FAQ:
1. Should I add a preservative to the Herbal infused Hair Butter?
Answer: No and Yes, depends
Reason: Avoid putting wet hands into the jar. Use a wooden spoon. Once water is introduced to the product, it is contaminated and will grow bacteria, mold, etc. If you can avoid water getting in to the product, then you are safe and do not need a preservative. This product will last as long as the shelf life of your ingredients. When it comes to oils and butters, the shelf life is usually 12 months or more.

I would love to win the stand mixer, I was actually looking to buy one because I don't have it. About a year ago I got a horrible short layer haircut at a salon by the owner, I tried styling it different ways nothing worked every single style I made you could tell that I had a horrible choppy short disconnected layers. I have to wait 2 more years for it to grow a proper length.
I became depressed because all my life I had long hair and it became who im.I know some people say it's just hair not the end of the world, but to me it's not just that it's what makes me feel feminine and beautiful and It takes me lots of time and money to grow it healthy and strong.
I became obsessed with making home remedies oils, butters and indian herbs. Searching on RUclips for remedies i discovered your channel I fell in love with it I subscribed and I even bought your hair butter I'm so in love with. After using your butter and diy oils that I made my hair is growing, I even grow herbs for hair growth such as mint, rosemary and lavander to infuse or make them as a rinse. I even gave some butters and oils to some of my friends and they end up loving it.
I will open an etsy account to sell my different remedies oils and butter it inspired me to help other people. I've been diy-ing for years so a stand mixer would really kick my game up a notch and take it to the next level. I've also made conditioning butters and love how soft and smooth my hair felt afterwards so I know I would love yours. I'm high porosity so my hair appreciates the sealant qualities of butters which helps me retain length.
I’ve been making DIY hair and skin products for 1.5 years now, because I struggled suddenly with extremely dry high porosity hair. To solve the problem I started experimenting with making my own products. Believe or not, your DIY avocado deep conditioner was the FIRST thing I ever made back in 2019 and my oh my it made my hair so soft! I’ve since been writing a lot of my own recipes yet I don’t have all of the proper equipment to make things in bulk (I *did* want to sell the products as a little side gig). I gift oils to my friends on birthdays and holidays but have not branched out beyond that because of how big a task like this is without the right tools. Having the stand mixer could help solve that!

I would use the stand mixer to FINALLY start my treat business again. I started years ago and lost my motivation. But, last year I started testing things out again and plan on giving it a try again. I have a lot of health issues and during the pandemic, I began looking at your videos for inspiration and began making my own Diy lotion, body butters, etc, which I have been giving as gifts to my friends and family who have been my support community. It has been the one thing that helps with my anxiety and stress. Even just watching your videos have been very soothing for me whilst I was recovering from COVID. The stand mixer would assist me a great deal because I would not have to stand up and mix my, which is difficult to do since I have joint pains after COVID. I can make bigger batches for thank you gifts.

It was a blessing to come across your channel. I am currently working on my skincare, body care, and hair line but have to mix everything by hand. I started this line because my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and everything that she used on her skin burned her. I started doing research and noticed that ALOT of the products we use are laden with heavy carcinogens and cancerous parabens and carcinogens. I also lost a close family member who had skin cancer. In my research, I have found that more and more African-Americans are being diagnosed with skin cancer. This is one of the main reasons I have decided to start an all-natural body care line.
Love this DIY. I've been considering purchasing a stand mixture for awhile. Not only will the stand mixture look lovely in my kitchen but it will be a great addition to my tools of the trade, and it will allow more time efficient creations and productivity would increase (large batches woo oooh look). I love my stick blender but it's not optimum in trying to make large batches of anything.

Hi Yaya! I've been subscribed and following you for quite some time now. I love how you infuse all natural hair and body products with some emulsifiers and such to take it up another level which I feel makes it more nourishing and on par with the typical manufactured products. Honestly, I have not been able to buy the emulsifiers and such to try them as you do. I've been making mines with purely natural ingredients but I find your take on adding chemistry/manufacturing grade aspects to natural products and keeping it pure fascinating. I intend to buy some of your favourite additions to try it out myself in the future. As for the stand mixer, it would be amazing to have this to use it in helping me make products for myself and possibly starting a business out of it because people keep asking me what I use and would like to try what I make. Presently, I whisk my butters by hand. I am from and live in the Caribbean so in recent years I've gotten into making my own care products due to the expense of these products to purchase. I should note I've always kept some element of natural ingredients because of the way my mother and grandmother loved using pure natural oils and ingredients like castor oil, coconut oil, hibiscus and cactus. I also, went into making my own care products in recent years because I found that everything I bought in the store were never nourishing enough to help me retain as much length and healthy ends as I wish, and would eventually end up irritating my scalp or creating buildup when I don't use it more than twice a week in my hair. I found out that I had eczema in my scalp so I just tried my best to make own DIY products and try to select the most natural ones I can find at the store when I don't have time to make my own stuff. In short, I'm a fan who is still learning and playing with natural ingredients to take more holistic pure care of myself and my loved ones. I am interested in taking your chemistry approach whilst keeping them pure and natural. I intend to make the investment in buying these ingredients and more natural ingredients to keep trying to find the best natural ingredients combinations. I am not big on social media so I don't have Instagram or twitter. I don't tend to like videos much on RUclips either as it never occurs to me to do that but I have tons of videos saved in my special playlist for DIY hair. Since watching I've completely fallen in love with shea butter....It helps my skin SO much and I've been trying it mixed with other oils in my hair to...I've also mixed a little undereye mix I love and made some for family and friends. But I have rheumatoid arthritis so holding a hand mixer or mixing by hand doesn't work very well. I'm unable to help my husband in full time work due to my health, so thats not fun...and he's been out ofnwork most of this year despite killing himself trying....so I hate being such a drain on him....he'd never say that, thats just my own worry 🥴
But I'd love to maybe have a small business with hair and skin care. I'm nothing special nor talented like you, but something small would feel amazing. You inspire so many people, I doubt you know how much help you are in return :)

My love for DIY started back in 2013. I was sooo excited and thought I have found the holy grail. After years of practice and tests of my creations on myself and many, MANY fails, I developed a range of products I often DIY for myself and family. I was proud that I could prepare something by myself and use it, I used to think to myself : wouldn't it be great if I could open a small business, would anyone want to buy my products... but I was too scared to take a chance on myself and never considered it seriously (I might have had a chance, the market wasn't as saturated as today lol) until last year. It's been months since I am ordering new ingredients and testing different new things BUT I haven't started yet. May be the mixer would make things more closer and give me the push I need. One of my favorite things to prepare is body butter and the horse power ingredient of my DIY is argan oil, I am lucky to have access to pure, organic argan oil from its birth place. So glad you upgraded to the Kitchen Aid stand mixer. 🙌🏾 I watched some of your videos in the past and was thinking "She should get a KitchenAid to make her creating process easier." I've had mine for over 10 years. Still going strong! Absolutely Love It! 💜 I initially bought it to make my life easier in the kitchen. Mixing up heavy cookie dough was making my arms sore for days after. But, I started using it for everything else when making food recipes. Then, two years ago, I started making DIY hair and body recipes. I was so grateful that I had my KitchenAid stand mixer. Watching all the RUclips Natural Hair creators use a hand mixer was giving me concern for their hands and arms. You need a lot of strength and endurance to get the butters light and fluffy. They must've been tired standing there for 15 minutes! I truly believe that everyone should have a KitchenAid stand mixer if they make any DIY products, be it for personal use or for sale to the public. I've been using a hand mixer and following some of your recipes. The hand mixer works okay but a stand mixer will definitely take my end product to a different level. I would use it for my bubble bath bars, bodys butter essentially. it would be a huge help to make my bussiness more efficient and not wasting so much time whipping. also my arm would hurt less from holding it up for so long! haha . i had a cheap hand mixer when i first started and wasn't strong enough so it broke in the middle of making body butter and my husband had to go get me a new one. with bubble bath bars is really hard to mix bc it's like a dough consistency and the handmixer is definetly not strong enough for it. this would be a life changer for sure! also i would LOVE to try your hair conditioning hair butter!

I have a illness that causes me to loose my hair and I searched for help and your diy shampoo made the difference I use to wash my hair and then look down and have a hair carpet in the bottom of the tub but since I found you I am now a subscriber and I want to try your butter next as soon as the herbs come in I have blotchy skin and I live in a place we're I am not accepted so I am judge and having hair is my crown and I walk proud with it thank you for helping me keep it.
Hi Yaya love you videos. Your diy leave in conditioner videos helped me to experiment with making my own leave in. I have tired products from the store which are expensive in price and never really moisturize my hair like I want it too. I would use the stand mixer to formulate a good leave in conditioner, hair gel, & hair cream for myself/family & small business. Hi Yaya! DIYing is something I started a few years ago after experiencing heat damage. I’m constantly being asked what I use or if I can make some for others. Didn’t think I would have a large clientele however, after my recent rinse that took my curls to a million, I’ve been getting tons of messages from people wanting to be testers and wanting to buy some. Hi, I'm Manange a first time beginner young woman who's capture by art and LOVE to created a gift transforming with my hands. Mixing all the ingredients with my hands was great at some point ,but didn't last for long. I been natural for along time but struggle on what to apply on my hair...but never quit!!!! So, I started to add all natural products to my hair ,but still struggle LOL...until I came cross you. You allowed me to open my dreams again to know it's not about me but its everyone who can be introduced by their inner beauty curling their way to the top with God natural sources. After watching you I knew I was going to the right path. Supplies and materials unfortunately needed to be postponed several times because not having any equipment to make them because of the pain in my hands while mixing the products. I'm starting a second line to my business and a stand mixer would really help me accomplish this goal. I also am teaching my husband the skin care line. With two of us crowded trying to use hand mixers and such a stand mixer would elevate our business by reducing the stress level. We could get much more done efficiently, lol!

I would use the mixer to help start my natural hair products business. I've got a small immersion blender that my mom got from the casino a couple years back. It really helped me up my game in terms of what I could create but I know this stand mixer will help me make larger batches and scale up. It'd be much appreciated & honestly would help so much. Buying all the necessary equipment can get expensive when you don't have start-up cash & don't need another loan on your back. First let me say that I truly enjoy your videos. The information that you share is priceless to me. I would use the stand mixer to whip my body butter. At this time, after my process is complete, I use the mixer that is small and hand held. I am getting a little older and the last time I did this process it left my right hand in pain. So I would utilize the stand mixer for whipping the body butter. Wishing everyone blessings!
I used those dried herbs with sunflower oil. I put half the herbs in a freezer bag and added the oil, seal bag and put it in my cabinet until needed. I use it alone or as a treatment in a thick conditioner w/ cap and heat.
I love baking, especially with my grand kids but about two ago my mixer broke so this would be a big help. Thanks
I've had scalp issues my whole life and my hair used to fall out when I was little so I started experimenting diy herbal solutions (just daily spritzes and teas to mix into my store bought conditioners) and my hair and scalp became so healthy! I'm not a small business though so good luck to my business ladies out there working on their dream!

I have been a follower of yours for a while now. You inspired me so much in starting my natural care products. First of all you are amazing and your videos inspire me to think outside of the box. If I win, I would use the mixer to create products in honor of my late grandmother. I spent years helping her in the kitchen and her stand mixer was her pride and joy. After her passing my cousin took her mixer and afterwards I just couldn't look at another stand mixer without tearing up. For me it's more than just a mixer...it represents love and unity. I started DIY-ing because I couldn't find products that worked for my Type 4 hair. You have since inspired me to make a variety of DIYs and even start my own YT channel. I've always been that go to person for hair and have been toying with the idea of starting a hair product business for years! I love hair but because of fear of failure and niggling feelings that everything has to be perfect and several pre-conditions have to be met before I do it has led to inaction. Learning to start from where I am has been a huge theme especially in the past year, I have seen how just going for it and being consistent has changed my life so winning this mixer and a scrummy hair butter would be the tool I want and need to just get on with it! I never really thought that I start creating my own beauty line. But since COVID and my extreme drug reaction, it has been my mission to use only natural products. I currently battle lichen planus which has always been in my system, it just needed a light to start it. In addition to this drug reaction that I was on (clinical trial) it has left balds spots on my head and it's very thin and weak. So the doctors once again wanted me to take more drugs to battle what has happened to my skin and to my hair. I refused!!! I've been doing some homemade soaps and hair butters, but after much trial and error, my little mixer died on me. Haven't had the ump to get another one as good old hand mixing is doable.
Winning this mixer would be a blessing as I can continue to find the right products that'll be best for my skin and hair. This has been a battle and I'm not giving up.

Hey Yaya!! The stand mixer would help me tremendously with starting my body butter line. I have been formulating for a while now with a hand mixer. A stand mixer would be a God sent, to help me make large batches. I have people requesting my body butter but it can be physically painful for making small batches over and over. If I had the stand mixer, I can make large batches in no time and keep consistent results! ❤️❤️
Oh my word. I’ve been making soap for the past two years trying to get it down so I can start a business. I also make lotion, bath bombs, chap stick, and candles. Having a stand mixer would be the icing on top because I could make bigger batches of everything so I have plenty of product when I do launch which will be very shortly.
