As someone who's been playing trail makers for a decent amount of time now, seeing the childlike joy of experiencing the game for the first time is just wonderful

I've been playing trailmakers for ages! I have a few tips for Z1 or anyone here:
+ You can use the keys indicated in build mode to insert, delete, etc.
+ You can select multiple things if you hold LCTRL and CLICK on them, you can use this to edit settings for multiple of the like e.g. 2 pistons or 4 hinges.
+ You can select all the blocks of one type by holding LCTRL and double clicking on something, e.g. an engine.
+ Pistons can be controlled with key if ,while having advanced settings on, configuring a piston and ticking the box for auto reset. If having the piston start extended then: set the input to the key you want. If having the piston start contracted then: set the input to the key you want. Also for both you may want to tick the toggle box so you don't have to hold the button.
+ Pay attention to info at the top of the screen in build mode.
+ You can paint blocks with the paint icon when selecting something in build mode.
+ You can change your general block colours by going into the customisation tab of the escape menu.

First go to the islands across from the starter island to find the magnet and the diving bell so you can go underwater
A suggestion for your car. When you have anything that is very front heavy, like your piston setup, try adding some blocks in the back to act as counterweights.

I know I'm late and this is the first video but tip for the first bumper car is put a hinge before the bumper pieces at the front so it turns with you

Tip#2: Where you got the underwater engine continue that way across to the recovery drone on the island. You find it a very attractive prospect.

Glad to see you playing this again. Also quick note: you can assign different blueprints to quick slots by holding r in the blueprint menu. This allows you to switch between vehicles quickly!

ok so z1 go back to the recovery drone near water the second one you unlocked and head out straight to sea the island there it has a very important block to make collecting salvage easier

Finally I already beat the game it takes so long
i find it great watching ppl new to the game cuz then i can see how long it takes them to figure things out
Having an aerodynamic car is good for fast exploration since they can go really fast with the same amount of power cores than a bad aerodynamic car would go.
Though aerodynamics is more important for planes because of the fact that they move on the air. It would be like a car having two wheels. Your halfway there but not quite

It tells you, if you look at a salvage on the map, on what altitude the salvage is. That way you can tell if it's somewhere above you in the sky or near your level.

It hurt knowing where the dragon engine was and him asking for a better engine as he continues to drive circles around it and then drive off.
In the dragon lake is where you can find the dragon engine, but it will be a lot easier if you go and get the magnet
That two on that blue dice is actually saying how many power cores your using and if you go to blueprints then saved vehicles if you saved your pronged bumper car you would be able to assign it to the transformation part
Power Cores let you add more engines/trusters to make your vehicle more powerful
Great choice I started trail makers 2day ago and it is on console you need a dive if bell to drive under water

There is a water cockpit called the diving bell and you get it by making a sub.

You can change the wheels that the engines are powering by clicking on an engine and choosing the gear icon.

The game, graphics and story is soooooo cool, i saw the game before but it was only in sandbox
The magnet is on the island with the recovery drone
i reccomend two prongs on each side of the bumper
Guys if you are playing sandbox and stuff and want to make something but it keeps tipping over, I have made something called "The Stabiliser", which will try to prevent anything (or itself) from tipping over.
Best for drones
Z here's a hint for a very useful part on island it resides but once you get it you can attract and repulse at will the islands name is its name
Tips for you: 1. You need the tractor magnet its really usefull for moving space debree around
its at magnet island i think If you go to the beach on the main island its like North-West from the beach
2. Of you build a boat you are gonna need the following items:
Medium pontoon ✅
Underwater propeller ✅
Large hinge ✅
You have all of them and btw you need to do the pontoons on the front and the back, and the Underwater Propeller infront of the back pontoons
3. You can swim 😂
You don't need the large hinge for anything as I did a playthrough where I used only small ones cuz large one lagged out and became impossible to reset lol

Tip:
If you are making a graber don't use pistons use hinges i personally recommend the small hinge rather than the large hinge

One word:
Magnets
You can make a wall rider to ride on walls but you need hoverpads and put a hover pad upside down and put a block above the upside down hoverpad and you have a wall rider BUT make sure your car is light if you want it to work well

This mode (campaign) is called "stranded in space" because y'know your stranded in space (lol obviously) and its fairly new ... not seriously new but fairly new
I do believe its on playstation 4 now? But i may be wrong or off on that
Not only does trailmakers have destruction, it also has aerodynamics
When you blow up you only loose your position, once you unlock a part you can have infinite of them unless it uses a powercore then you can only have as many as it will alow if that makes sense
