      @@emjay313yeah but I challenge you to find words in the English dictionary where “L” is ignored, especially after a vowel and before a consonant. Some say “whistle” (even though I said b4 a vowel and after a consonant lol) but the L isn’t ignored but has purpose without it it’s just Whist. The L in salmon serves no purpose at all yet it’s there.
      Salmon stands alone in this strange phenomenon that everyone just accepts.
      I change the pronunciation of Salmon when I’m in areas that do say the “L”. I don’t judge them for it. English is trash.
