    Great rain test video. You live in the absolutely perfect location for the ultimate rain test. This tent is a real disappointment for rain worthiness. The engineers need to go back to the drawing board with many parts of design and production. Thanks so much for the work you do for us folks looking for truthful info on tents and equipment.

      Hey again Denis! I'm really glad that you liked the rain test video 🥰 And yeah!! I think I was just lucky though to test these at the right time (nearer the end of the year with much more rain). I actually recently did more testing on more tents, and right now I'm going through a dry spell 😅 Waited for weeks for good rain, and none came 😅 And yeah for sure, this isn't great for rain at all 👎

    Awesome test from right out of the box. No matter what tent I buy. I spend the time to seal all seams and scotch guard all material. Takes time but gives the best results of not leaking. Great video!!! Thanks. I really do like the tests of the vents!! Helps a lot!!

      Thank you so much! I'm really glad that the tests are helpful! 🥰 Sadly this tent isn't going to do well in rain despite all the seam taping and spraying haha. The design is just off 😅

    So glad i changed my mind and bought the Teton instead... both you and TheOutdoorGearLab said the similar things.

    Few tents can handle pooling. It didn't leak from the floor? Wow!

    • @CampingGuidance
      @CampingGuidance  9 месяцев назад

      Yeah!!! Surprisingly! I was half expecting it to leak through the corners or something. But to be fair this isn't the heaviest rain I've tested tents in, so maybe if the rain was heavier/flooding was worse then it could have leaked 😅

    In your opinion, Do you think Alps Mountaineering Lynx 2 would survive this kind of rain?
    Nevermind, you tested it on other video 😅

      Hey Gudang! (Hope I didn't get your name wrong) Did you manage to get what you were looking for in the Alps rain test? 😀

    i have a hyke and byke yosimite tent, i noticed if i dont have it all staked out tight water will splash from the outside of the tent and splash inside its also too shallow , unfortunatly the yosimite does not have vents so there is condensation on it

    • @CampingGuidance
      @CampingGuidance  2 месяца назад +1

      Oh yeah same here with my experience, the flooring was way too shallow to protect from water splashing inside. Thank you so much for giving me the input on the Yosemite too though! Now I know how to buy it 😅

    Some questionable design choices were made for this tent, especially the floor. Hope they improve in version 2 because the vision seems to be good. BTW, I like the new intro and logo👍

      Haha yeah questionable choices indeed 😅 I guess we'll see what happens in a few years! And thanks for your feedback as well! It means a lot that you like the intro and logo 🥰 I actually finally managed to get someone else onboard to work on these videos (previously it was all just me), so we're experimenting with a few new things here and there. Not sure if the new intro and logo will stick for now, but I really appreciate you telling me! 🥰

      @@CampingGuidance Congrats, on expanding your team. For some reason your vids didn't show up immediately in my feed and I found them when I went through my subs feed. I've checked the bell notification now so that would be an issue. I'm guessing your other subscribers may not be aware of the upload. Maybe do a community post or a short letting them know.

      @@Werkar27 Thank you so much Wer Kar! That's really thanks to all the lovely viewers and subscribers like you 🥰 I never thought this channel would work out, but it's showing great potential. Thanks for checking the bell notification! I usually only notify subscribers of "Best" videos, cos I don't want them to get spammed by all my other videos 😅 Not sure if that's the right way to go about it at the moment hahah 😅 And thanks for the feedback! I think it's quite normal that videos don't show up anymore after some time though, I've heard that happen with other creators on RUclips too. I don't do shorts at the moment but I should definitely start up the community one day 😅

    You let the vents open ahahah!!! Hope you don´t pray like me 🤣
    But manufacturers need to start paying more attention to the finishes because it seems that's where the water gets in. And nowadays, with climate change, you can expect rain at any time, and I can tell you that 😅
