If there's any doubt what a genius Keith Richards is, watch his guitar part. People criticize him for his lead playing, but that really misses the point.
My favorite band, and if I had to pick my favorite song, this might be it. So many to choose from but this is an under rated classic

Another great performance, this time of one of my favourite Rolling Stones tracks. My elder brother bought the album when it came out when I was about 15. He loved it. I played it until it was worn out. I could listen to every separate instrument, a different one each time around I played this track. And you just opened opened it up again for me. Magic! Thanks.

What set up did you use to record this and what camera and software to get the split screen sync’d?
Mick Taylor's jazz experience, which he brought to John Mayall's band, really come in handy here as Taylor takes over the main part roughly at the later in the 3-minute section.

Yes. Mick Taylor and Keith Richards and Charlie Watts and Bill Wyman are clearly in the top 2 or no more than 3 greatest rock and rollers ever. When you listen in detail to their guitar playing, chord progressions and riffs. This is what puts them at the top. And Jaggers raw voice and skill at leading the band. But, one cannot talk about the Stones today (and during Taylors years) without talking about Brian Jones. He was a clear leader in setting these guys up for who they became. Now, no disrespect to Ronnie, but I think Ronnie knew from the beginning to not mess with what these guy created !

The riff at 2:14 by richards... ive been trying for 45 yrs to get people to pick it out on the ecord .....their ears can't pick it up....I've scratched up 3 copies of sticky fingers and wore out cassette tapes rewinding to that part.
It's amazing.....I picked it out the very first time I heard it.
It's pure gold.
What amazing musicians they were.
Imagine coming up with this in your head and transferring it to real life.
As famous as they were , they were STILL better than given credit for..

Very impressive capturing of the actual notes, chord shapes, etc. The tone is very good as well.....although I think the Stones used a slightly different guitar rig or configuration......it wasn't 2 Les Paul guitars but a Tele - Keith and an SG Standard - Mick. The tone isn't quite as sharp as the iconic album.

Super cover! C'est marrant que tu utilises 6 cordes pour l'open G mais j'ai vraiment l'impression que sur cette chanson keith en avait 6 également. Ca apporte une réelle différence. Quel est l'accordage de la corde de Mi grave? D ou G? Merci!

Je fais mes transcriptions moi-même et à l'oreille, et mes oreilles me disent qu'il y a des sons dans la première partie du morceau, sur la guitare de Keith Richards, qui descendent plus graves que le sol grave de la deuxième corde habituellement utilisée par Keith. D'où ma transcription sur 6 cordes // La corde la plus grave étant accordée en D. Selon moi, c'est ce qu'a fait Keith Richards lors de l'enregistrement de ce titre (doigtés inclus). Mais pour info, la majeure partie de ces détails sont précisés dans la partie description (de toutes mes vidéos) - accordages, historiques, etc...N'hésitez pas à consulter la description de mes vidéos. How do you play that chord Mick T uses at the 54-second mark? Are you barring your index finger?
