Man This young guy knows his business He’s been doing it for so long that the way he explains it makes it so easy to understand Right words, movements, tricks and demeanor, he’s a master on his trade Thanks a lot! I’m 56 YO and I’m going to do my very first window tint With your help I will make it happen, with a few mistakes on my side, 😅
I have to say brother, your videos are awesome. I can't afford to go to school so I watch your videos every chance I get and practice on my own car. I pray that's enough to get me going because I really want to make this my career and I'm no spring chicken. Patience and attention to detail are a couple of my best traits so I pray that I can be successful
Thanks for this. I’ve done my quarter windows and rear window, now im ready for the the real test. Used some cheap tint for a practice with the pattern already but the techniques on your vid should help me get a great diy result
Appreciate the video! I’m about a month in with tinting and I was kinda struggling with cutting the film with the edges along the window and this helps! Ty.
Right like shifting it back before cutting the bottom ? I noticed he only shifted to the left, once then roxeesws to cut both sides . Is this the correct way?
I want to do just 8in down and have visors on windshield and side windows on my Peterbilt. Do I just use tape to create the bottom edge and follow same process?
Great job love the extra details, some Other videos I’ve watched have suggested at the end mounting it on the outside and taking a heat gun to give it a little more of a curve and fit but do you think that’s necessary I noticed you didn’t do that at the end?
I don't understand why some videos it seems people are shifting the sides and sometimes they're not? How do we know when we need to shift it? Thank you for these videos!
I'll have to try this method next time I take a swing at tinting our car (last time didn't go so well). It's pretty old so it's a perfect candidate for some cheap $10 tint attempts haha
Hi I like your videos they way you explain Is there way I can come to take classes from you because I’m having hard time on tinting especially on cutting.
Man I’m trying to tint my eclipse and the side mirrors are in the way and the windows are crazy curved and the tint keeps snagging onto the window weather gasket
So when i go to roll the window down i shouldnt pull the film down a quarter inch? Maybe thats why my cuts dont end up with jus the small flaps at the end to cut with a ruler then huh?
So If necessary do you shrink your film after you install it? My instructor taught us to shrink it on the outside before installing but I guess you could really do either
A true artist. So many tinters now rely only on the plotter and the top edge is pre cut etc. So with window shapes not being the same, u have the hideous top line showing of bare glass some times. It amazes me of how many tinters have no clue what filing the edge is on window tint film.
You forgot to put it down. You can not cut on the glass of the car. It is scratched glass by any machine tinting blades, I use 2 squeegee when i cut film
Its hard to tell. When your cutting the top edge. Do you angle to blade down twords the window? Hard to put into words. Im meaning blade is at a 45 degree angle but as far as the blade itself. Is it riding flat on fhe top edge or do you angle it down twords the glass edge? Hope that makes sense
@@WindowTintWarriors These are the things I need hands on training for. I practice and do great. Get on a customers car and do it without jagged edges but too doesnt want to line up. Its tiggt at top and gap at curve or tight at leading edge and gap at top. Frustrating. I also practice then get busy with life and dont tint anything for a month or 3. Im decent. I still struggle with debris and I have issuse with tight mirrors where the tint wants to bunch up and crease when I roll down to cut top edge. You should do a video of issues that may arrise and how to deal with them. Like a messed up cut or creasing when the mirrors are really hot tight to window frames.
do you have a video of tinting a model 3 back glass only half way up to the furthest defroster line? would I shrink as a normal up and down or shrink side to side?
So helpful, thanks Shawn. I have watched countless videos, and you have surpassed everyone else. Good stuff

Good job friend
Shawn, why did you leave the tint level with the bottom edge "window seal"?? I'm super curious
i really wanna know this as well, usually it goes into the trim like half an inche isnt it?
Can you use a 30 deg blade for tint? I was told it's mainly for vinyl as it may scratch the glass. Thanks!
It will definitely cut the glass. Because it is much sharper
I can watch these for hours
Ur the best man. Thanks
Hey shawn on a 2017 Acura RDX do you have to remove the whole panel in order to bottom load.
How cutting the back screen???

Thanks Shawn! I’m planning to tint my Toyota 4Runner. What is the purpose for shifting the film 1/2” forward?
So you dont undercut the film and have gaps when mounted
Awesome!! Thank you.

So If necessary do you shrink your film after you install it? My instructor taught us to shrink it on the outside before installing but I guess you could really do either
I typically only shrink the bottom when it comes to doors.
Thanks my friend i got it
Tinting legal in your state? % ratio?

When dude is literally tinting my exact car I’m about to tint
Thanks sirr
After you shift the film forward and cut the back edge you have to shift the film back half way or when you cut the top edge the cut will be off
Why is that? Ive been tinting for 11 years and don’t do that.
I also would like to know why I have to shift it back… are you not giving yourself bottom slack
Its hard to tell. When your cutting the top edge. Do you angle to blade down twords the window? Hard to put into words.
Im meaning blade is at a 45 degree angle but as far as the blade itself. Is it riding flat on fhe top edge or do you angle it down twords the glass edge?

Thats right. You angle the blade just as you explained

What if the car has visors?
Just roll down the window until you can cut the top edge.
