    The dating sites are bad now. I first tried the dating sites in 2016. A guy I worked with had an uncle that married a woman from the Philippines. I was curious so I checked out a few dating sites. I got tons of attention and I would say 80% of the girls were legitimate and looking to meet someone. Lots of very nice women. I was off these sites after 2017. Last year I went on them again, it is abysmal. Now 90% are scammers, working girls, or are just fake profiles. The quality of women is also way down. Don’t waste your time. If you don’t have a plan to go to Philippines soon and be able to live there, then there is no point chatting on dating sites. Dating sites for far away countries really are pointless.

    Approaching women in public has always worried me a bit because she might have a bf but lies to you about it. Some Filipino men are very possessive and quick to temper and the last thing I want is a PO'd guy in my face thinking I'm trying to steal his woman. Has that ever happened to you, if so how did you and the Filipino handle it ?
    Do you have any experience with Christian Filipina ? They supposedly vet the women and quickly delete the scammers though nothing can prevent her from lying about having a bf as well. I've followed you for years and your videos have really improved recently, thanks for all your help.

    I have to disagree with not utilizing the dating sites! If the sites are used correctly, you can profile a particular woman on the site that can initially meet all of your criteria. Now sending money to a woman based upon your interactions on a dating site is a really bad idea. For instance if your looking for a woman in a certain age bracket, or a woman who is single, never married, or a woman without children. If this woman's profile matches this criteria, you then have a good start. I absolutely agree that you need to get the boots on the ground and meet this person asap. I think to make a blanket statement of not to use the dating sites is not being realistic when most of these men live thousands of miles from the Philippines. I would also recommend to use the sites that may have a monthly fee, these sites seem to be managed much better and I believe they can actually eliminate some of the scammers.

    • @Lifebeyondthesea
      @Lifebeyondthesea  Месяц назад +8

      using a dating site assumes there are enough sincere seekers out of the thousands the site tells you fit your criteria. it's like saying, "well... it may be like looking for a needle in a haystack but that needle is in there somewhere and i'm gonna find it."
      that's not a good use of time or resources. i can, and i have so many, many times, taken a walk with the intent of seeking a new relationship and it usually didn't take me more than 4 hours, often less. no subscription price. no weeding through pointless chats. i saw the woman i wanted and 99% of the time, got her number and the ball was rolling.
      all this stuff written on dating sites like, "seeking serious only" means jack-diddly-squat. the only time i used a dating site was when i wanted short-time fun and i wanted her at my place within a few hours. miss-"seeking serious only" was at my place by nightfall. those bios don't mean a thing.
      but, do what you want. if i don't convince you.. the lackluster results for a good, solid relationship at the dating sites will.

    Dating sites are ok if u really understand the culture, have spent significant time here and know how to quickly screen the bad ones or the ones not truly interested in a relationship. Buy for a guy tjats never been to tje Philippines or just arrived the dating sites are a full mine field... But once u are here a while and understand how things work there is no need for dating sites.... So i agree with reekay totally....u can't understand how it works here in the Philippines until u get here, watching vidoes doesn't do it, and get out on the steets and out in the provinces and learn how things work, then finding a good girl is easy.

    I want on a dating site found a lady I liked, but she wasn't interested in a relationship because of age difference. She did however like the idea of friendship. So we are friends now, that was during lockdown. We shared our stories and personal lives with eachother. I also became involved with helping her sister with a problem. (Not financially). After a couple of year's of not chatting. My friend is now married and living in the USA.

    Could it be that it’s just different now? Perhaps a sincere filipina is more cautious regardless if approached directly or online? I would think the average filipina, big city or small, is now much more informed, being that they’re all on Facebook and other platforms thus making them more unpredictable. It’s an additional element in the equation for courtship. Then again, what would a married man like me know who hasn’t dated in 22+ years…

There's just too much debt and crazy investment vehicles that may collapse and take down the entire system. Bailouts and rate cuts only work to a point and when they don't work anymore, then the system just collapses.
