    I was at that game with my brother in the nose bleeds. You could feel the tension in the air, almost as if it was a winner take all playoff game.
    I have memories that will last me a lifetime.
    Thank you KOBE for always wearing your heart on your sleeve, being RELENTLESS, and always giving it 1000%!!
    Saying RIP makes me sad, but I take comfort in knowing that you and GIGI are together forever. Inseparable!

    • @RJ-xh4xb
      @RJ-xh4xb Год назад +1

      Shaq did not want to leave. Kobe demanded a trade unless the Lakers get rid of Shaq. The Lakers chose Kobe. So in order to placate Kobe, the Lakers traded Shaq. And what happened afterwards? Miami, by getting Shaq, improved by 16 wins in the regular season....while the Kobe-led Lakers (from being in the 2004 NBA Finals with Shaq) did not even make it to the playoffs. The Lakers became irrelevant until they got Pau Gasol. "Good decision, Lakers???
      Had they kept Shaq, replaced the Shooting Guard position with a consistent unselfish shooter, the Lakers could have had another 3-peat with Shaq.
      What most Laker fans do not realize, the Lakers, with Shaq, won in 2000, 2001, 2002 DESPITE Kobe Bryant. In the 2004 Finals, the reason the Lakers lost was because Kobe wanted to be "the man", attempted 113 field goals, only made 43, shot an abysal .381 from the field and shot an atrocious .174 in 3pts. Kobe forced his shots even if he was getting owned by Tayshun Prince on defense one-on-one. Shaq on the other hand attempted only 84 shots, made 53, lead the Lakers in field goal percentage with an unbelievable .631 from the field, and Shaq outscored Kobe even if he attempted 29 fewer shots. Shaq averaged 26.6pts a game in that Finals series versus 22.6pts by Bryant...but Shaq took fewer shots, had a higher field goal percentage and averaged a double-double with 10.8 rebounds a game. Had the Lakers switched the number of field goal attempts, there is no question, the Lakers should have been the 2004 NBA Champions.

      Can't win em all.
      No single team is perfect and no single player is perfect. Every team and every person evolves and grows with time.

    I miss these days. Actual basketball. The competitiveness of Kobe has never been matched by anyone. He always went at the best player on each team. To show his dominance. Kobe and shaq, the best duo ever. Besides maybe mj and pippen.

    • @Nhp456
      @Nhp456 5 лет назад

      @E BO bro I was paying respect. But who did Jordan and pippen have to face? Anyone that was a factor was hurt during any play off or finals game. Kobe faced the most competitive era of basketball. Won 2 rings without shaq back to back. Kobe and shaq ruined what would of been at least 7 or 8 in a row.

    • @Nhp456
      @Nhp456 5 лет назад

      @E BO shaq won 4 and Kobe won 5. How many did pippen win without Jordan? We are talking about the best duo ever not the best player lol

    • @Nhp456
      @Nhp456 5 лет назад

      @E BO Kobe won 2 and shaq won 1. If they would of stayed together they would of won as many as they wanted. But them together were the best duo ever. Hands down.

    • @Nhp456
      @Nhp456 5 лет назад

      @E BO he never had an all star after shaq. Gasol was good but wasnt no shaq or dewayne wade. He had Bynum too but he was plagued with injuries. Shaq wasnt much older than Kobe at all and needed another Kobe clone to win. Anyways we were talking about the best duo ever. Not who was better out of shaq and Kobe. 2 different positions. If u look at who all shaq won with, penny, Kobe and wade were pretty much the same person. Kobe being the better of the 3.

    • @Nhp456
      @Nhp456 5 лет назад

      @E BO but he wasnt shaq. Not even close. Penny, wade and Kobe were the same type of player. Shoot 20-30 shots a game and have shaq clean up for them. Kobe did it in a much tougher conference. The west is always worlds better than the east. Shaq never did it alone either. U also have to remember those years where shaq got dominated after the heat teams.
