Happy to be back with a MUCH requested video. I love Band Maid. Hope everyone is doing well! Off to a pumpkin patch now 🎃🎃🎃 P.S. My computer spazzed out on Freedom, so my head bobbing is slightly out of sync on the last minute or so of the song 😂 just ignore that
Get video but tx2 release a new ep can you listen to the news song called cruel world and violent nature and this Ian’t. About drugs I swear feat from first to last
In the West, we are used to bands with one or two great players. We're used to having a few bands with notable talent across the entire unit. What we're not so used to is having such exceptional playing skill (and writing and compositional talent) in every member of the band. In Japan, this is true of not just one group, but of band after band after band. Thank you so very much, Japan, for your lovely gift to the world!
Red Rose Miku, Sept. 14, 2017, interview: At the Band forming nobody in our band had done "Hard Rock" so we had started without knowing anything - we have grown greatly musically as a Band.
Great vid! Kanami chose PRS back about 9 years ago, and she's had several since. In fact, just this summer, she finally received her 'Private Stock' PRS, you can find vids of it online (PRS Japan has a whole YT vid showing it off). And she's going to be featured in a PRS guitar show next month!
Annabelle, thank you for reacting to three of my favorite Band-Maid songs. "Domination" was the first video I saw of Band-Maid four years ago on RUclips. I was enthralled by how great of a rock band these five Japanese females were. Saiki's stage presence and command of the audience (as well as their musical talent, of course) really caught my attention. "Freedom" opened my eyes of how talented Akane, the drummer, was but how tight the band was. Akane's transition into and out of her drum solo was stunningly smooth. Few drummers can do that well. "Hate?" is the culmination of highlighting their individual talents and SOLID rock chops.
Welcome back Princess Anna !!!!! I have been looking forward to your BM reviews !!!!! I think you would enjoy seeing another side of this incredible band. Check out Day Dreaming MV and Wonderland LIVE. Two great songs that have a different feel from what you heard so far. BTW I saw them about a year ago and I have seen all the greats in the last 40 years....and let me tell you...Band Maid was the best LIVE band I have ever seen !!!!!!!! Made me feel 18 again !!!!!!!
Hearing Band-Maid LIVE and in-person is a superior sonic experience because the instruments are more discrete, it's less complicated (by not having multiple studio guitar tracks, etc.), and no overall (mastering) compression. And of course, watching the Maids play and interact with the audience is something you'll never forget! Thx, Anna!
Live is their super power, little to no difference between live and studio, except they like to add bits and pieces to their live, an added benefit for coming to see them live🤘
Thank you for your wonderful comments. All of them have the best skills. I think they are probably the best in the world right now. They have over 130 original, wonderful songs. And don't forget the high level of recording technology in Japan.
I'll just casually mention I'm flying to Tokyo at the end of November to see both Zepp Haneda Band-Maid shows. Is that jealousy I can hear? ... lol! Seriously, though, I'm an Australian Maidiac and I've been listening to Band-Maid for over four years now. Getting around the globe takes effort and cash for Aussies but I had a moment a few months ago where I thought, "I can't put it off any longer!" I know it will be an experience of a lifetime. 🤘🤘
I’ll see you there (on the first night). Already planned a trip to Tokyo and then found out they are playing at Zepp while we are there. Was fortunate to get tickets. So excited to see them live for the first time.
During their concerts, they take a small, “MC”, break, after every 4 songs, and talk to the crowd. And at each concert, one of the MC breaks, Miku will do her famous, “Imaginai Time”. (Magic spell time) where she does the maid cafe magic happiness love spell.
Seems to me that the Japanese girls have a leg up on the American music scene currently, the day of the guitar hero’s are on limited time , a dying breed. Girls in Band Maid , lovebites etc are very technically proficient. I’m 58, been playing guitar since 83, these girls definitely have the chops, no doubt. Fm radio pretty much is down the toilet with modern day bands. Wish these bands could go mainstream in the us. Anyway keep on rocking till the day you die 🎸🤘🤪🍺💀
I love their song "Manners" a lot. It has a little bit of a laid back vibe but builds really well. Tends to be a bit overlooked within their amazing catalogue.
They have all worked hard to get to this level, but Miku probably more then the rest. Miku who plays the Rhythm Guitar and does backing vocals was originally going to be the lead vocalist, but felt her voice didn't work for the sound they wanted. So they found Saiki and Miku began learning guitar from Kanami. So in just the last 10 years or so since the band formed, she has gone from never playing a guitar to being able to play at the same level as her band mates. You can see this in their early music videos like Thrill, she holds the guitar, but never really plays it.
Welcome back, Annabelle. I enjoy your triple reaction format. You chose three excellent tracks this time. Next time maybe three ballads like live Endless Story, acoustic Sayonakidori, Daydreaming, live Puzzle. Maybe three anime adjacent like Unleash!!!!!, Sense, Protect You or Shambles. Whatever, nice to watch ...and congratulations on 8k views in the first 24 hours! Keep up the good work!
I am glad you are enjoying the band, they are the best. I would like to recommend 3 of their more recent music videos 'Shambles', 'Protect You', and 'Forbidden Tale', all brilliant songs from their latest album. I know lots of fans prefer the live performances, but I always like the official music video's.
Welcome back! That are indeed well worth seeing live. Their live performances are absolutely on par or better than the studio recordings. I don't know if the bass-lead guitar exchange in Hate? is on the studio recording, but they do often put in extras when playing live. A few other concert bits: their concerts are known as servings to keep with the maid cafe theme; they vary in exact length, but I've never heard of any that are less than 20 songs and 2 hours in length. I've seen them twice and it was well worth flying across the country to catch their performance. I look forward to your next reaction to Band Maid, you really can't go wrong with any of the choices out there. Sure, some songs are more in my sweet spot than others, but I truly have yet to hear a /bad/ song from them. You will also find that they are constantly trying to new things and pushing themselves. I think that when a band tries something new, fans can often have an initially negative reaction, but over time come to love the news stuff.
Yep, their stamina is amazing - and apparently they do train for it too - Saiki the lead singer in particular. The rest of the band has made it a joke how Saiki could easily have a second career as a fitness instructor. Otoh they do tend to spend all the energy they have in their shows. They don't do encores. They do the last song and walk off. And by then they have timed themselves to pretty much go collapse backstage. Early on some fans were critical/sceptic to the no-encores policy, so Kobato made a little backstage camera film of the band post-concert: And Kobato is pouring with sweat in it, then pans to Akane the drummer slumped on a bench just looking dead, and then to Saiki the lead singer, who looks alive, but just gives the camera a thousand-mile stare. Later some fan on Reddit got hold of the video, which was all in Japanese, and asked: "Why are they so sad? Why are they crying?" Only to be told: They ain't said, just utterly spent. And what's rolling down their faces ain't tears, but honest sweat."
Bass/Guitar battle was added for live performances last year. Saw them twice last year (Houston and Denver). Kanami has a collection of PRS guitars. She recently got a private stock which is made to her specifications and quite pricey.
Nice pick of songs! All of these have some time been my intro song when showing them to my friends! 😎🤘 (And no, they don't have any bad songs! Seriously!)
Nice reaction to three of Band-Maid's higher energy songs! There's a 2-fer on their channel that also gives you a range of their talent. It's a live studio performance of Manners and Black Hole.
Thanks for the great reaction. The pidgeon (Miku..Guitar & vocals had an Idea to create this band and did it organically. She already had the backing and a contract to fulfill her dream. She fired herself as lead singer because her voice wasnt as edgy as the girls wanted and secretly scouted Saike's audition and chose her. Except for the 1st 3 weeks this has been the lineup. If you get a chance watch the Doc on the band. Its really well done and very informative. Last of all Miku is the final authority on all things BM related. She even negotiates their contracts and writes 90% of the lyrics. They are very endearing.
I've been lucky enough to catch them on their last 2 US tours....fantastically talented and fun group of ladies....don't miss them if they are near you. Their live versions are always great and they typically add quite a bit to the songs (which already start out great). Thanks for reviewing!
Welcome back. Hope things are better for you! Seen them play live 3 times now. Best shows I've been to! You should check out their songs: Take Me Higher & Turn Me On (both live). They're both on NekoAngel channel
Hate? was from the over three hour long concert they did as the finale at Yokohama Arena for their tenth anniversary. Watching it via a live stream and then re watch via the DVD. Not sure the feeling and thrill of that concert will ever leave me. But having their albums and never tired of any single track. I have never known any band have a track or performance that was as consistently brilliant every time. Just pure joy. Deserves the three track reaction.
This song is from "Band-Maid Tour Live" held by BAND-MAID at Zepp Diver City, Tokyo on April 13, 2018 Setlist: 01. Domination 02. Play 03. Spirit!! 04. The Non-fiction Days 05. Moratoriamu 06. Alive-or-dead 07. Cross 08. Turn Me On 09. Don’t You Tell Me 10. Daydreaming 11. One And Only 12. Puzzle 13. Anemone 14. Dice 15. Secret My Lips 16. Clang 17. Fate 18. Onset 19. Carry On Living 20. Alone 21. Rock In Me 22. I Can’t Live Without You. 23. You. 24. Freedom 25. Real Existence 26. Choose Me
Since you mention anime, Band-Maid has done several anime themes - Protect You, Shambles, Sense, Different, etc. They also have Unleash!!! where they themselves are animated. Of course they are all great!
Welcome Home Princess Annabelle! Band Maid calls their fans Masters and Princesses, so technically you are a princess. It is great to see you reacting to our favorite Maids again. You also look amazing in this video. When you see the band members gather around and face the drummer, Akane, the members are usually making funny faces at her to try to make her laugh or make a mistake. In the "Freedom" and "Domination" videos that is what they were doing, as you could tell when Akane blew kisses at all of them during the "Freedom" video, it doesn't always work, but she loves it when they do it. Please take very good care of yourself, and I hope you have a wonderful week.
Great reaction. In the first song, HATE?, the conversation between the lead guitarist (Kanami - also main composer) and the bassist (MISA - barefoot assassin) is not on the album, they do these extended sections in a number of different songs, but not every time. The lead guitarist (Kanami) has three PRS, at this show, she only had two, a red one and a green one (used in this video). The second song (Domination) was also the 20 song of a 22 song set list. The last song, Freedom, is one that they play the most, they can play it in their sleep. Thanks for coming back to review Band--Maid. Remember, listening to a Band-Maid each day will keep the doctor away and make you smile, so start every day with Band-Maid for happy and healthy life. And we all agree that Band-Maid is the first perfect band - go grrl power.
THE best Hard Rock band on Earth. I lalalalalalalalalalalalalala love them! For many years, we always recommended the live version of Domination as a first video to react to but now we say try Hate?. For drum fans, we always recommend Freedom. So, excellent choices! 🤘🤘DOMINATION live was the 22nd song of their 23 song set and begins with a segue that is the dying away of the last note of the previous song PLAY. At 8:30 - MISA, the bassist, Kanami the lead guitarist and composer, and Miku the rhythm guitarist and founder of the band, are playing Hengao - "strange faces" - with Akane the drummer, which is making funny faces to try and put someone off. Akane, of course, laughs along while not missing a beat. It shows the ladies' confidence in each others' abilities that they can fool around like this while all of them slam out note-perfect Rock at full tilt. At 9:08 - MISA the bassist is holding her plectrum in her curled finger so she can produce it and switch from slapping to picking in half a nanosecond! At 9:55 - Akane the drummer hitting two separate beats on her double kick pedals while simultaneously continuing the song melody on her snare, toms and cymbal. At 10:50 - a brief glimpse of Kanami laying down one sweet rolling chord pattern on her lead guitar - pure class.
This song is from "BAND-MAID WORLD DOMINATION TOUR - Shinka" held by BAND-MAID at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA on February 14, 2020 Setlist: 01-Rinne 02-Blooming 03-Screaming 04-Dilemma 05-glory 06-FREEDOM 07-Choose me 08-PAGE 09-Mirage 10-catharsis 11-Bubble 12-The Dragon Cries 13-I can't live without you. 14-TIME 15-Wonderland 16-alone 17-DICE 18-Don't you tell ME 19-Play 20-DOMINATION 21-endless Story
MAIDIACs motto: Your favorite BAND MAID song is the last one you listened to. For some real fun watch these videos together - same song different versions PUZZLE - both of these are live! Acoustic version - ruclips.net/video/ayJtzPkgZTc/видео.html - Rock version - ruclips.net/video/zvuqmSQEnaA/видео.html Japanese Interviewer: Since all five girls are cute, each of them has a different character. Those who want to see idols perform can also enjoy (each character individually). MIKU: NO! Not just for one of them, all of them together! Japanese Interviewer: Kuruppo, you are a pretty good tactician. Clever! You thought of it. You really formed the band you wanted, right? MIKU: It's a Miracle! SAIKI: That's right!
Kanami got a few PRS' by now. Before that she was an Addictone artist. Then she got a hold of a PRS and it was no way back. Addictone on their behalf tried to blame the record-company for "pushing" it on her, and nearly ended in some lawsuit. Since I wasn'y 100% sure I took a little peek through the videos to see how many she has. Though.. she can have 2 of the same colour. Who knows.. But I believe in "Don't you tell me" (MV) is the first time we see her with one. A red (burst?) Custom 24. Then in the "Secret my lips" (MV) we see her with a purple burst . In "Start over" (MV) we see her with a green (Custom 24 I would asume?) then she stuck with these till after the pandemic. Then In "From now on" (MV) we see her with something I first asumed was the old purple one. This one is more blood red and I would guess it's a new one. Since I've seen these guitars used numerous of times, I would guess they're all hers. Like many others I've kind of waited for her own signature guitar. You see: in 2016 Miku deicided to go for Zemaitis, and soon became official artist and "spokes-pigeon" for the brand. Then in 2021 as a celebration of their 5 year collaboration, they deicided to release he own signature. The lovely "Flappy Pigeon", which has been her go to since then. Though.. she got most of their regulars. Even an acoustic and the 10K USD Mother pearl. But in the spring there was talk about Kanami finally getting her "own" guitar. She was even cheeky enough to share some very subtle pictures, then PRS-Japan released pictures on their web-page. It's yellowish, but with some distinct details on the fretboard and headstock. Lovely guitar, but only a "private Stock"... So not sure if it ever will be released as a signature.
Addictone was a little salty when Kanami switched to PRS as they had just released a Kanami signature model. They seem to have patched things up since then, because Addictone still retweets Band-Maid on occasion.
I think it probably says something about Kanami's personality that her personal model PRS has the Band-Maid logo on the headstock instead of her own name. Although of course her name might be somewhere else on the guitar.
Nice reaction. Band Maid is a phenomenal band. Love their music. Another band you may enjoy is Lovebites, another band out of Japan. They are awesome. Think you will like.
They have 115 super good songs... 14 good songs.... and 1 normal song. NEXT SONGS: Choose me, Dice, Don’t you tell ME, Freedom, Don't Let Me Down, influencer, Alone, .... oh, and RInne!
I agree that their early/mid-era (2015-2019) is their best music. The newer stuff is good, but it’s a bit more chaotic sounding, and the lead guitar tone tends to be really bright.
Only BAND-MAID calls us Masters & Princesses, because they're Maids. We're Maidiacs. But no, not Saki. That's a rice wine. Saiki (Sigh-Key) sounds like Psyche. As for high levels of musicianship, Miku is the most amazing. Not the best player, but she couldn't play at all when she formed the band. Rather than hire a sixth member, she learned to play, and sing at the same time, on the fly while in a working band. A lot of credit goes to her teacher, Kanami. One song she knew Miku wasn't ready for. So, generous sensei that she is, she wrote another song that would get her up to speed. But it's not all work. They have fun too. When they gather around Akane's drums it's to make faces at her and make her laugh so she f*cks up. Not a chance! However not all their songs are high energy, they have soft acoustic ballads as well, and some interactive comedy. That's how they can do a 3 1/2 hour show.
Band-Maid Checklist For Hate... brutal cutdown lyrics: ✔ vocal harmonies: ✔ heavy drums: ✔ guitar vs bass duel: ✔ play part of guitar solo with eyes closed: ✔ do a cute spin at the end of the song: ✔ Kanami played an Addictone guitar in their earliest few videos before switching to PRS. I have seen a video clip where she is playing a Parker Fly guitar but I think that was a one off. Some song suggestions for you are Moratorium, No God, Rinne, Onset, From Now On, Without Holding Back, About Us, Play, Why Why Why, Clang, and Matchless Gum. There are a couple more live videos from the same Yokohama Arena okyuji as Hate which are very good. Don't You Tell Me is a straight up banger with another guitar vs bass duel, and Endless Story is a tear jerker that even choked up the singer, Saiki, and the drummer, Akane, since it was the last song of their 10th year anniversary tour. Also, they just released a collaboration with The Warning called Show Them which is a must listen.
WELCOME BACK HOME BEAUTIFUL PRINCESS. ohh long TIME no see. Is it Halloween 🎃 Joke, 🤔 nah! Let’s call it Halloween GIFT 🎁😉😋. When I saw your FUN ON FIRE, first I remembered how much BAND MAID love fire and even set Themselves on fire😅😏 while doing MV😂🤣. How you doing? Any special plan for🎃👻🎃👻🎃👻🎃👻. Don’t come and ask for 🍫😁. Happy to see you and HOPE to see you All the TIME. SEE YOU👋😊
The extended duel wasn't in the studio release of "HATE?". Evidently, when they took "HATE?" on the road, it wasn't generating the enthusiasm they were hoping for, so, in typical Band-Maid fashion, they experimented and tweaked until it worked. They started combining "HATE?" with a lead in from "Dice" which contained a a Bass-Guitar duel and continued the duel into "HATE?". When they performed "Dice - HATE?" at Lollapalooza 2023 it went viral on RUclips. The intensity of the performance was remarkable, especially Kanami's soloing. That performance of "HATE?" is from their Yokohama Arena 10th Anniversary Tour Final. It was song 27 of a 33 song set list of a 3 and a half hour long concert. The set list was carefully planned to include breaks where every member of the band got a respite from performing, and that included breaks that they normally include in their usual two hour shows. They'll do 4-5 songs and Saiki will do an audience Q&A, then another five songs and they'll take a break before or after a Kobato song and an instrumental to give Saiki's voice a rest. Breaks generally include light hearted trolling of each other or Miku's 'Imajinai Time' where she leads the audience in 'World Domination" cheers. This is all part of Band-Maid's charm and charisma: their musicianship is top level and they're entertaining even after they set down their instruments. Each concert is unique with variations unique to each venue. I saw them live twice in 2023: at St Andrews Hall in Detroit and at Sonic Temple Festival in Columbus, Ohio. Yes, they are that good live. I was fortunate to have watched the Yokohama Arena live stream, getting myself up at 2:30 AM to watch a concert that was ending about the time of sunrise. The finale was "Endless Story", the live posting of which you should react to.
My opinion better live than studio, a little heavy on the compression to fit all of Kanami's(lead guitar, composer) sound on a recording, brand new sub here, very nice, welcome to Band-Maid.
() It's ok we won't tell anyone but we know. And yes A-Chan is my favorite and my bias too but Kanami is always waiting in the wings to bias wreck at any moment 🙃 No extended solos are special for live Servings only as a gift for fans. Psy-e- key but often pronounced as Psych-Key And yes your favorite Band-Maid song is often the one you just listened to. Domination Live, Freedom Live and now Hate? Official Live are now considered Reactors Band-Maid 101. Miku rhythm guitar, co-lead vocalist and band founder. Yes Kanami Loves her PRS guitar and now has her own custom model. ❤️💛💚💙💜
#Annabelle Excellent reaction for BAND MAID songs. Next band you need to discover is LOVEBITES. it's a another female japonese metal band, they've sing in only English. LOVEBITES are in Power/ Trash Metal. They're influence are from Iron Maiden, Dio, Judas Priest, Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Slayer, Helloween, Dragon Force... LOVEBITES is form in 2016 by MIHO & HARUNA ( former DESTROSE) ASAMI is the Vocalist & lyricist HARUNA is on Drums MIDORI is on lead Guitar/ Spanish Guitar & backing vocals MIYAKO is on lead Guitar/ piano/ backing vocals & main melodist. FAMI is on bass & backing vocals since end of 2022. MIHO was the first bassist & backing vocals ( she left the band for personal reasons in mid 2021), she was also melodist and lyricist. Songs to discover: WHEN DESTINIES ALYN ( official music video) THE CRUSADE ( live) this song is a hommage to ACES HIGH from Iron Maiden. SOLDIER STANDS SOLITARILY live. During the concert of BAND MAID in Yokohama who was filmed with LIVE MV of HATE? the members of LOVEBITES was in the crowd. HARUNA drummer of LOVEBITES is a good friend of AKANÉ drummer of BAND MAID. they're a lots of respect between those 2 bands.
BAND‐MAID concert at Yokohama Arena, Yokohama, Japan on November 26, 2023 Setlist 01) DOMINATION 02) glory 03) alone 04) Play 05) Unleash!!!!! 06) Thrill 07) Shambles 08) Don't you tell ME 09) After Life 10) Sense 11) influencer (New intro with Miku guitar solo) 12) from now on 13) Daydreaming (New intro) 14) Memorable 15) about Us 16) Mirage 17) Bubble 18) Rock in me 19) Different (Acoustic - Saiki and Kanami only) 20) anemone (Acoustic - Saiki and Kanami only) 21) Choose me (Saiki solo on piano) 22) onset 23) Brightest Star 24) FREEDOM (New intro) 25) BLACK HOLE (New intro with Akane drum solo) 26) DICE (New intro with Misa bass solo) 27) HATE? 28) NO GOD (New intro) 29) Magie 30) Manners 31) Choose me (Normal version) 32) FORWARD (New arrangement) 33) endless Story
I would HIGHLY recommend turning OFF the lyrics for the first watch! It's one of the things that MOST detracts from honest reactions! The Lyrics DO NOT matter, as much as FEELING it....and I've been to enough concerts with people who didn't speak japanese but were there to "give it a go" and were blown away, to agree. :)
Hard to pick three better live songs. Band Maid is: MIKU (mee-koo) Rhythm guitar, backing vocals, writes the lyrics. The band’s founder. She is “the little pigeon”. KANAMI (kah-nah-mee) Lead guitar. A classically trained musician, she writes and arranges all the music. “Mincho” MISA (mee-sah) Bass. The band’s secret weapon. “The barefoot assassin”. AKANE (ah-kah-neh) The Happiest drummer on Earth. “The Gorilla” is the other half of the best rhythm section on the planet. SAIKI (sigh-kee) Lead vocals. Front man. “The Ice Queen”, She’s also the team mom.
Hi Annabelle! Nah, the guitar/bass argument isn't in the album version. There is no music video for it either. Kanami's guitar solo after the guitar/bass argument is in the album version. lol, you looked away from the screen just as Saiki sang the "10 minutes of limp gymnastics" lyric. Saiki wrote the lyrics for this track about a friend's husband who cheated on her." Well, that's the urban legend anyway. :) By the way the friend is a famous Japanese singer as well. She is LiSA. The cheating scandal is a popular story.
The story about LiSA is speculation that some fans spread around the internet and shouldn't be believed without a valid citation. All we know for sure is that Saiki had people who cheat on partners in mind when she wrote the lyrics to "Hate?". We have no idea if she had any one individual in mind.
Happy to be back with a MUCH requested video. I love Band Maid. Hope everyone is doing well! Off to a pumpkin patch now 🎃🎃🎃
P.S. My computer spazzed out on Freedom, so my head bobbing is slightly out of sync on the last minute or so of the song 😂 just ignore that
Get video but tx2 release a new ep can you listen to the news song called cruel world and violent nature and this Ian’t. About drugs I swear feat from first to last
Yes planning to do a video today while wearing my Halloween costume :P!
Yes it is a well-known effect that every song you hear is your new favorite. It just is.
Annabelle! 🙂 I love these triple reactions! That was great, thanks! 🤘
Bill!!! 🍺🎃🤘🏻🕊️
Seem like if She do another 3 songs, Those gonna be YOU other 3 favourite songs😏🤫🥲
Welcome back Princess Anna !!!!! I have been looking forward to your BM reviews !!!!! I think you would enjoy seeing another side of this
incredible band. Check out Day Dreaming MV and Wonderland LIVE. Two great songs that have a different feel from what you heard so
far. BTW I saw them about a year ago and I have seen all the greats in the last 40 years....and let me tell you...Band Maid was the best
LIVE band I have ever seen !!!!!!!! Made me feel 18 again !!!!!!!
Saiki (Sigh-Key) - Lead singer
Miku (Me-Koo) - Harmonies and rhythm guitar
Kanami (Kaw-Naw-Me) - Lead guitarist
Misa (Meece-Uh) - Bass
Akane (Ah-Kaw-Nay) - Drums
Hope that helps! 😊
Band-Maid is music for musicians! I saw them live in Dallas in 2022. They are so, SO good, I had the biggest grin on my face for the entire show.
Even as a non-musician, I can still see what you mean ! (or hear what you mean !!!).
Their live energy is crazy. The crowd does really start with the "ey" chant and the band and crowd feeds off from it for a good 2 hours.
Thank you for your wonderful comments. All of them have the best skills. I think they are probably the best in the world right now. They have over 130 original, wonderful songs. And don't forget the high level of recording technology in Japan.
Here's a guide to everything BAND-MAID: www.youtube.com/@Ohrenje. I highly recommend the documentaries!
Have fun! 1st time? We went their back in June for the joint Band Maid & The Warning show. Spent 10 glorious days in Japan! dbl ♥
I’ll see you there (on the first night). Already planned a trip to Tokyo and then found out they are playing at Zepp while we are there. Was fortunate to get tickets. So excited to see them live for the first time.
Welcome Back *Annabelle*
It is a TRAP! the last *BAND-MAID* song you hear is your favorite. 😊🕊 🍺
Can’t wait till she checks out ‘Alone’ official mv! 🍺🎃
so true
Glad you are feeling better ❤️ All the best to you...And Band Maid !!❤️
Frank! 🍺🎃🤘🏻🕊️
During their concerts, they take a small, “MC”, break, after every 4 songs, and talk to the crowd. And at each concert, one of the MC breaks, Miku will do her famous, “Imaginai Time”. (Magic spell time) where she does the maid cafe magic happiness love spell.
🕊️🌏🌎🌍 Welcome Back, Princess Annabelle! 💖
All of BAND-MAIDS songs, from old to new, have the level of engineering that makes every instrument distinct.
Yes. All the Band-Maid songs are your favourite. Now you have it. 🙂
Oooh, 3 killers of songs. It makes any day worth living!
My favourite !!---even despite all my other favourites----"Manners" still at the top !!
Band-Maid is the type of band that is required to play on the biggest stage and venues. 🤩
Your next favorite Band Maid song will be Alone MV . The first song written by the band in 2016.
Ha the Pigeon magic, the last song is always your favorite PO !
They are SO AMAZING!
those extended solo sections are live magic and when ihear Hate? i dearly miss them XD and they did so in quite many songs
Annabelle! 🍺😺🤘🏻🕊️
Well done Ambassador ! 🤯
🍺👌
ROOOOOGGGGEEEER 👍🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻
Roger!🍻🥴😁
Thanks so much, the Maids are absolutely the best of the best, cheers Po 👍🍻
Band Maid is simply the best!!! Thanks for your reaction.
Bass/Guitar battle was added for live performances last year. Saw them twice last year (Houston and Denver). Kanami has a collection of PRS guitars. She recently got a private stock which is made to her specifications and quite pricey.
More Band-Maid please!
Nice pick of songs! All of these have some time been my intro song when showing them to my friends! 😎🤘
(And no, they don't have any bad songs! Seriously!)
Their new album Epic Narratives is actually epic!
Nice reaction to three of Band-Maid's higher energy songs! There's a 2-fer on their channel that also gives you a range of their talent. It's a live studio performance of Manners and Black Hole.
Great to have you back with more Band-Maid.
Your next triplet of songs should be three of their anime related songs DIFFERENT ,SENSE and UNLEASH!!!!!. Maybe. 😊
I've been lucky enough to catch them on their last 2 US tours....fantastically talented and fun group of ladies....don't miss them if they are near you. Their live versions are always great and they typically add quite a bit to the songs (which already start out great). Thanks for reviewing!
I will add that the interaction with the audience - Masters and Princesses - is really fantastic and a whole lot of fun!
Greatest band of our time 🔥❤️🤘 Band-Maid forever 🔥🤘❤️🇫🇮

Welcome to the "Unseen World" that propels BAND-MAID to "World Domination."
All bow down to his holiness, TinyHat-san!
All 3 of these songs are phenomenal 😊
Akane. Best smile ever❤
ROGER!!!!! 🙂🍺🤘
Dave!!! 🍺👻

MAIDIACs motto: Your favorite BAND MAID song is the last one you listened to.
For some real fun watch these videos together - same song different versions
PUZZLE - both of these are live!

Rock version - ruclips.net/video/zvuqmSQEnaA/видео.html
Japanese Interviewer: Since all five girls are cute, each of them has a different character.
The Maids are getting ready to play...sit down strap in and hold on.
The last song you listen to is your favorite. That’s called the « Band-Maid effect »
Treat yourself to Daydreaming next.
Best hard rock band today!!😊
We agree- they are the best!
It's ok to say Band Maid🎀 is your favorite, the other bands will understand.😸
Watch their song Wonderland
Arigato Annabelle. Three for the price of one, BONUS.🙂👍
Gary!!! 🍺😁🤘🏻🕊️
@GaryHolloway Where have you been? Glad to e see you back in the comments. 🤘🏼
Always fun to see MISA duel with Kanami...she is 7" taller than Kanami.
BTW, Kanami has an endorsement from PRS.
Nice reaction. Band Maid is a phenomenal band. Love their music. Another band you may enjoy is Lovebites, another band out of Japan. They are awesome. Think you will like.
❤ love them and love you loving them 💕
They have 115 super good songs... 14 good songs.... and 1 normal song.
NEXT SONGS: Choose me, Dice, Don’t you tell ME, Freedom, Don't Let Me Down, influencer, Alone, .... oh, and RInne!
I wish they release the live songs on spotify!
Saw them in concert in DC back in 2022
I agree that their early/mid-era (2015-2019) is their best music.
Band-Maid Checklist For Hate...
brutal cutdown lyrics: ✔
vocal harmonies: ✔
heavy drums: ✔
guitar vs bass duel: ✔
play part of guitar solo with eyes closed: ✔
do a cute spin at the end of the song: ✔
Kanami played an Addictone guitar in their earliest few videos before switching to PRS.
SEE YOU👋😊

MISA MISA MISA!!!!! MISA MISA MISA!!!!! MISA MISA MISA!!!!!
There are three other bands from Japan that are worth follow:(a) East of Eden - they have only MVs, and I suggest This moment. (b) Gacharic Spin - they are funny and chaotic, but very good musicians, I suggest I wish I (live or MV) and you may choose any one else from their huge catalog. ©Lovebites - no comments, just watch them - Soldier Stand Solitarily, The hammer of wrath and Frozen Serenade (all of them live version), have a nice time, enjoy.
() It's ok we won't tell anyone but we know.
And yes A-Chan is my favorite and my bias too but Kanami is always waiting in the wings to bias wreck at any moment 🙃
No extended solos are special for live Servings only as a gift for fans.
Psy-e- key but often pronounced as Psych-Key
And yes your favorite Band-Maid song is often the one you just listened to.
Domination Live, Freedom Live and now Hate? Official Live are now considered Reactors Band-Maid 101.
Miku rhythm guitar, co-lead vocalist and band founder.
Yes Kanami Loves her PRS guitar and now has her own custom model.
❤️💛💚💙💜
🤘Maids! 🤘
#Annabelle
Excellent reaction for BAND MAID songs.
LOVEBITES is form in 2016 by MIHO & HARUNA ( former DESTROSE)
ASAMI is the Vocalist & lyricist
HARUNA is on Drums
MIDORI is on lead Guitar/ Spanish Guitar & backing vocals
MIYAKO is on lead Guitar/ piano/ backing vocals & main melodist.
FAMI is on bass & backing vocals since end of 2022.
MIHO was the first bassist & backing vocals ( she left the band for personal reasons in mid 2021), she was also melodist and lyricist.
Songs to discover:
WHEN DESTINIES ALYN ( official music video)
THE CRUSADE ( live) this song is a hommage to ACES HIGH from Iron Maiden.
Good job!!

Band Maid is:
MIKU (mee-koo)
Rhythm guitar, backing vocals, writes the lyrics. The band’s founder. She is “the little pigeon”.
KANAMI (kah-nah-mee)
Lead guitar. A classically trained musician, she writes and arranges all the music. “Mincho”
MISA (mee-sah)
Bass. The band’s secret weapon. “The barefoot assassin”.
AKANE (ah-kah-neh)
The Happiest drummer on Earth. “The Gorilla” is the other half of the best rhythm section on the planet.
SAIKI (sigh-kee)
Lead vocals. Front man. “The Ice Queen”,
She’s also the team mom.
Please drop the "Ice Queen" nonsense. It was never Saiki's nickname. "Sai-chan" and "Sensei" are the nicknames used within the band.
🤘🤘🤘
Hi great video but can you please react to TX2 New music releases,
Hi Annabelle!
We have no idea if she had any one individual in mind.
recommend band NEMOPHILA
