Man. I remember seeing Flyleaf at a music festival before they blew up. Little 5 foot nothin girl comes out barefoot in a white sundress and out of nowhere just belts this shit out. The entire crowd was absolutely stunned for about 3 seconds.
I don't think she's 5 foot. True story, and I'll give the super short version. I was walking up a set of stairs as a woman was coming down them. When she gets to the step above the one I'm on, I'm face to face with Lacey. I'm 5'5".
God this song is so nostalgic. Middle school me thought he was so edgy listening to this and wearing a black hoodie 😂
I was the same way until i found out that they were a christian band so i was like "I'm not edgy... I'm holy!"

I always thought Flyleaf and Lacuna Coil were the better alternative bands with female singers. Lacuna Coil was a little heavier. Both great. Also check out Tsunami Bomb and Wicked Wisdom. The singer of Wicked Wisdom is Jada Pinkitt, wife of Will Smith. They're surprisingly very good. Start with Bleed Over Me.
this song was featured on the film "Live Free or Die Hard' because the actor Justin Long was obsessed with the song!
This album is top tier. I really hope they put out a new album now that Lacey is back with them.

The first time I heard this was in Die Hard 4 and it immediately grabbed my attention.

This is one of the few songs I've ever heard that is better live than the studio version.
