    Fantastic video. Ive watched countless tinting videos by every "so called professional"and they all make it look like you have to be an astronaut to tint a piece of glass. Your video is straight to the point and covered all the questions I was always left with. Thanks for the great video

      They learn the basics in 15 minutes and then spend a lot of time making it seem like what they can do most people can't. Most people can tint their own windows. I got a quote for $429 for the cheapest tint on my car up to the third option which was almost 1k. No thanks, I'll order the 15 dollar kit on windows and some highly rated film roll and diy. Sheesh. This window tinting has turned into a major scam and hype job.

      I wanted to add that I was so excited to tint my windows after watching a bunch of videos, just like some of the other commenters mentioned, but I became discouraged & bummed out big time, after ruining an entire roll - I don’t have a lot of money & been saving up to get the right tools, etc., I bought microfiber cloths, which sucked, so I did end up buying a roll of the shop paper towels, which seemed to work so much better for cleaning the windows, but anyways. I felt defeated & was going to go return the un-used items that I had bought, but figured I’d watch one more video & came across yours & you inspired me to try again; I can tell you’re a good soul & you really lifted my spirits!

    Excellent video my friend. Well explained. I have done a fair bit of tinting myself and one thing I always tell others is to make sure you get the tint wet enough. Don't worry about excess water to dry up. If your tint is dry, especially after you separate it from the film you will have nothing but problems with it sticking. To itself, and everything it touches.

      Architectural films don't always shrink as easy as automotive films. You can use some automotive films on architectural windows, but you have to be careful not to go too dark on dual pane windows. We usually recommend not going any darker 35% on a dual pane window unless it's an architectural film where the side that faces outward is reflective to allow the heat to bounce off instead of absorb

    5 attempts at tinting my windows. Just tried it this easy way. Failed again, but honestly I got further than ever before. I just don't have an artistic bone in my body.

    Why not use the straight edge of the tint for the bottom edge, rather than cut it?

    • @tintwork543
      @tintwork543  2 года назад

      Sometimes the tint is crinkled at the bottom from the roll of film, so it's best to cut it to avoid any creases at the bottom before installing it. These crinkles can also create fingers along the bottom of the window.

    You forgot to mention that you need a measuring tape, and a blade to cut with at the beginning. you should mention, that if you want to become a professional, then you need professional tools, not scissors.

      @@raiderman28 you want to cut the film. Whether you use the knife or scissors, IT DOES NOT MATTER. You cut it, you install it. Besides, he's teaching this for beginners. Did you read the title?

    • @tintwork543
      @tintwork543  Год назад

      Once again, as you can see in the title, this is a great informational video for beginners. We strongly recommend using scissors instead of cutting on the car to avoid damaging a customer's vehicle which can be costly.
