I remember we used to live in a joint family and we had a uncle who had a VCR rent shop. So we all cousins (15 or so) at a time used to watch all good movies on VCR for free on sundays. This is one of the movies we enjoyed a lot watching. We used to cheer and shout during the cycling race. Memories flashing in my mind. Those were the days. I miss them😊
Exactly abhishked rent of video casseste was expensive that time 15 to 20 and who had vcr that time we used yo think oh man the person who had vcr was rich person vce was expensive thqt time hehe lol
These original pieces of the 90s...no remixes, no item songs, no sex, no extravagant thrills...just pure movie making! Its still oven fresh! My childhood love JJWS!
To be honest... Deepak was the best actor in the movie... He acted so well that we started hating him.. I wanted him to get beaten... But that proves how well he acted and gave total justification to his role. One of the best negative role in bollywood. 👏
remembers me my great unforgettable childhood, when i was just 11 in 1992 i watch this movie on VCR i think that was 1992 april or may then i watch it again and again and again WOW what a days.
M Baloch i watched this movie in year 2002 when i was 10 years old after that i became used to of pahla nasha aur tiltle track Jo jeeta wahi sikandar.. seriously wonderful movie.. n Title track is in my alarm.. the 😀
mein bhi isi umra mein tha. haa vcr ka time tha. koi doosra party cassette lekar chala gaya tha hamne poocha kab aayega order abhi se le lo. ek aadmi video library ke paas chodh kar rakhte they jaisey hi cassette aaye lekar aao. woh time internet ka toh tha nahi aaj agar yeh film release hoti toh piracy ki bheth chadh jaati.
Epic scene when Mamik who always avoids fights comes pushing away others to protect his younger brother and fights the goons... Still gives goose bumps
mamik was selected bcuz of his good body & height. he got popularity from this JJWS & later went on to do lots of films eventually retiring in 2000s & focussing on his travel business.
Everyone talks about “Pehla Nasha,” but my favorite song from the film, and one of my all-time favorites, is “Rooth Ke Humse Kahin”. It’s such a lovely ode to the bond between siblings. (Also, I didn’t realize that 20-something Farah Khan looked a lot like her cousin Zoya Akhtar.)
Mamik is a pure gentle man...although he's been called on stage earlier but left his spot for others...and ended up being at the end of the row...but he's the real SIKANDER here!! Being the wiser he knows the real value of letting others win even though the spot was fixed for him...and it's coming from a Muslim.
@marchinggiant2423 Well I guess many of those who read your comment pretty much noticed that thing.. Simply if this was a "Christian thing, a Hindu thing, a Sikh thing, or 'any other' thing", no one would've said "it's coming from a "Hindu/Sikh/Christian".. This is why.. Now it doesn't mean if you would not have stated it in the end you would've shown less respect to your religion.. Still not saying what you said was wrong, but was simply unnecessary where the religion was no where close to the point of context of what you were saying..
Watched it in 1992 may during my 2 months school vacation. Aamir, Deepak, Aysha, Mamik, pooja. It was unforgettable days with the climax of the movie was memorable.
Watched this movie an hour back for the 100th time. It just doesn’t get old. Shekhar Malhotra was my first crush😅. I’ll always blush at the mention of Shekhar ‘s name
I watch this movie every three months or so and cry Over the same scenes over and over again. Shekhar Malhotra from Rajput college was my first crush. Still blush when I see him onscreen after 25 years 😁
This film will always be classic and gives a teenager feeling in terms of love, competition, friendship, simplicity, passion, desire, song,....will love it as this song pahla nasha was my ringtone in Delhi university days...times fly...i will die recalling those moments♥️♥️♥️♥️🙏🙏🙏✌️✌️
I watched pehla nasha song first in 1998, its remix. A small boy in school acting on it with an ice-cream in his hand to share with a girl. I was just 7 then.
i was only of 3 yrs when dis movie got released..... i watched it first in our Local Cable channel in the year 1997 april month it was as i still remember.... and the nxt day i jst called the cablewala and requested him to telecast it one more time..... so in this way i got addicted to this cult movie.....
I just remembered mamik Singh was also in saif Ali Khan & pretty zinta's Kiya kehna film, so jo jeeta was not his only 1 film that he had done in his film career.
This movie is so close to my heart . Makes me feel nostalgic . Brings back those old school days when me and bro watched it on cable channel and never missed one scene ! Especially the cycle race .. those were the days !
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this film. I remember the first 6-12 months of college... Pehla Nasha was the ONE song that would blast from EVERY hostel window on campus.... EVERY single day.. morning and night!!! Great memories... !!!
The movie "jo jeeta "had a special place in heart to all those who were a student in that era. You can sometimes hear a song, even can sing it but some songs and the lyrics are there to smell ..like a booming fresh flowers. Pehla nasha got that feel ....As they could reconnect you to your own good times....Majestic actors, correlations everything perfect. Just watch the movie and you won't be able to tell whether the tears in your eyes are because of love, affection, your never ever give away attitude or the relation between the son and a father..Hats off to the entire cast who may have imparted lot more values in others life.... hope the smell of it may never die....
This takes me back to my childhood. What a wonderful film, the likes of which will never be made again. Every character brought something special to the role, it dealt with so many themes and the music was beautifully crafted. I wish I would go back in time and experience this movie for the first time, again.
I am from Pakistan , to be very honest i am so happy to see all legend stars back on tv show...i pray to god , that all these actors may live long life...Love from Pakistan..
Deepak Tijori is the most underrated actor. Many hit movies in 90s wouldn't be that successful without him in the movie.
Example aashiqui and many more
He can be a chad and he can be comic relief. What a versatile actor.
Sadak also
❤😂two ✌2⃣actors are missed in ❤this ❤star ⭐ cast dev mukherji and asrani also.
Correct 💯
कितना ही अच्छा होता यदि एक हिंदी फिल्म के बारे में चर्चा हिंदी भाषा में होती

To be honest... Deepak was the best actor in the movie... He acted so well that we started hating him.. I wanted him to get beaten... But that proves how well he acted and gave total justification to his role. One of the best negative role in bollywood. 👏

Me watching this video today and singing Pehla Nasha early morning, what a coincidence!
Mine also.

Marching Giant wow well said and a bang on observation. still remember how beautifully he portrayed the role of aamir's elder brother !
Marching Giant That’s really true
Dont like how aamir is behaving.
@Rangeela Rasool and if you were better, neutral or didn't have any other ideas, then you could've simply avoided it without raising a flag...
@marchinggiant2423 Well I guess many of those who read your comment pretty much noticed that thing..
