      I actually talked about this with my brother (who’s currently studying biology) and luckily the cordyceps is a long way from being able to withstand human body temperatures. It would probably take a million years for them to evolve enough to survive it. It is cool how tlou linked the zombies to a real natural phenomenon, even if it theoretically isn’t close to happening yet at all

      Joseph, you already have a hundred something species of fungus living on just your feet alone, thousands of species of bacteria, fungus, viruses, tiny insects, worms etc make a cozy living on and inside of your body.       @Dana William humans eat fungi too lol, idk the death rates globally of people eating well known deadly mushrooms, but it's gotta atleast be 2 people.
      Therefor it wouldn't be a stretch to say a hungry homeless man find a unique looking mushroom & eats it.. Thus, starting a new plauge of zombie like peoples. And maybe instead of climbing to a high place to spore, the fungus uses the human intellect to spread its spores more effectively.
      Like an irrigation system, or mindless cattle who will let you spit in their mouths..

    A human’s immune system is stronger in fighting cordyceps than insects. So don’t worry about living in a video game. But in a couple hundred years, cordyceps can evolve to do the same thing to humans.

    I don't think there has been better camera work in any series, movies or piece of art. I know it's subjective, but this is just too good. I am flabbergasted at the effort and the hard work.

      They most likely have a team consisting of people with different skills, like one with the ability to observe abnormal behavior in animals such as ants. Most likely they searched in an area where the fungus was dominant and then it was just a matter of time before they could single a weird ant out. Must have taken a long time still, but they dedicate so much time to these programs, it's amazing.
