of time, 3.5mm connection is amazing, I fly alot and it's perfect. I always need to Cary wired headphones just for this reason. Is the fit deep? What is the volume levels like?
These aren't the deepest, although the 8 Gen 2 has roudn eartips which might stay better in yout ear.
Sad to see Jabra get out of this space. Their earbuds have always been more user friendly than the competitors even if they lagged behind a bit on features. I bought 2 earbuds just for the comfort. I wish things change in the future and they reintroduce another line up
I'm kinda sad to learn about the end of Jabra
I'm very picky about headphones, and since 2020, I was looking for a model able to deliver my 5 main needs :
Physical buttons
IPX7 at least for sports
Custom commands
Good sound
Multipoint
The elite 10s were the first to satisfy all that
Before I was using the LG TF8Q
The sound wasn't that good and the capacity panel was difficult to use with sweaty hands
But I had 3 needs fulfilled and as a bonus, the case was a Bluetooth transmitter
I own the elite 10s, but I think I'll get the active 8 gen2, now I'll have 6 needs fulfilled with the smart case and a better IP rating
It will also be a way to thank Jabra for their service
They're almost the last brand to come up with good physical buttons
How come the other brands are launching sport headphones fully tactile when you can't use them with gloves, a hat, when it's raining, with sweaty hands...
Even long hair can mess up the commands sometimes
Anyway
Thank you Jabra for these amazing headphones, you'll be missed😊
So after trying several different pairs of buds a couple of years ago, I found the Jabra Elite Active 75t and they have been my go-to ever since. I still love them and they work great, but I worry about how much more life they have left in them. Now with Jabra earbuds going away I'm curious if you would recommend either the Gen 2 versions of the Elite 8 Actives or Elite 10s for a huge fan of the Jabra 75Ts?
I'd probably recommend the 8 Gen 2s if you like bass. The 10s are great for comfort.
@@DHRME Thanks for the feedback and really appreciate your channel!
Cheers!
Will they still update the 10 to LE codec?
When are you guys reviewing Nuarl products??
RIP Jabra! I am asking again which one to get If I loved the bass of Elite 75T from the current lineup.
Mayybe The 8 Active 2.
Beats spends x amount on advertising, they gift (I think) those god awful head phones to popular athletes who in turn, wear those things like a piece of jewelry, the public sees this, they in turn are buying those god awful head phones. I own an Audio Technica ATH 50 wired headphones and have the wireless ear buds as well. What Jabra and ATH need to do is continue the quality sounding headphones and ear buds, and advertise more.
what a pity! I own 7 active and I used others before:( As I was about to buy 8 active GEN2 on the day of their release I will not purchase them then 😥
Why? They promised firmware updates.
Pls start doing for iem.
However, I hope to see a successor of Evolve2 Buds🤞
It's a shame to hear this. I'll be getting the Gen 2 elite 8 active when they come out. That headphone jack feature is something I've wanted for a long time in earbuds.
Are they facing stiff competition from Chinese headphone brands which are cheaper and have more features?
So it would appear.
I never bought elite earbuds but understand the market is over saturated. However, the Bluetooth audio market is becoming disposable tech.
My Elite 10 Gen 1 was still in the return window and I did return them although I do like them for work and personal and I was waiting for the Gen 2 but with the latest announcement I am not that interested anymore. Although I loved everything about the gen1 the material was sometimes comfortable sometimes it's not but I was ok with that until this announcement from GN pushed me back from investing in a new bud even their promise to support their products it's hard for me to chew. Maybe when they are heavily disconnected later this year I will pull the trigger.
I just bought my first jabra elite earbuds lol
The fall of Jabra in the TWS segment is normal, and many other brands will have the same fate.
Everyone has fallen into the trap of wanting to sell at the same price as Apple, without having Apple's ultra-loyal customer base 🤷🏽♂️
The only ones who will be able to hold out are brands like Samsung, Huawei, Oppo..., which contrary to the prices displayed for their TWS, most often sell them at half price, or attach them to pre-orders/bundle, or even brands like Soundcore, Earfun, Tozo..., who have understood that they are not Apple, and that $100-$150 for TWS is already quite expensive considering the current market.
This sucks. I prefer the Jabras over the Sony. I've had 3 pairs of Jabras, 1 pair i lost and my partner has the elite 10.
They are so good for bass, comfy for long use and I like the buttons 😢
Indeed. They easily have the best buttons. It's a sad day. :(
I'm shattered about Jabra, they have the best controls and customisation of any ear buds.
Once again, shattered 😞
Dad’s Hearingaids R Made Excellently by jabra. hopefully Deez Hearbuds™️ Render Margins Enduringly
I hear an Indian guy say "Let's do it" and then talking about f**s, I immediately
do. have. real. medical. excuses.
;-) 😘❤❤❤😲🤣
From the news article: As a consequence of the gradual wind-down including extraordinary promotional activities to reduce inventories.
Extraordinary promotional activities... I wonder if that means a significant discount on the normal price.
Smart! 🤓
so why would you pay $279 for the elite 10 gen2 when the sony mx5 earbuds are $290? and way better experience over all?
Sorry guys, it's my fault. Well..people like me anyway. Though we can technically easily afford it, just don't like the value proposition on principle. Premium buds are just as perishable(this is key) and often suffer the same faults as many cheaper options, yet don't make up for it in performance and features.🤷♂
Have you been watching our $99 bud video? ;)
@@DHRME Yes indeed, with great interest. That's where my cheapskate budget lives, and why I have over a dozen pairs - value! ;)
😢😢😢😢
Jabra too expensive for most people. Will not miss Jabra.
Where's the sonos ace review? Jabra is done with don't think anyone even cares tbh
