Drill Core is a unique colony sim, combining strategy
with tower defense in a pixelated art style! Manage a
drill platform while extracting resources and fortifying
against monster attacks. Skillfully coordinate worker
units to keep all drilling operations running smoothly,
and be prepared to swiftly adjust your strategy with
every mission!
Each night, monsters will attack the drill platform!
Utilize downtime to mine for resources and discover
new technologies to improve your defense strategy.
Determine whether to focus on constructing barracks
for more workers, investing in cutting-edge drilling
tech to reach the planet’s core, or reinforcing

Looks like those 'egg' blocks are where the enemies come from, they burrow from them to infest one of the other blocks that you have to destroy to prevent them from actually spawning.

This is a great-lloking game. It only has 1 flaw - marketing. Googling this gives ZERO results. It's like you just made this game up on the fly. The devs really need to up their game on that front. Makes zero sense to have something this good and not market it anywhere accessible to regular people.
