Did you feel any need to adjust head weight? I believe most arm lock putters have a head weight of about 400g. With my DIY arm lock conversions I found that having a putter with adjustable head weight was really helpful for me to get a good feel for lag putts.

Awesome video AJ. Although I don’t use one, I love the arm lock style putter especially that grip which I believe Evenroll was the first company to design that style grip. Yeah left hand low is the way too go especially with an armlock. I’ve been putting left hand low since the early 90’s !
What I don’t understand how the broomstick style putter isn’t banned entirely. Yes it’s allowed as long as the butt end is not touching your body (chest) but it’s a pendulum motion and takes out your hands entirely out from the stroke !

Isn't one of the big perks of the SIK and Cobra armlocks the descending face technology along with a maximum upright lie angle. Seems like pretty important aspects of correct armlock putting to ensure straight back straight through putting ? Simply extending a 34" 2 ball putter 6 inches would probably cause the toe to dig in ?

AJ, I see by the time/month stamp on my previous comment that eight months have gone by since watching this video. So now I have a question in regards to ( wrist lock putter grips ), do you know if the slant of the shaft bore hole is angled to the side the same as the Arm Lock putter grips, so as to not need a loft adjustment. I have a Maltby lie/loft machine with ability to adjust putters on it, so want your opinion and maybe a new video on wrist lock putter grips being installed and used. Thanks for any reply, love your instruction videos in/on all golf related stuff...

@@EFGMC Being inventive ??? I tried the old ( shine a flashlight ) down the vent hole of the top of the grip, then looked into the bottom end. The placement of the shaft goes straight into the extreme right edge of the grip, as seen from the players view looking down toward the putter head. The left side of the top end of the grip that bulges left toward the left wrist and therein fits snugly into the left wrist. Where I live in mid west Illinois the weather looks to let me play this coming Sunday, I'll put the grip on tomorrow with a three inch extension and give it a try then. Thank you so much for your reply.

The instructions on their web site (for the AL 2 grip) says "The grip should be installed so that the logo faces out towards the ball." I don't think their wording is very good at all. I sent a question to their support people. However, the picture on the instructions show the logo facing the putter head, which makes sense, they would want their logo to face forward like that. I'm installing the AL 3 grip this weekend. I don't think they updated the instructions for the AL 3 grip but I suspect the instructions would be the same as the AL 2 grip.

It also had two 20 removable weights in the head... After installing a shaft extension do you suggest adding this much weight back into the butt of the putter? I stopped using it last summer and went back to my Red 7 Putter, so I figured the Ten would be a good one to try this with.

It's based on the size of your putter's current shaft. If you can measure with some calipers the inside diameter you will know for sure. Irons have pretty much all gone to .600 shafts these days, putters you can still get some with a .580 size. Other option just get one of each size as they are cheap.

Take your current clubs, choke down 1 inch and go play them. If they feel light then you will want to add some weight. If you like the feel then you won't need to change.
Lead tape is the easiest method to add weight but if you don't like the look, tungsten powder down the shaft would be next easiest.
