I find it easier to undo the sway bar links at either end, only one bolt each side. Also since the sway bar links limit the suspension travel more than the standard shock, you can fit longer links (up to 30mm longer, maximum) to give you better articulation. Without longer links you won't get any benefit from longer shocks ; )

I'm looking for a suspension upgrade to my 2009 prado 120. Everyone around me say that I should get Old Man kit. But my impression is that Dobinsons are very good (And they cost 30% cheaper). I would really appreciate if you could tell me the difference based on your experience.

The sway bar must have been a bit heavy.......😂😂
How about the bump stops? Do those slide onto the new coils?
Plenty helpful, spewing I’m converting the air spring on my grande to coil.
Be very careful even partially jacking up a live axle with a trolley jack etc with vehicle on hoist, the trolley jack can slide out and the sudden movement can jar the vehicle off the hoist legs and next thing the car is falling off the hoist.
