all deaths in this war will be sad ones, since the soldiers on the front lines are also the ones who never wanted to fight the war in the first place. Russia literally has to resort to weaponizing vodka to keep their soldiers numb to the situation they’re in, because if they were sober they probably would fight even worse under the full reality of their situation.

What I am trying to say is unlike Ukrainians who are simply defending themselves, Russian want to kill Ukrainians, 70% of Russian society supports the war, you must understand nazi's are all evil, there are no "decent" nazi , so unless your saying some nazi are not bad people (I would argue that all nazi are evil) then I would say you are wrong .

@@LeonKakashi If a large portion of conscripts are inmates from prisons then I would think fighting would be a better alternative. More over there are Russian units called ''blocking units'' in Ukraine that will kill any Russian soldier that retreats or surrenders. obviously blocking units aren't everywhere but they are still prominent in many places. also killing the commissar would only result in your own execution/imprisonment. and finally fleeing conscription as you should know is highly dangerous. if you get caught you'll just be forced into the frontline anyway. As for they ''all have subpar AKs'' you can literally spend 15 seconds and find tons of images of Russian conscripts using mosin nagants. they are also missing any sort of body armour. most of their uniforms are just winter digi flora coats and not actual combat uniforms. and if they aren't getting a 6b47 helmet it's usually an old soviet era steel helmet without any kevlar or fibres. Basically the average man isn't going to risk getting executed/imprisoned for fleeing conscription nor are they going to take the risk of getting executed by a blocking squad if they retreat/surrender.

    Why is this a tragedy?
    - Because all wars are tragic?
    - Because young people die and their mothers cry, no matter what side they are on, this is tragic?
    - Because the Russian commanders are stupid and don’t care about human lives?
    - Because their deaths are pointless and the pointless killing continues, no matter what?
Sure. All wars are tragic. I fully agree.
On the other hand, all of this could have been avoided, simply by NOT participating in the unprovoked invasion of Ukraine…
The rapper kid could have tried to flee the country. He could have ignored the draft and convince others to do the same. He could have chosen to surrender immediately instead of fighting. He could have chosen not to follow stupid orders. His mother could have talked him out out of it. His mother, friends and relatives could have protested, turned against Putin, turned against the draft.
And now that the “poor guys” (war criminals) are dead, his mother, friends and relatives could protest for peace, for an end to the killing, for a retreat of the army from Ukraine. For civil disobedience to prevent further pointless casualties.
Since none of these actions were taken and still are not being taken, I continue to be APPALLED by the Russian leaders, by the Russian soldiers and by the Russian people.
First, take some responsibility, then, and only then, there can be compassion from my side.

    • @katong1953
      @katong1953 Год назад

@davidblair. Those who brought war most be condemned. That's simple enough. So, Boris Johnson, who as US lapdog emissary, killed the prospective agreement between Russia and Ukraine in April 2022, immediately comes to mind as one who must be condemmed and called to account.
Going further back, the US empire and NATO, both foreign powers, who in collaboration with Ukrainian traitors, overthrew the democratically elected government of Ukraine in 2014, and replaced it with an illegal regime in Kyiv, which immediately banned the Russian language, and set out to persecute Russian speakers, and which events started the Ukraine war, must also be condemned and called to account. Even NATO's idiot secretary-general, Jens Stoltenberg, in a Freudian slip, has confessed that the Ukraine war started in 2014. It's on video, and I've seen it in the Alex Christoforou and Richard Medhurst channels.
What about Vladamir Putin? For 8 long years, he told the people of Donbass to give the Minsk Agreements a chance, which therefore gives the lie to the propaganda that he wanted to recreate the Russian or Soviet empire. The definitve rejection of Russian peace overtures was Blinken's rejection of Lavrov's written proposal in 2021/2022 not to let Ukraine join NATO -- on the filmsy ground that Ukraine as a sovereign nation had the right to join whatever organization it wanted. That may be so, but the US, having promised Russia that NATO would not advance an inch east of a reunited Germany, had the obligation not to allow Ukraine into NATO. But the US was arrogant, haughty and morally bankrupt.
Putin saw barbarians at the gates, and he had to push back. If Ukraine joins NATO, US empire nuclear missiles stationed there would need only about 6 minutes to reach Moscow. Putin had no intention to allow himself or future Russian presidents only 6 minutes to decide whether to end humanity.
And now, we have this report that Russia had sent its troops in human wave attacks in Ukraine. The one thing that has marked Russia's strategy is its care to minimize its own casuslties. At the start of its special military operation, it had only 125,000 troops in Ukraine. So I'm careful about propaganda from Ukraine, the US empire and the west in general. Even today, the west is trying to turn defeat into victory with unrelenting 24/7 propaganda, much of it plucked from the air. The US empire and Europe have lost the Ukraine war. Watch it, the chicken is coming home to roost.

If the United States would allow Ukraine to sit at the table with Russia, I’m sure a peace agreement could be found rather easily! But There have been two or three attempts by the Russians to sit down and discuss this in the United States Biden, and stinking Blinken walked away from the table because they want war they don’t care about the people of Ukraine or the people of Russia they just want war they want to feed the war machine I’m sure they all get a cut of the things that we give you Ukraine you know like the big guy gets 10% think about the Biden family getting 10% of all of the weapons and funds that we give to Ukraine because that’s what’s happening it gets laundered in Ukraine and comes right back to The people who are in charge, we discovered that with the cryptocurrency deal and nobody gives a damn the media doesn’t pick up on it we the people don’t seem to care that this whole thing is a scam and they’re slaughtering the youth of Ukraine and Russia. You realize the average age of Ukrainian soldier is 45 now that means ALL HEALTHY MALES ON BOTH SIDES UNDER 30 ARE NOW DEAD😳
UKRAINE IS NOW USING MEN AND WOMEN UP TO AGE 70 AT THE FRONT😳
It also means that there’s no breeding stock good healthy, breeding stock left alive to rebuild the population of Ukraine, and likely Russia after the war ends!

smiling for the camera dosnt mean they want to kill or whatnot. one day in the future, wars will take place using 2 cell phones, 1 for both commanders lmao
unlimited talk text and internet with no gps on it so they dont kill the other before they talk it out

One man just one man if you can call him that 🤔 responsible for the deaths of thousands of others & destroying the life’s of others. Unbelievable how they can’t take him out.

Hundreds of thousands dead. Many civilians. And several times more maimed.
And a significant proportion of the population supporting Pootin blindly. Like so many do his freind Trump in that country. Some very sick apes out there..

I'm just a dumb civilian. But it's baffling to me that the leadership would send wave after failed wave and making no changes. Even if they care less than zero for the wellbeing of their men. How can they not at least consider that if they just give up personnel and equipment for Ukrainian target practice that they won't achieve their objective that way? I'm not being facetious, I really want to know how they plan to win this way.

my heart bleeds for the victims on both sides of this mad conflict perpetrated by a mad man who just does not care about how many die, or about the mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters and friends of all those killed and injured. he is only interested in his own insane agenda. may a curse be upon him.
