You are seriously my freaking hero my ex keeps breaking into my car and because if you I changed it and he will never get in again thank you for being a brilliant person
Thanks so much for this tutorial! Straight forward and well done! I have no idea why 9 people would give this video a "thumbs down"! I would give it more "thumbs up" if I could!
If you've got two keys, there's a procedure for that in the manual. (You can look the manual up on Ford's site) Otherwise, there's probably one hidden inside, for my wife's '14 Fusion it was behind the fusebox on the left driver's side under the dashboard at roughly brake pedal level. That being said, I would recommend getting a second fob made as the process to use 2 keys to retreive it is a lot easier and you really should have a spare key anyways.
It's in the manual, or you need to retrieve it via using 2 fobs or you need to get it off the driver's side fuse box. The easiest is in the card that comes with the manual. The next best is to just get use the key fobs, you're going to want a second one anyways just in case the first one goes bad. Putting it in the programmer slot and following that procedure will get the code to pop up on the information display.
2019 Ford fusion. Bought new. Door code seems to work when it wants too. Kinda like the lock feature of touching door handle. I live pretty rural so don't really lock or need to lock car. But every once in awhile I go to get something out of car and it locks when thumbs hit those lock sensors....so I put in factory code.. no go. I have to go get key fob. Also I noticed one key fob, I'm guessing the master if u leave it in car the horn goes off. Because small town and honk was so annoying I use the second key fob or spare. Which is perfect for me as can leave in and open doors/trunk and no honks/alarms. But when I go to like the local dump or mailbox and leave car running it wants to display warning light thing of no key detected so I have to turn car off and restart. Or alarm goes off. Is this all normal for new fords? Its the first one I've ever bought brand new and making me wonder.
I enter the my code on my Ford Explorer 12 and its not unlocking the door although i can verify the default code from screen settings and it accepted to chane!! Any idea why is not working??
I have a 2001 crown Vic l seen the code but it is smeared I can’t figure it out do I do the same as shown on video. Help me tired of using my car I brought the car from somebody help me please
It's in a card in the manual. If yours, like my wife's, only came with one key and no manual, it can be found in the car. For the '14 Fusion, it was on the back side of the fuse box located to the left side of the break pedal near the side. You may have to unbolt it to get to see the backside. That being said, it's probably better to just go to a locksmith and get another fob made. Because without the fob, getting a new one is very expensive.
If you haven't got the keys, it's printed on a sticker in the car. It can vary a bit depending upon the model year, but for the '14 fusion it was behind the fuse box under the driver's dash roughly at brake pedal level. There are videos covering it.
@@Sleeplyypuppy_Blog Nothing. I found out I have to take my car to the dealership for them to program the code, and I have to pay for it. Seems they should've done this when I purchased the car.

WILL FACTORY CODE STILL BE ABKE TO UNLOCK?
Good to know! Also looking to fix or replace a keypad since winter did some damage.
How do we know what the factory code is? Is it universal?
I cant change mine. So you put in your coxe and then press 1.2?
How do you rest code if you don't know factory code but you locked keys in car?
Dude I just did the same shit 🤣
Did u figure out how? We locked ourselves out and don't know the code. Please help
I have a 2015 model car. I just bought the car. I don't know the old code. There is no booklet in the car. How do I create the new code?
Some have a sticker with the factory code up by the fuse box near the passenger floorboard. It’s hidden and pretty far up out of sight.

I don’t know if you ever got your answer but it’s in your owners manual!

Clint, my code is 34822. How do I enter in 34? Do I tap the 34 button twice in order for it to register that number?
Yes, twice

Did you try it backwards? Some of them are printed backwards. Mine wasn't, but I have seen people saying that it does.

My code is 02035, If I change it to something else, can I still use the factory one or was that deleted from the system
I'd redact that as that is hard coded in and according to the manual is required if you forget the code.
Hey dude is the same for a 2012 Ford Fusion hybrid ?? Please help
Yes it sure is
Is there a min or max amount of numbers we can use for the door code?
Great question Jennifer. The code must be 5 digits. Hope this helps!
I have a2013 edge and the cup holders are solid and the slot wasn't in the bottom of the console either where else could it be?
Thank u very much!

If what Andrew doesn’t work, you may have to take it to a shop. What kind of vehicle (year and model)?

Does this factory code work for all escapes or certain models
The codes are different for every single vehicle
What if you don’t have the factory code?
jlewber2003 you will have to go to the dealer so they can pull it for you.
As long as you have two programmed keys is a pretty simple sequence you can follow to get that code from the system. Just look it up on RUclips
If you haven't got the keys, it's printed on a sticker in the car. It can vary a bit depending upon the model year, but for the '14 fusion it was behind the fuse box under the driver's dash roughly at brake pedal level. There are videos covering it.
My factory code does not open the door, and it doesn't let me reprogram, so now what?
What helped?

Thanks for responding! I’ve been outside 3 hours trying to get it. Did you try taking out the battery?
My factory code only locks. I bought it used from a person
😂😂😂
How do I erase the old code I changed it but the old one still works
Kevin Figueroa the factory code will always work. If your battery dies or if the system is reset, that factory code is imbedded into the vehicle.

Who still has their owners manual, unless its a new car.. Dumb video 😂
Doesn't that mean that anyone could break into your car by changing your code if they knew how?
Ladies First no they would have to know the factory code before changing it to a personalized code.
