Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force, known in Japan as Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters GX Tag Force is a video game based on the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime series. It is the Yu-Gi-Oh! series' debut on the PlayStation Portable system and the first game in the Tag Force series.
The player enrolls at Duel Academy as a transfer student. The main focus of the game is a Tag Force tournament that will take place on the island. Players must find a partner to compete in the tournament alongside. The game includes characters from the anime, as well as characters exclusive to the video games. Three promotional cards come packed with the game - "Phantom Beast Cross-Wing", "Phantom Beast Thunder-Pegasus" and "Phantom Beast Wild-Horn".
I loved this game, hopefully they’ll release Them as a bundle one day for ps4/ps5, these games were real fun to play.
Zane was my go to tag partner, my deck and his deck fit hand in hand since we both used a cyber dragon deck, still remember when I faced him the first time due to the story and him just using cyber end dragon and me being like ‘bro, I have a starter deck, chill’ and then me being like, ‘give me those cyber dragons’

@@HeroVoltsyTCG Remote duel is okayed by Konami. But there are no Konami sanctioned sites that can play speed outside I guess duel links. 🤐
My childhood here. Pro tip: sandwiches are your best friend here. Give them to who you wish to tag with a lot

Really enjoyed the tag force games back in the day, especially with the effects straight out of the anime, wished they had a game like this with the first gen characters and effects.
Also, I'm a bit sad, that there aren't really these kind of Yugioh story games made and they only focus on competitive these days.

Also, I believe Tag force 1-5 were all english translated and released in PAL regions, just not in North America, so there is english versions of those ones, 6 and Arc V special do not have English versions though.

All of the games up to 5 were translated. 6 and Tag Force special were never released outside of Japan.
Both got fan translated, but the man that translated them was an asshole and filled them with abridged jokes, slurs and bad/inaccurate translations in general.
6 was fortunately retranslated, so is playable, but for your own sanity I'd just skip Arc V. Translation aside, it just wasn't very good anyway.
If you're playing these games totally legitimately™ btw, there are some HD texture modpacks for the games that them make them look super pretty ^^

Oh man! I just rewatched Yugioh GX couple of months ago due to Nostalgia reasons. God damn Dude the 4kids dub is hilarious even till this day.

Brother I spent SO MUCH TIME PLAYING THIS but the deck customization menu is kinda booty, I wish a game like this would come out in this day and age

Ok here is something that I recomend. If you are using an emulator there are 2 almost esential mods.
1 is the JP voice pack which gives you Japanese voice action for duels and belive me the difference is night and day.
The other one is the HD texture mode which upscales the card art to HD quality so it won't look super cropet.
I'm playing the 3rd one right now with this 2 installed.

@@HeroVoltsyTCG When you do the card openings the difference will be great because even there it will be very pixelated.
You can look the thing up on youtube there is a quick run down on it and the links for the patch. But google also gives you them as the first search result.

Tag Force special fan translation is god awful.
Its literally nothing but YGOTAS references, unfunny jokes, incredibly biased translation, profanity everywhere, cringe humor and outdated memes.
Tag Force 6 is still being fixxed
Tag Force 4 and 5 English version cuts character profiles and Tag Force original character dialog in mini games and their own personal story
I preferred the ps2 version of the gx game, but still nostalgic seeing this

The best way to enjoy this game is to use cheats to remove the ban list and then give yourself all the cards in the game.
