Another great product of Castle Creations, I just thought of pulling my MMX8s esc from my XO-1 and putting in this new Cobra 8 esc then reusing my older MMX8s in my new Arrma Felony i just got today just before 4th of July. Both will have 1717 sensored 1,650kv motors and knowing that the Cobra 8 can handle a bigger and heavier car with a more powerful 1721 motor yet still runs cool. I'm sold on this esc for my XO-1 i never intended to go 8s with it anyways.
I enjoyed watching this compared to my gloomy side of the skies!!😂

@@cloudpandarism2627 lol appreciate that, I did try 4k and it killed the GoPro super quick. Overheated as well. Have to invest in a new camera not from GoPro in order to do better quality I'm sick of GoPro. Absolutely junk! 1440/60 is probably the best medium all around
@@InnovationRC 4k60 is. but 2k will do until you have something new. and it should also not overheat on that mode.
and yes. i sold all my gopro stuff for that exact reason. if you wanna film hassle free and comfortable get a DJI action 4. i got 2 of them and love it. sooo much better than the freezing stuttering crashing gopro crap. there are some clips up. see for yourself. cheers mate

I like it a lot of people are disappointed because they thought it was gonna be a 12s application. What I got out of the video smaller footprint powerhouse 6s esc with great fine tuned cryo-drive. I loved the video good stuff innovation RC! Nice @castle creations
Thank you! I think people want 12s just to say they run 12s. In all reality, 8s is an insane amount of power when paired with the right batteries. 12s is just torque output that will snap axles, twist driveshafts etc. I get why 12s could be good but I've thought for years whoever needs that much voltage is doing something wrong... There are guys running 1/5 Kratons over 110 mph with a single 8s motor setup!
@@InnovationRC yes sir it’s to say look at the 12s I’m hitting 140s on 6s setup and still trying to tame and dial in my 8s 1721-2400 limitless drag setup!

Absolutely yes, you can really run many different setups, gear it for around 60-70 mph and it should be decent for bashing. Look at a bone stock Arrma Infraction. Does 60-65 out of the box to bash with, that's what you'd want inside a limitless to just play around with
Dang I thought a 12s was coming out!! That's it I'm making my felony into an off roader!!! All I need is knobbies and discard all the carbon splitters and I'm going off road I already have a castle system in it

I’m finding that I can get a mamba monster 8s for around the same price. Is there any reason to take this over the MM8s?
Different tuning options. If you are definitely never running 8s, then the Cobra is a definite choice.
I sent out 2 pairs of dual typhoons broken fans to game changer that I purchased less than a year prior and it took him 2 months to ship them back out. Also sent him the regulator that he sells for $65 and never returned it back. So he pretty much Stole my regulator and charged me half price for the “new” V2 version of his typhoon fans. I kept messaging him on eBay asking about it and never got a response back. I would never recommend anyone buying his fans.
Cooling fans started getting expensive for me as they would break under high speed crashes.
I did lots of research and found the issue with why they are so fragile. The motor wires are tiny! I think they’re 24 or maybe even 26 gauge. This makes it the weak link.
I found an Etsy seller that used high speed fans with aluminum bodies and beefy 20 gauge silicone wire.
I tried upgrading the graveyard of cooling fans I had with heavier gauge wire but I don’t have the tools to solder using a magnifying glass so I realized I had to find the PN on the beefy fans I found.
@@tkostang yeah I was really hyped when I first got them and my wires ripped off within a couple months. Better to just get a big heat sink with a small fan 35x35 protek fan and give the motor & esc a few mins to cool down with one of those hand held face you use on ur face that they sell on eBay for $15

Are you sure thats a 1721? thought they were much too long to fit in the stock motor mount.
1721 fits in the stock motor mount. Being it's a 17 series it utilizes the same motor end cap and bolt mounting positions like a 1717 1650kv motor does
@@InnovationRC the 1721 is over 100mm long and the 1717 is only 85mm long and just barely squeezes in. What am I not getting here?

I promise I'm not trying to be that guy but exactly how is this better than the new Hobbywings? Their newest Max 5, 6,8, &10 are pretty great. Is it the data logging capability of this that's better? I'm legitimately interested.
I will say Castle has always had more great features over Hobbywing. Except this is a next gen esc replacing the older Mamba Monster X. This esc compared to the Hobbywing max 8 (it's direct competitor), can handle way more power, efficiently too.
Here's what I'll say, if your doing basic playing or bashing Hobbywing is great. If you want to break records, go Castle...
