Ok this is brilliant! Perfect project for Christmas presents for my granddaughters. I’m about to try making fabric beads and I can see how I could add fabric beads to these bags. You give me so many great ideas. Thank you Marion
@@marionsworld24 I’ve almost completed one bag. I’m working on the handles, then decorations, and I have started another with a different yarn. My problem is with the foundation row. Your foundation row is crisp and flat. Mine is more frilly, like a lettuce leaf. Once I get past the foundation row, the rest of the work is fine-flat and firm. I will keep trying. I think a frilly foundation row means too many stitches added to the second row somehow? Not sure. Any ideas? Thanks so much
WOW you Blow us outa the water every time with your stunning idea's, I'm always trying to catch up with your inspirations😂. Just stunning. I picked up my crochet blanket I didn't finish from 2 years ago to finish it, when I saw your video come up. I will try this as well with the left-over yarn. Beautiful work Wendy. Love how you bring so many practical things we can all create. Congrates to the winner of that gorgeous sewing basket. Huge Hugs Marion xx
Very clear directions. 😊 But also gave me the desire to make a fabric origami shopping bag. You never know how you’ll inspire someone. 💖💖💖. Wendy’s piece is lovely!!!

Such a great idea to use up leftover yarn. My mother used to do the same with old pantihose. She put them into bleach to get a yellow shade as well. Then she cut them starting to cut off the feet end and cut into long strips. If you stretch the strings it fold into rounds like yarn. Then the crochet it into shopping bags. I still have one she did. It's very strong and stretchy.❤ Love yours as well. Thanks again for sharing your amazing knowledge with us all. You're a true artist of many media.🎉❤

Oh, Marion, you never cease to amaze me with the projects that you choose to teach us. I love this one and will be making it soon. Thank you for this tutorial. It is fantastic!!!❤️👜
Good morning Marion, thank you for your response. Why I asked is that I am trying to teach myself to do machine free motion quilting. I made a sewing machine matt sometime ago and I did a free motion on it, just a simple meandering design as practice and I really enjoyed it. I am nothing at all like a master machine quilter but I just enjoy doing small simple design. I know I need to do more practice which I admit I don't as I have so many other interests like you Marion. Anyway, those keep me going and give me pleasures in life. I just love watching you do things/chats on your videos, so calming. I wish I could visit you, we were in the UK twice a few years back but you were nowhere to be found then. Thank you Marion, take care and blessings to you. Thelma ❤❤
Well I was just sitting here doing what I'm doing... It's just I hadn't started to show everyone and have a channel etc. How things change.. If you ever find yourself coming back for a visit you'll have to let me know..
Thank you Marion for your great tutorial. I haven't done a foundation chain like that before so I am ready to raid my yarn stash and make this clever bag. Yours turned out so pretty. Wendy's Blackbirds look amazing too.👏♥️🇦🇺
I love Wendy’s Black birds. I also love the origami bag. I would love to make one. I can’t help but think how nice it would also be to use the same technique and make placemats and a runner for the table. Thank you for all the inspiration Marion.
I made my placemats with the same stitch but using 5 double knitting strands held together. As one colour ran out I subbed in the next one randomly. It's an easy way to quickly use up yarn you want out of the way. ☺️🧶
