This song tells exactly how you feel when you lose your Mama. My brother and I can barely listen to this now but its so beautiful.

Maybe I don't remember this song at all... But all I can say is, their 2nd album 'Tangled in Rein' was the most underrated Steelheart album ever. Released in 1992, following it's successful debut album that gave us the top rated 'I'll Never Let You Go (Angel Eyes)" and "She's Gone'. While their second album enjoyed a widely released in Japan, in the US it was hardly known about it. But also comes a bit of irony from it... The fact that the lead singer of the band, Miljenko Matijevic (A Croatian born and known to many as Mike and Mili), while performing on October 31st, 1992 (Less than 3 months since the album 'Tangled in Reins' released) he was injured during a performance in Denver Colorado. There's a shocking video of that particular incident by the way... Thought he barely made it alive out of the fall, he had a serious injury to his head. What happened following that event, the tour was canceled and the band went on hiatus, then disbanded eventually. Still Matijevic went from the rehabilitation process while releasing the 1996 album 'Wait' and after years rebuilding the band's success he was known for, in 2008 the band almost reunited (one of the original members wasn't available) for their album 'Good 2B Alive'. As of 2019, Steelheart's continue to tour.

Glad to see you decided to do this one. It really shows off the softer side of Matijevic's musicianship.

I lost my mum when i was 16 (i’m 48 now) and everyday it still hurts. It’s a kick in the guts every morning. Back in 2016 i nearly lost my wife to a severe lung infection and one night (after hospital visiting hours were over) our daughter (who was 7 at the time) turned to me and said “Mum’s going to die, isn’t she?”…..how do you answer that when you don’t even you yourself? This song takes me back to those moments. I remember my wife saying to me (when she was sick) “You tell her everyday that mummy loved her. You’ll be fine. Be strong for her. I love you both”. Thankfully my wife pulled through. 6 months of recovery after 5 hours of surgery.

He also did a cover of Hallelujah. I believe it’s the best I’ve heard.

Not sure how to go about suggesting a song but can I recommend a listen to Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel, Sebastian (live 2011 Oslo) a great version of an experimental song that may not be to everyone's taste... give it a try, you may just have a favourite new tune x ruclips.net/video/PEjyho4qPi4/видео.html

Honestly, I almost laughed too when I heard “OH MAMA”, than I realized how in depth this song is vocally and how much passion and how it sounded in general.
    Amazing passion and song.

Out of all the music you've reacted to, I highly recommend a song by The Dead Kennedy's, such as A Holiday in Cambodia or California Über Alles
