I had no idea it was a wood by product. Thought it was plastic. Thank you. I feel much more comfortable about the existence of cigars sleeves. This is a great service. I have to get some Perdomos...immediately.
I think this is the first company I have heard of that freezes them to ensure there are no beetle issues. Granted, I am new to cigars in general, but that's awesome to hear.
If the cigar maker puts it in cello, I leave it in cello. It is nice to have when I am rotating my cigars and don’t need to worry about possible damage. I also sort by cigar maker. My Perdomo shelf has nothing but Perdomo cigars. Makes it easy to know where to go when I am looking for a cigar. As always great video.
I leave the cello on, because all of my cigars go into an air tight food storage container. I keep my Cubans in a separate container at a lower humidity. Not the most attractive setup, but it works perfectly!
I keep mine in cello because I have to re-treat my humidor often. So that protects them during the shuffling about. Nick P you are a class act. Thank you for creating some of my favorite smokes! Best to you and your family.
Nick, I’m a 35 year career firefighter for a South Metro Atlanta Dept, and I came across your channel today, while on duty at the FD. WOW I can’t tell you how much I’ve enjoyed watching your videos, it’s hands down the best cigar channel on RUclips. I’ve been dabbling in cigars for several years now, but I definitely still consider myself a novice. Although I not able to buy them as often as I’d like, Predomos definitely are my favorite brand! Keep up the good work, and thank you for all you do!
What a gentleman ! Some Perdomo cigars are a bit pricey, true enough, especially to a cheapo like me, but never "over-priced" in the least. They cost to buy because they cost to make! The quality is unmistakable, the flavor is immensely delicious and absolutely worth every penny. Nick could charge more but he doesn't. because he's a good guy and his company is made up of good people involved in every process. For the flavor and quality these are the most reasonably priced cigars in the world ! He and this company are shining examples of honor in capitalism !
As far as having them in a shop in highly for having cellos because of exactly what you showed but as soon as I get them home cellos come off. A LOT of cigars that come in through mail aren't at the right humidity and need to breathe to get to proper conditions and cellos slow that process down significantly. My opinion, not saying perdomo is wrong or anything
You're absolutely right. Cellos hold their atmospheric humidity longer so it will take longer for them to acclimate. However, once they're at the right humidity, cellophane can protect them from fluctuations in humidity because it is slow to release as well.
I love love love the information that you put out here for us relative newbies and seasoned veterans alike. I have learned so much besides the the fact that your videos are very classy and easy to watch. Thanks Nick and keep em coming. Stay safe!
Thanks Horace, it really makes it all worth while when we get great comments and support like yours. We don't plan on stopping anytime soon man, stay tuned.
I've gone back and forth with cello. Nowadays I usually just leave it on, helps when I shuffle through the humidor looking for that one cigar I probably smoked, but swear I didn't. I'll have to try a Perdomo, haven't had the pleasure yet.
Im a new cigar smoker and at first i stuck to drew estate acids. Surfing youtube i watch Perdomo videos by the PRESIDENT of the company and got all the knowledge i need! Because you are so personable with your cigar clientele, i now smoke drew estate and Perdomo! I buy your brand because of these videos and fell in love with them. Love the champagne ones! Keep this up! Your building your brand!
Generally speaking if it comes in cello I leave it in cello. But I'm a clumsy guy too. Helps protect them from myself. I actually wish everything came in cello for this reason...
I take the cello off. A chief reason is that I get my cigars from online stores, and I doubt that they arrive properly humidified. I believe that those cigars will better reach their proper humidification unwrapped. I also find that cigars which have rested unwrapped in my humidors for 4-8 weeks are mellow relative to newly-arrived cigars. Plus, they look better. Unwrapped cigars under a glass topped humidor are a thing of beauty.
I would love to see a collaboration between Jeremy and Nick. Jeremy is my go to video inspiration (I've used a lot of his video tricks in our videos) and Nick is a cigar king in the industry. Make it happen fellas. 🤟
Great video. I’ve often wondering the reasoning behind cellophane. Also polypropylene was what Walter White used to dissolve bodies in acid. I don’t want that mess around my cigars.
These videos have taught me a lot about cigars. Knowledge makes me enjoy the product more, and I’m glad that you’re one of the few manufacturers that took the time to do this. Because of that, I’m glad to be a loyal Perdomo smoker.
Nick has done more to earn my brand loyalty over time than probably anyone. And frankly, for those special occasions- of which there are many (like waking up and breathing)- it's hard for me to grab anything else. I go through Perdomos faster than any other I happen to buy lately.
Hey Nick, I was just watching a video from a year ago where you were showing us the difference between Sun Grown and Maduro and talking about the difference in flavor. Can you talk more about “Habano”. You have a Habano barrel aged Maduro and up until now, I thought there was either a Connecticut, Habano or Maduro cigar.... so please, keep it coming!
Love...love....love your videos. Top notch, great production, very informative. You could read a phone book and I would watch the whole thing. Thank you
Thanks for that very detailed explanation about cello Nick! It has to be one of the most debated ”do or don’t do” questions on the internet! This was the best information about cello ive seen! SUPER videos as always! Beat wishes from a forever-Perdomo fan!
We're trying to give the people what they want. You always risk offending people when talking about subjects like this. Thank you so much for the kind words Peter and for smoking Perdomo!
Thank you for doing these videos and promoting your brand , I watch a lot of reviews and for some reason the Perdomo brand doesn't seem to get as much coverage as others at least where I go. But because of your latest live interviews and this channel I have been impressed . I'll be sure to pick up some Perdomo samples and Cigars real soon, I look forward to try them!
Hey man, thank you so much that really means a lot to me. Yeah, we really haven't ever marketed our product until recent. We always put everything into the quality of our product while trying to keep the price as low as possible for the consumer. Thanks for smoking Perdomo!
Very enjoyable and informative video. As my pallet has developed over the years, I find I enjoy your cigars more and they are finding a home in my humidor. Keep up the good work! Thanks
This is why I only order online. Beyond the maker, I rather I'm the very next one to handle the naked cigar. Great information here. I've only started my cigar exploration at age 52. It's brought a level of peace, enjoyment, and appreciation for the entire smoking experience. Your on my list of brands to try.
Honestly, every Perdomo I've ever smoked has been flawless and flavorful. Hard to find them in shops around me and I don't like buying online (support local). So when I find some I buy them, excellent cigars.
As always a great video. I ordered a box of barrel aged CT wrap, from CI. As soon as they arrive I plan on smoking one with a glass of Eagle Rare Bourbon. i
Hey Nick! Great video - lots of great advice, as always! I'm looking forward to your next visit to Toronto and Cigar Studio, in particular! Cheers, Pat
I’ve bought tens of thousands worth of cigars from canadas best cigar store, they always encouraged me to handle, squeeze, and nose the cigars every time I select my own cigars from the humidors.. doesn’t bug me when others do the same..
I hated when I started wrapping cigars and cellophane - despite what you think, the wrappers off-gas and it does change the flavor of the stick, premium cigar rollers never wrap their sticks in covers. And your cover photo, with the perdomo Lot 23, I'm a big fan of Nick Perdomo cigars, but it's a Lot 23 was always that we'll see stick, I tried a few of them, not bad for a inexpensive daily knockaround stick. By the way if you're out buying booze, you're near a Total wine & more, stay the hell out of their humidor.. there are cigars or lounge priced for a freaking retail humidor, absolutely insane pricing 😡
If you read this, i want you to know that i love your cigars haha but dont have any in my little humidor cause im just a broke blue collar man, 10th anniversary maduro is the absolute best cigar ive ever had, keep em comming amigo

So as we are looking around I see him grab a cigar and and sniff it, I was like "dude wtf you doing" and he asks me what he did so I had to educate him. I started smoking cigars back in my military days.
Love the videos. Question: I’m sure you smoke at home. Is there home equipment to keep the cigar aroma out of the house? I’m tired of smoking only in the garden! I want to smoke in my chair. Thank you sir.

Don't mean their cigars are good. 😂 most overpriced cigars taste like sht
Only a rookie takes the cellophane off. I always smoke my cigars with the cellophane on. It gives the cigar a nice flavor profile.
