Lacey Sturm is a vocal beast but at the same time can have the most beautiful tone. Her story is a testament to never giving up.

Lacey sturm does an amazing cover of a song called mercy tree. Which really showcases just how well this girl can sing.
If you want some more female leading rock bands, Unleash the Archers, Evanescence, Halestorm, Icon for Hire, In This Moment, and Amaranthe are some of my favorites. Another couple of great songs by Fly Leaf are Breathe Again and Beautiful Bride. Totally recommend.

This is one of their first songs around the time of linkin park, evanescence, disturbed, three days grace, and many others who were scratching the surface of the newer metal genre we have today. It was there but in the underground. She is one of the first female artists to do it. Also, fun fact..she's like 4'11" and rips those vocals like no other
Lacey still has such a distinct Voice it fits with metal and Rock. Hate she left the band but glad she started doing her own stuff a bit after!

Always loved this song. Flyleaf is Rock. This came out when I was in high school. This was a common genre of rock in the early 2000s. Great video bro!

I remember when Fly Leaf first got known. I think the closest genera would be alternative rock? When F.L went on tours back in the day, she's roll with bands like Breaking Benjamin, Puddle of Mud, Bush, Seether. That alt rock sound. She wasn't the only female lead power voice back then there was Evanescence, Pretty Reckless, just to name a few.

It's rock my guy. I've Lways loved flyleaf I got to see them when they came to Alaska for free and it was so dope. They did there concert for free. And they are just amazing live. Remind you this song came out when I was in high school. That was some yrs ago

Yeah. She used to full out scream but she had alot of harm to her vocals because of it. Now she still screams but she does it in a way that is easier on her voice.

Jinjer, Infected Rain & Arch Enemy are really good female leading metal bands. Kittie also which is all female. Lots of other female led rock/hard rock bands that I have already seen commented.
