    One of Canada's longest-running fishing shows, Fish'n Canada travels from coast to coast in search of trophy fishing opportunities. First started by brothers Angelo and Reno Viola in 1986, The Fish’n Canada Show has been on the air for over 30 years. Today, Angelo is joined by lifelong fishing buddy, Peter Bowman, and the pair continue to travel across Canada educating anglers using the experience they’ve gained over the years

    OMG- I came across this video checking out Lake Trout fishing , the kind of fishing I did in 1993.
    And when the guys got to the lodge ,I couldn’t believe it but there was Urs who I met in 1993 at his lodge . From outside Philadelphia to way up in Canada was about 4 planes to his place .
    I went out of the float plane and we landed in the middle of nowhere . An Inuit Indian was our guide and took us around in the aluminum boat . It stayed light 24 hrs a day , and they had shacks where you could sleep .
    No fish finders in 1993 , or at least I didn’t have one , but it was a blast . Now at age 62, I’ll have to plan another trip with my son in the next few years . Urs will probably still be there with his Distinctive German Accent .

    Pete kills me! That is a bass fisherman to the tee. You can take the bass fisherman away from the bass but you can't take that hookset out of the bass fisherman! Every time he hooks up he tries to yank that fish right into the boat.

    Northern Rockies Large are rediculas for what they charge for a fly in. They are easily 3X the cost that any other float plane services charge. Unfortunately they are the only service in that immediate area

    Boys-Great episode! Can you tell me what type of rods your using? Are these the Carrot Stix series?

      Hey Matt, thanks for commenting. As well thanks for the footage you shot for our Muskie Challunge episode, it was fantastic! Yes those are Carrot Stix and they handled those big Lakers nicely. Not sure as to the availability of Carrots now as the ownership of the company changed over a bit ago. We still have a few C Stix's and use them quite frequently. I used an 8' Swimbait rod on that Striper show I shot right after I left you guys last fall, love that rod!! Take care bud and keep up the great work.

      Pete-Glad the footage worked out and really appreciate your team raising the profile of the fishery. I'll check online and see if they're still around. Thinking of using a bright coloured rod for trolling to stand out better against dark water. Safe travels and you guys have a great Easter weekend!

    BIG Lakers and Dollies in Shuswap Lake. Not so far to travel but, timing critical.
    This may take over when the salmon are extinct. Soon...
    Ft Nelson? YIKES. Sat at a rig in that 'hood a few years ago. Now I know what it looks like defrosted...

    You guys are too close to the bison, a common tourist mistake. You’re putting your hands in the gills before releasing the trout, why not investigate the proper handling of fish to be released? These large lakers take a long time to grow and should be treated with the respect they deserve, they’re a resource for all of us.

    • @okanaganoutdoors

      How else would you hold a big lake trout? Genuinely curious as I watch lots of videos of fishing guides holding them this way and I if there was a better way I think they would practice it because the last thing they want to do is ruin a lake that makes them their living

  • @Daniel-ow2gk
    @Daniel-ow2gk 4 года назад +3

    Lake trout are in literally every single big lake from the far south to north to east to west of BC... Surprising a fishing host doesn't do that basic level of research
