Chris Hemsworth " I don't want to work with mad geniuses anymore" George Miller " Do you want to be in my new Mad Max movie ?" Chris Hemsworth " Yes. Sign me up"
I love that George Miller has these fever dreams that he wakes up from and starts writing. Fury Road is my favorite movie of all time so the hype for this is in orbit.
That's what worries me. CGI and big action packed set pieces have become a fig leaf for weak storylines and shallow characters. Protagonists need to have flaws, idiosyncrasies and make mistakes that carry consequences. Otherwise it's just boring. It's like watching a Cutscene from a videogame. I also hope (but doubt) they'll do a little fan service and add some peculiar Auzzie references, characters and lingo in homage to the series roots.
@@AaronHoustonSuprememost of the big stunts were done using real vehicles and stuntmen, there is a great documentary on yt somewhere detailing how they did it all and it's very interesting
Alot of people forget how much CGI was used in fury road. A tone of car stunts and explosions were practical but fury road had it fair share as well. Like the beginning where he is swinging on the chains I'm the citadel or backdrops, skyboxes, and a few explosions here and there. I think this looks up to par with fury road with its high contrast and hyper stylized color palette
Ellen Ripley beat up an alien queen while wearing a mech-loader suit & some badass Reeboks, so she's still the GOAT, but Furiosa was indeed a goddamn legend too.
Love mad max and loved fury road super stoked for this but what I loved about those movies were the awesome visuals, how they really made all the cars in fury road and shot majority of the scenes without cgi. This looks like there’s a lot of it and it’s obvious, hope it doesn’t deter from the awesomeness.
@@localuser190actually the budget for this is 40mil more than the last one, you’ll find for this trailer some effects are just place holders till the editing is completed
Visual spectacle! Mad Max: Fury Road is one of the greatest action movies ever made... Frantic, chaotic and beautiful. I couldn’t wait for an expansion of the franchise. The trilogy with Mel Gibson needs no comments, is epic. HABEMUS FURIOSA, and may there be many more with such quality 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
No. Lord Humungus deserves his origin story first. I imagine he was a humble English teacher until the world ended. Suddenly forced into a world gone insane, or Mad if you will, he has to shuck off his humanity in order to survive. Villains aren't born, they are made.
You can see the all-too-apparent CGI overload here. But you can't blame George Miller for it. Too much time passed post Fury Road in legal battles. He would've done this epic if some other idiots hadn't messed up few years back. Still... love for George always.
It's a trailer, so I get that it's cut to be fast paced and exciting, but I hope there's enough pace change for tension. The original films created tension through distance and separation. No instant communications in the wasteland means that you have to travel long distances to spread news. Meeting an individual solo in the middle of nowhere was tense. Having big crowds everywhere, megaphones, sky signals etc, is a very different feeling.
This could be great, I see a lot of potential for the main character to go through a lot of hardship and growth. Hopefully they don't make her just easily wreck everything she comes across or I feel like that'll be a missed opportunity to be a great story.
All I hear AC/DC Thunder lol. In all seriousness though trailer gives me goosebumps especially that shot at the end. So epic, can not wait to watch this 50 times.
Love it. Only thing I'm not feeling is the song match up for this trailer. I think it's a missed opportunity. I think there was a much better pairing to be had. Other than that it's 🔥
I never understood the hype over her character i mean there way better characters but this looks sick for the fact it hasn't lost the mad max touch but the coolest thing is the fact its got so many things from the video game and it really ties all the stories together
Wow, profoundly disappointed about the level of CG on display here. Looks extremely video gamey. That having been said the Mad Max video game was great. What a bummer! Also, the tag line should have been “Witness Her”. What a wasted opportunity.
I noticed it as well. A lot of the car shots seem practical and look like Fury Road, but strangely many of the dialogue shots seem to be filmed with greenscreens and rather terrible CG backrounds. I hope this will change for the final movie. Fury Road had CG, too, of course, but looked almost flawless. Makes the whole atmosphere.
I love the Mad Max series. But surely they fked up the timeline here.. it say 45 years after the fall. So young furiossa, 45 years after..... wouldn't that make Max in Fury Road like, 70 or 80 years old?
Possibly intentional. Miller has always looked at Max as a folk hero, stories passed down over generations... so while the character may have actually lived, all the stories in which he appears might not actually have involved him, they just became attributed to him. A legend that became bigger than life.
This timeline is so far gone now. "45 years after the collapse"? So the Collapse happened, you might recall, around the time of The Road Warrior, starring 25-year-old Mel Gibson. This is *45* years later, meaning Fury Road is an additional 10 or so after that. Therefore, Tom Hardy as Max was meant to be playing an 80-year-old man. I've heard all the stuff about how Max is just a "campfire story," but this is ridiculous. One of the great qualities of the original trilogy was how consistent it was between films. That is completely lost now.
They should have started from the beginning or maybe soon after the "Collapse" like the older movies ,, id say this 1 will be much like Fury Road only even more fast paced
- 2024 - * Dune: Part Two * Joker: Folie à Deux * Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga * Gladiator 2 * Nosferatu * Beetlejuice II * Mickey 17 * Untitled Jordan Peele Project * A Quiet Place: Day One * Deadpool 3 * The Bikeriders * The Crow * Challengers * Alien: Romulus * Captain America: Brave New World * Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes * Terrifier 3

Wait teen Furiosa 45 years after the collapse. So 15 years or so later when she meets Max he would of been what 80. Looked petty good didn't he
That’s kinda the problem with the Tom Hardy Mad Max, he’s around his 30s in the movie. Even though he should be 80.
