I watched this then went for a spontaneous improvisation using the learnings, over an arpegiated Chord from a synth. INSTANT progress and thank you so much for such a lucid set of insights.
Wow, that is amazing to hear, SR. Thanks for posting this....PINNED!
My favourite part was seeing the triad break-down on isolated strings, then bringing them together :)
You still make it look so easy!!
Loved this lesson, Chris!!
Yes! That’s a fantastic way to thinking your way into the loosing of oneself in the glories of improvising.
... and there's that explorer, helping to deliver another solid gold lesson!
This thing is an absolute beastie!
Had to watch this one twice. Grabbed a guitar and got lost in a grove. Looked up and it was over. Playing thru modes with it was fun.
Great time.
Sir, you're the teacher that I wish I had 20 years ago.. youre able to transmit the information in a way that I can visualize what you're saying, since I have difficulty connecting what I hear with how I store it in my brain, and your way of explaining really helps. New subscriber. Thank you.
Thanks so much for the sub! Im glad you’re here, and happy this stuff is landing well for you.
Easily the best guitar teacher on youtube... So glad I found this channel! It's a gem

There is so much to unpack here. So simply stated, but so layered it can keep you busy for a long time!

As a novice and older player with limited music background this is exactly how my brain needs to learn. Chris, I really have appreciated you and your teaching methods. Thank you for the great content. Keep it coming.
So glad these are helpful for you, Scott. Thanks for the comment and views. It's good to have you here.

Walang anuman, Joenar!
Chris, thanks again my friend I’ll be sending an hour payment the one I’m paying my current guitar teacher due to the fact. I’ve watched many of your lessons here for free and some of them resonate. I’ve watched some of them many times over during the last 4 months I guess. It’s almost like you’ve heard me play and said Mikey try this bud. I’ve had three lessons and my teacher has yet to say just play something for me and then let’s talk about that. Thanks Chris
Thank you!
And yeah, that's the FIRST thing you should hear out of a guitar teachers mouth...the VERY FIRST thing :)
i love your lessons
Thanks!

Thanks capt'n! And thanks for your trust and support!
great teacher !!
Thanks, John
Thank you
I’ve never heard an Explorer sound anything but great. I want one….,
You're a great teacher! Could you do a video on playing unaccompanied, like what to play when someone says just play something... would it maybe be playing over a chord progression in your head. I just tend to freeze in that moment :)
Try this maybe? ruclips.net/video/ohO8CGb_wvY/видео.html

Terrific lesson. Started your trial. A few questions. You sometimes use Soundslice. Will you be able to enable printing from there so that one can put the TAB on paper to use on a music stand? Secondly, does your Guilded site now include everything that is on the standard Patreon page or do I need to look at both Patreon offerings and Guilded offerings? Thanks for the help understanding.
Hey Scott...I see we're chatting on Guilded too. I'll loop back there. Thanks for your trust and support!
My face hurts from smiling.
🤘🤘🤘🤘
Man, you are the Shizziola!
Haha, thanks, Pops!
When you said with BOOMs "ears, hands, brains" my dog barked and my car alarm went off.......
Ha! My son told me to turn those down a bit, guess I didn't turn them down enough!!!
so melodic players arent superhuman Magicans?!
Wow, you unraveled it fur mortals! The Triad lesson is awesome. start small🤝
