    My guess is that Michael and Terry Gilliam are the most approachable of the six Pythons (expired Pythons excused).

    There is no thing known to man that is as funny as the "Dead Parrot Sketch".
    It is brilliant writing and a hysterical performance by both Cleese and Palin.
    Just the mention of the sketch can have me laughing like a fool.

    I think MP was also the most important Python as he was the glue that kept the group together long enogh to reach immortality (the egos of Terry ang John left free would have blown the group up much earlier - my hunch anyway).

    I have a Python rarity - on the Contractual album cassettes, there's an announcement for a tiresome gap at the end of side A. Not very exciting, but a rarity nonetheless. Is there a way I can send it to you to upload? Otherwise I can just upload it.

    Watching further, was Dick naturally insecure and needed to try to affirm his place as interviewer/American, or was he intimidated by 'posh' English backgrounds/high level comedians?...🤔

      Dick was a woefully bad interviewer. I have seen him talk down to many of his guests - the worst examples I can recall off the top of my head are James Baldwin and Grace Slick.

      @@jonathanjordan315 Cavett insulted Joni Mitchell saying "my country protects your country." His incorrect knowledge of NORAD and NATO aside, it wasn't appropriate to slap that on a guest where you introduced the conversational topic of her as songwriter and musician.

    Maybe women in his country but I just spoke to a woman that absolutely love them when she was younger and I just love them now so much and I’m a woman so I don’t know what he’s saying that for

    This is one of Dick's worst interviews. He hardly ever asks a relevant question as to Palin's craft and productions. It's all irrelevant banter.

      Maybe Michael had nothing to sell. I don't know. I am listening to this video (10 minutes gone), and so far, I've heard Dick asking Michael a few questions and Michael has answered. It's just a very relaxed chat

    Cavett seemed totally unprepared for the interview. HIs wing it and let the guest's personality save the day didn't work with a total introvert like Palin. Very awkward.

      I disagree, I think Dick Cavett was a great interviewer, he definitely did his homework and was able to hold interesting and thought provoking conversations with his guests. In my opinion.
